Chapter 8: Falcon-like Confidence

Konoha Hospital

"Shihui, congratulations on your enrollment."

Rika Miyata presented a ninja tool kit, saying, "This is a gift for you."

"Thank you, Sensei."

Yume Shihui opened the kit and glanced inside; it was fully equipped with various medical ninja tools.

"Once school starts, focus on your studies."

Rika Miyata instructed, "If you're too busy, you don't have to come every day."

"I understand."

Yume Shihui raised his hand, calmly stating, "I've learned the Chakra Scalpel."

"What?"

Rika Miyata's smile froze, her tone filled with disbelief.

It wasn't that she doubted Yume Shihui, but mastering the Chakra Scalpel in half a month was simply too astonishing.

Yume Shihui didn't respond, only forming hand signs.

Seconds later, his chakra transformed into a faint green blade, sharp and radiant, like a knife.

"It's actually true!"

Rika Miyata's eyes widened as she murmured to herself.

Although Yume Shihui's Chakra Scalpel flickered unstably, there was no denying he had mastered the technique.

"Your talent might even surpass Lady Tsunade."

Rika Miyata said with deep emotion.

For a medical ninja, this was the highest praise, as Tsunade was the modern-day Hua Tuo of the ninja world.

"I'm going to see the Hokage now."

Rika Miyata beamed brightly. "If you become Lady Tsunade's disciple, I'll bask in your glory too."

"Thank you, Sensei."

Yume Shihui replied.

"Go home and wait for my good news."

Rika Miyata hurriedly dashed toward the Hokage Tower.

A knock sounded.

Sarutobi Hiruzen looked up at the office door and said, "Come in."

"Lord Hokage."

Rika Miyata entered, bowing slightly.

"It's you, Rika."

Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled and asked, "What's the matter?"

"Shihui has learned the Chakra Scalpel."

Rika Miyata got straight to the point.

Sarutobi Hiruzen froze, surprise flashing in his eyes.

His talent as a medical ninja was that extraordinary?

Terrifying!

This boy was destined for greatness!

"Don't tell anyone about this for now."

Sarutobi Hiruzen cautioned.

He was worried his old friend Danzo Shimura would find out. Knowing Danzo's personality, he'd likely demand Shihui for himself, perhaps even shouting, "Hiruzen, you'll regret this."

"I wonder if Hinata will take that step."

Yume Shihui pondered as he walked through a small grove.

His actions were, in essence, putting pressure on Hinata Hyuga.

This could lead to two outcomes: either she'd lose control or break through her limits.

"Stop right there!"

An arrogant voice called from ahead.

Yume Shihui looked up and saw familiar faces.

It was the three boys who had bullied Hinata Hyuga last time.

Their injuries had already healed.

In a world with medical ninjas, that was perfectly normal.

They dared to come back? Were they that bold?

But Yume Shihui quickly understood why.

Behind them stepped out an older boy, clearly much older.

Yume Shihui glanced at him.

He carried a backpack but wore no ninja headband—likely a senior student.

The classic trope: after beating the younger ones, the older one shows up.

"Boss, that's him!"

The boy on the left recalled the previous moonlight incident, his face showing fear.

This was the ninja world.

They naturally assumed the moonlight was some kind of ninjutsu, so they had sought out a sixth-year student.

"Boss, will we win?"

He couldn't help but worry.

"We'll win. Trust the boss."

The boy on the right answered confidently.

"Kneel and apologize."

The older boy sneered.

When the three boys had described Yume Shihui, they made him sound like a god descended from the heavens.

But now, seeing him in person, he was just a scrawny kid. How strong could he be?

Three against one, and they still lost? Were they incompetent?

He suspected the boys had exaggerated to convince him to act.

Yume Shihui smirked.

Why did this guy have the confidence of a falcon?

Fine.

Could he tolerate this insult? He had just acquired a new gu.

"Hey, didn't you hear me?"

The boy grew angry when Yume Shihui ignored him.

He formed hand signs.

Poof!

An identical clone of the boy appeared.

This was the Clone Technique, one of the Three Basic Techniques.

Unlike the Shadow Clone Technique, a regular clone could only serve as a distraction.

The two boys charged at Yume Shihui, weaving side to side to confuse him.

"Gotcha!"

Seeing Yume Shihui stand still, their grins widened, their confidence peaking.

Using the Clone Technique against an ungraduated kid was practically foolproof.

As they closed in, both boys swung their fists.

The next moment, the boy on the left vanished.

The boy on the right, still swinging, cried out in pain.

It felt like he'd punched a bronze wall; his hand instantly swelled.

"All flash, no substance."

Yume Shihui said calmly.

It was the Bronze Skin Gu. He had used the Bronze Skin Gu.

The effect was outstanding.

Next, he'd test the Moonlight Gu and the Small Light Gu.

Yume Shihui extended his hand.

He channeled his chakra into the Moonlight Gu and Small Light Gu.

A blue moonblade shot from his palm.

Yume Shihui's attack style differed from the original work.

Perhaps due to the system's fine-tuning.

The moonblade, previously the size of a hand, had doubled in size with the Small Light Gu.

Its power had also doubled.

"Ah! My kidney!"

The boy clutched his bleeding waist, his confidence shattered, retreating frantically.

He glanced back to see his three lackeys had long since fled.

"One week from now, all four of you will wait for me here."

Yume Shihui stepped forward slowly.

He spared the boy because he had thought of a way to make use of them.

They could serve as practice for Hinata Hyuga, helping her overcome her fears.

It was a way to squeeze out their remaining value.

Yume Shihui was quite satisfied with his new gu.

By Konoha's standards, someone who could use the Three Basic Techniques qualified as a genin.

That boy, though not yet graduated, was decent with his Clone Technique and taijutsu.

Yet, against Yume Shihui, he was utterly powerless.

Yume Shihui returned to his wooden house.

He stored the food he bought in the fridge.

It was prepared for Hinata Hyuga for tomorrow.

After a brief rest, Yume Shihui went to his garden.

Planting moon orchids had triggered an achievement, so he decided to plant more.

Chili peppers, tomatoes, cabbages, and green onions.

He also planted orange and peach trees behind the house.

In his previous life, Yume Shihui was a third-generation farmer; his grandparents loved growing these.

After a busy session, he began training.

Sinking his mind into his aperture, Yume Shihui confirmed the parasitic worms were fine, then used his chakra to refine the aperture walls.
