Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: Dream

*Kyro's P.O.V* (after five minutes)

This must be section G, the sports unit.

"Let's start asking questions over there," Kelvin said with a smile, calmly pointing to a large basketball court.

He started walking, and we began asking questions, but no one seemed interested in talking to us.

The same thing happened in other sports units. "We're not getting anywhere here," Kelvin said with a sigh, leading the way.

I took the lead, and we had one unit left to visit. Before we could ask, someone jumped out of the water.

"Nice try, Kyro," Kelvin said, disappointed.

"Let's go," he added.

We started to leave the swimming unit, but a loud voice from behind stopped us.

"Hey!!!" the voice said in an American accent. The person quickly ran towards us.

"Are you looking for team members?" he asked quickly.

"Yes," I replied softly.

"Jacob," he introduced himselves, extending his left hand.

"Kyro," I replied quietly, shaking hands.

"Nice to meet you, Kyro. And you?" Jacob asked, turning to Kelvin.

"Kelvin," he replied, shaking hands with Jacob.

Jacob had curly hair, brown eyes, and a suitable height. When he was about to speak again, a loud shout came from an older man in the swimming unit, calling out Jacob's name.

"It's my coach, nice to meet you both. I need to go now. Let's meet later," Jacob said, quickly running away.

However, as he left, we also left.

When we exited, we headed to Club G and saw Krypton there. Strangely, the girl who was with him earlier was nowhere to be found. We approached him, and he asked, "Did you find anyone?", then he handed me a piece of paper.

"Read it," he said, and I did.

The note read: "I'm Xyrus. I want to be in your team. I'm from Club F. I enrolled in F unit because I have a talent. I wish that I can be useful to your group. Please, let me join." — Xyrus

"I recruited him," Krypton said with a thumbs-up. I smiled.

"And the girl with you, who's she?" Kelvin asked, joining the conversation.

"Carmella. She's from Unit E. She knows a lot about medicine," Krypton replied calmly, adjusting his sword.

Then, he turned to Kelvin and asked, "Who are you? Do we know each other?"

Kelvin raised an eyebrow. "I'm Kelvin, Kyro's friend."

"Tss, find your own allies," Krypton said irritated, looking at me.

"Did you just say something, bro?" Kelvin asked angrily, hearing Krypton's muttering.

"We still need one more," I interrupted, trying to stop their argument.

Meanwhile, Jacob approached us.

"Sorry I'm late," he said, carrying a small shoulder bag.

"Which club are you from? There's no bar in this school. Why aren't you wearing a uniform?" Krypton asked sarcastically.

"What bar? I'm from Unit G, aren't I?" they bickered.

As we stood there, I noticed students from different units leaving. I wondered how Psy was doing. Had they formed a team? What kind of festival was this?

"I'm going home," Krypton said, turning to leave.

"Kyro, are you coming? I need to go home too." he added, looking at me.

"Yeah, I'll come with you." I answered.

"What's taking you so long? Let's go!" Kelvin shouted, walking away.

"Wait, I'll come with you. Don't leave me behind," Jacob said, chasing after us.

After one hour, time 7:30 o'clock in the evening

"I'm home," I said, taking off my shoes and entering the house.

"Oh, you're here," my grandfather said, smiling. I approached him and greeted him with a bow.

"I just got home, Grandpa," I said softly, then headed to my room.

"Where are you going, kiddo?" he asked, following me.

"I'm going to my room to rest," I replied calmly, hearing the sound of a loud speaker from the next room.

"Have you eaten?" he asked.

"Yes, Grandpa," I replied, leaving him outside. I entered my room, dropped my bag, and lay down on my bed.

"I'm tired," I muttered before drifting off to sleep.

"We died because of you!"

"You killed us. You're a murderer!"

"Kyro... Please save us..."

I woke up, feeling like I was surfacing from a deep ocean due to the repeated calls of my name.

"Grandpa," I said softly, opening my eyes.

"Kiddo, you were having a nightmare," he said worriedly, seeing that I was awake.

"Grandpa, what happened?" I asked, noticing him crying.

"Thank goodness you're awake, kiddo," he said, wiping away his tears. My head hurts. Why can't I stand up? Was it just a dream?

"How are you feeling, kiddo?" he asked, helping me sit up. I felt his support behind my back.

"I'm fine, Grandpa," I replied. But I was taken aback by his words.

"Kiddo, why aren't you responding? Kiddo? Can you hear me?" he repeated, concern etched on his face. Is this another dream?

I felt Grandpa shaking my body, bringing me back to reality.

"Grandpa," I called out softly, noticing the noise around me.

"Kiddo, thank goodness you're awake again," he said, wiping away tears from his eyes.

"What happened?" I asked emotionlessly.

He got up, took a shirt from my drawer, and returned to sit beside me.

"Do you remember your dream, kiddo?" he asked, removing my shirt and wiping sweat from my back with a towel.

"Dream?" I replied, suddenly remembering my nightmare. Before I could fully recall everything, my head started hurting.

Yes, it was a dream.

"Don't think about it, kiddo. Rest for now," he said.

"But Grandpa, can dreams come true?" I asked, looking up at him.

He removed his glasses and started cleaning them.

"It's not possible, kiddo. What kind of dream did you have that you're talking so much? You should sleep now; you have school tomorrow," he said in a tone that conveyed concern and a hidden message.

Instead of asking further, I nodded and agreed.

"Okay, Grandpa." He stood up, walked to the light switch, and said, "If you need help, just call me." With that, he left my room.

Was it just a dream?

*Ferdinand's P.O.V* (outside Kyro's door)

I'm worried about his dream. Hopefully, it's not like what Leo dreamed about back then.

Next Morning, time 7:37 o'clock in the morning

*Krypton's P.O.V*

Transferre, where are you? I didn't think you'd be late again on the second day. Ugh, annoying.

"Good morning," a girl's voice said, high-pitched and clear.

"Oh, Carmella, you're here," I said, noticing her. She looks even more beautiful today.

"Thanks for yesterday," she said, bowing her head.

I smiled. "No problem." Just then, another teammate arrived.

"Krypton!" he called out, running towards me.

Ahuh? Kelvin?

"Where's Kyro?" I asked, annoyed.

"GOOD MORNING!!" he said, running towards me and trying to hug me. I blocked him with my arm.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked, annoyed.

Just then, Xyrus arrived, followed by the guy from Unit G.

"Is Kyro here yet?" they asked, noticing his absence.

"Do you see him?" I replied sarcastically.

Obviously, he's not here.

Tss, where are you, Transferre!?

*Kyro's P.O.V* (7:38 o'clock)

"You received a message from your friend."

"Kyro, where are you? Are you going to keep us waiting here? We still need to find one more member to complete the team. Where are you?" from: Krypton

I'm running late. I looked out the jeep window, taking in the fresh air from the trees.

As I rode the jeep, I saw people gathered on the road, concerned about something happening to one of them.

The jeep continued until we reached the gate near my school. I got off and quickly walked to Club Z, where groups might gather.

When I arrived, I saw Krypton's angry face. He's definitely going to scold me again.

"There he is," Kelvin said as I approached.

"Sorry, I couldn't find a ride," I explained.

"Let's go. Don't waste any more time," Krypton said.

We were about to leave Club Z when a loud noise echoed through the room, followed by a voice from the speakers above.

"Attention students! Do not leave your units. All gates and rooms will be shut down due to an emergency. Listen! Everyone, please return to your units immediately. Repeat, please return to your units!" The voice conveyed fear and concern.

I stopped and thought for a moment. Could this be related to what I saw earlier on the road?

"What could be the reason for this emergency warning?" Jacob asked, confused.

"Don't listen to them. Let's go, we still need to find another member," Krypton said nonchalantly, continuing to walk.

"Wait, Krypton, something's wrong," I said, stopping him. He briefly turned around, and I continued speaking.

"Earlier when I was riding a jeepney, I saw a group of people focused on—"

"Focused on what? Did something happen?" Carmella asked, interrupting when she noticed I stopped speaking.

"Are you okay, Kyro? Are you sick?" Kelvin asked, feeling my forehead and neck.

This can't be…
