Though I have never seen anything like it, I pulled myself together and jumped into it. My paws hitting the soft cushion of a seat, carefully making my way into the cage prepared with a snack and a soft pillow to lay down on. The Cage was secured in the right back seat with a belt, holding it tightly to the back of the seat. They got inside of the car aswell and we started moving, the little girl sitting next to me, poking snacks into my cage to get my attention, which worked quite well, I dont say no to snacks. After a while, the little girl started watching the scenery got by the window and I snuggled up into my pillow, slowly falling asleep to the quiet Music coming from the Radio.
I woke up to small strokes on my head, quickly opening my eyes, only to see the little girls face right in front of me. She was poking her finger through the little holes in the door of my cage, trying to reach me. I got up and went to the back of the cage. We stopped moving a few minutes later, as the little girl got out of the car with her backpack, her mother untangled the seatbelt around my cage, picked it up and started walking torwards what will be my new home. It was a cold and snowy afternoon but as soon as we got inside the house, it was warm and cozy. I could smell the recently burned wood from the fireplace, the oranges in the kitchen and the cat food, just squished out of the package into a small bowl on the Kitchen floor.
The little girl happily jumped up and down, waiting for her mother to put the cage down on the living room floor. As they put off their clothes and shoes, I looked around the room through the gaps on my cage's plastic walls. Everything was full of decoration I have never seen before, a big tree stood in one corner of the room with a star on top and lights all around, the fireplace had socks hanging from it and there were colorful presents all over the floor. After a few minutes, they sat around my cage, letting the little girl open the door. They were patient, letting me get out slowly, step by step, even the little girl took a few steps back while throwing some treats on the carpet floor. As I approached the treats that smelled so delicious, I took another big look around the whole room and started eating one treat after another.
The little girl slowly started reaching her hand torwards me, so I started sniffing it. Her mother mentioned her name for the first time since I got here, as they told Monica to be careful so she doesnt get scratched. I slowly started to let Monica stoke me, her hand gently moving through my soft black fur, I started moving torward her.
