Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Goddess Was Never Meant to Be Innocent

"Love her or unleash her, they said. But what if she was born to be both?"

Ava's Penthouse — Midnight Rainfall

The storm outside hit the glass like war drums. Thunder cracked, wind screamed, and in the center of it all—Ava stood barefoot by the window, champagne glass in one hand, naked beneath his shirt.

The press had called her ethereal tonight.

The cameras loved her.

But in this silence…

She felt like she was unraveling thread by thread.

Behind her, Damien leaned against the doorway of her bedroom. Shirt unbuttoned. Collarbone bruised where she bit him hours ago.

Their night had been… different.

Not soft.

But deeper.

Like he touched her to memorize her.

Like he knew something was coming.

She didn't turn as she spoke.

"Was it you?"

Her voice was calm. Controlled. Like a woman who built kingdoms from ashes.

"The leak. The sex tape. Was that you?"

Silence.

Then Damien stepped closer, his voice low. Dangerous.

"You think if it was me, you'd still be standing?"

"I think if it was you, you wouldn't be able to look me in the eye right now."

He did.

He looked her right in the eye.

"You don't know what I've done, Ava.

You only know what I've let you see."

She turned. Slammed the glass on the marble.

"Then show me.

Stop hiding in the dark and pretending you're the monster under my bed."

He closed the distance in one stride.

And kissed her.

Hard.

Desperate.

Like he was trying to silence all the truths threatening to bleed.

Her back hit the window as he lifted her, rough hands on her thighs, mouth devouring hers. She gasped, nails digging into his shoulders.

It was hunger.

It was violence.

It was love, dressed like destruction.

He whispered against her lips,

"You want the monster, Ava?

You want to know what I did for you?"

He spun her, pinning her to the glass, breath hot on her neck.

"I bled men for you.

I watched your first kiss on film while putting a bullet through the man who leaked it.

And you still think I'm the villain?"

Ava trembled.

Not from fear.

But from truth.

Because some part of her… liked it.

Elsewhere — The Shadows Whisper

In a monastery drowned in shadow, the man with the scar paces.

He lights a candle with black flame.

A woman kneels.

Whispers,

"She's waking."

He nods.

"Too late.

He's already chosen love."

She looks up.

Eyes blood red.

"Then it's time to unleash her."

Flashback Fragment — Ava, Age 10

Ava kneels before a fire.

A silver dagger in her hand.

A child's voice beside her, trembling.

"Are we still friends after this?"

She smiles.

"We're family.

And family bleeds together."

She drives the blade into the flame.

Final Scene — Red Carpet Event

Ava steps out of the limo, flawless in a slit-black gown.

Cameras flash.

Reporters scream.

But she sees him.

Damien.

Across the crowd.

Watching.

And beside him—

A woman.

The one with blood-red eyes.

Ava freezes.

Because she knows her.

From dreams.

From memories.

From the burning cathedral.

And the woman smiles.

Like she's finally come to collect.

Cliffhanger Quote:

"You were never the victim, Ava.

You were the offering."
