Chapter 13: "The Ōtsutsuki Descend"
Location: Konoha – Village Gates – Midday
The sky above Konoha was unnaturally still, the air heavy with an unspoken warning. The village bustled with preparations—shinobi patrolled the walls, seals were reinforced, and civilians were ushered to safe zones. At the gates, Galen Anthony stood alongside Tsunade, Naruto, Sasuke, Kaguya, and a coalition of Kages: Gaara of the Sand, Darui of the Cloud, and Mei of the Mist. Killer Bee cracked his knuckles, ready to fight, while Kakashi and Jiraiya coordinated the rear defenses.
Galen's senses prickled through the Force, a cold dread settling in his chest. "They're here."
Kaguya's eyes narrowed, her hands glowing faintly with Force energy. "Kinshiki and Momoshiki. The Ōtsutsuki vanguard. They come to test this world's strength."
Naruto grinned, his golden chakra flaring. "Let's give 'em a welcome they won't forget!"
Sasuke's Sharingan spun, his hand resting on his sword. "Stay focused, idiot. These aren't Akatsuki."
Tsunade's voice was sharp. "Positions, everyone. Protect the jinchuriki at all costs."
Before anyone could move, the sky split open. A glowing portal of white and gold erupted, and two figures descended. Kinshiki, a hulking giant with horns and a massive axe, landed with a quake that cracked the earth. Momoshiki, slender and regal, floated beside him, his Byakugan-like eyes scanning the group with disdain. Their robes shimmered with an otherworldly glow, and their presence radiated power unlike anything the shinobi had faced.
Momoshiki's voice was smooth, almost melodic. "So this is the world Kaguya betrayed us for? Pathetic."
Kinshiki growled, hefting his axe. "Let's harvest it and be done."
Kaguya stepped forward, her mortal form small but unyielding. "You will not touch this world. It is no longer yours."
Momoshiki laughed, his eyes glinting. "A mortal? You've fallen far, Kaguya. Your weakness disgusts me."
Galen ignited his lightsaber, the blue blade humming. "She's stronger than you'll ever know. Leave, or we'll make you."
Momoshiki's smile widened. "A foreigner with a strange power. Intriguing. Let's see if it's worth my time."
The Battle Begins
The clash was instantaneous. Momoshiki raised a hand, and a torrent of chakra-absorbing orbs rained down. Galen deflected them with a Force barrier, his lightsaber carving through the stragglers. Naruto and Sasuke leaped into action, Naruto's Rasenshuriken clashing with Kinshiki's axe, while Sasuke's Susanoo arrow targeted Momoshiki.
Kinshiki roared, his axe splitting the ground, but Gaara's sand rose to block it, protecting Naruto. "You're strong," Gaara said calmly, "but you're not unstoppable."
Bee transformed into the Eight-Tails, his tentacles lashing at Kinshiki, while Darui's black lightning struck from above. Mei's lava release forced Momoshiki to dodge, his movements fluid and precise.
Kaguya faced Momoshiki directly, her Force-enhanced reflexes matching his speed. She redirected his chakra orbs back at him, her voice steady. "You rely on stolen power. It will fail you."
Momoshiki sneered, absorbing the orbs and unleashing a massive chakra beast—a dragon of fire and shadow. "You lecture me? You, who consumed the divine fruit?"
Kaguya raised her hands, and a pulse of Force energy shattered the dragon's form. "I chose to protect, not destroy."
Galen joined her, his lightsaber clashing with Momoshiki's chakra blades. The Force guided his strikes, but Momoshiki's Byakugan saw every move, countering with eerie precision. "Your 'Force' is a curiosity," Momoshiki said, "but it pales before our divine might."
Galen smirked. "Keep telling yourself that."
The Shinobi Coalition
Below, the Kages and Konoha ninja fought Kinshiki's summoned beasts—monstrous creatures born of Ōtsutsuki chakra. Tsunade's strength crushed their forms, while Jiraiya's sage mode summoned massive toads to counter them. Kakashi's Kamui warped the beasts away, but his energy was waning.
Shikamaru coordinated the teams, his shadow possession binding Kinshiki's movements momentarily. "Now, Choji!"
Choji expanded, his fist slamming Kinshiki into a cliff. Hinata's Gentle Fist disrupted the giant's chakra flow, while Tenten's weapon barrage kept him off balance.
Naruto and Sasuke synced their attacks, Naruto's Nine-Tails cloak enhancing Sasuke's Amaterasu. The black flames burned Kinshiki's armor, forcing him to retreat. Sasuke glanced at Naruto. "Don't get cocky."
Naruto grinned. "You're one to talk!"
Galen and Kaguya's Stand
Momoshiki grew frustrated, his composure cracking. He absorbed Kinshiki's chakra, transforming into a more powerful form—his skin glowing red, his eyes blazing. "Enough games!"
He unleashed a chakra storm, leveling the battlefield. Galen raised a Force barrier, protecting the shinobi, but the strain was immense. Kaguya stood beside him, her own Force energy bolstering his. "We can't hold this forever," she warned.
"Then we don't," Galen said. He closed his eyes, reaching into the Force. A vision flashed: Momoshiki's arrogance, his reliance on absorbed chakra. "He's vulnerable when he overextends."
Kaguya nodded. "I'll distract him."
She leaped forward, using the Force to manipulate the debris, hurling it at Momoshiki. He absorbed the attacks, laughing. "Is this your strength, traitor?"
But Kaguya's distraction gave Galen an opening. He surged forward, his lightsaber aimed at Momoshiki's core. The Ōtsutsuki dodged, but Galen anticipated it, using the Force to pull him back. The blade grazed Momoshiki's arm, drawing a hiss of pain.
"You dare?!" Momoshiki roared, unleashing a massive chakra wave.
Naruto and Sasuke joined the fray, their combined Rasenshuriken and Susanoo arrow striking Momoshiki from both sides. The Ōtsutsuki staggered, his form flickering.
The Turning Point
Kinshiki, weakened by the coalition, fell to Gaara's sand coffin, his body crumbling into ash. Momoshiki screamed, his power destabilizing without his partner. "You insects!"
Galen stepped forward, his voice calm but commanding. "You're alone now, Momoshiki. Your clan's harvest ends here."
Momoshiki laughed bitterly. "You think this is the end? The Ōtsutsuki will come. You cannot stop eternity."
Kaguya approached, her eyes soft but resolute. "Eternity is not conquest. It is choice. I chose this world. You can choose to leave."
Momoshiki's eyes widened, then narrowed. "Never."
He lunged, but Galen and Kaguya acted as one. Galen's Force push held him in place, while Kaguya's telekinetic grip crushed his chakra core. Naruto's Rasengan and Sasuke's Chidori struck simultaneously, and Momoshiki's form shattered, his essence dissolving into light.
The portal above closed, and the battlefield fell silent.
Location: Konoha – Hokage's Office – Evening
The village was scarred but standing. The coalition gathered, weary but victorious. Tsunade addressed the Kages. "We've shown the Ōtsutsuki we're not prey. The alliance holds."
Gaara nodded. "The Sand will strengthen our defenses. This war isn't over."
Darui grinned. "Cloud's in. Those horned freaks won't know what hit 'em."
Mei's eyes softened. "You've united us, Galen. That's no small feat."
Galen bowed slightly. "It's not me. It's all of us."
Naruto slapped Sasuke's shoulder. "Told ya we'd kick butt, Teme!"
Sasuke shoved him off, but his eyes held a spark of warmth. "Shut up."
Kaguya stood by Galen, her expression serene. "The Ōtsutsuki elders will come. But for the first time, I am not afraid."
Tsunade raised an eyebrow. "You're one of us now, Kaguya. Don't get too comfortable."
Kaguya smiled—a genuine, human smile. "I wouldn't dream of it."
Location: Ōtsutsuki Realm – Void
The elders watched the orb, their faces unreadable. "Momoshiki and Kinshiki have fallen," one said.
The other's eyes glowed. "The foreigner's power is… unexpected. We must act directly."
A third figure emerged, cloaked in shadow. "Prepare the divine tree. This world will be ours."
The orb pulsed, and a new portal began to form.
Location: Konoha – Rooftop – Night
Galen and Kaguya stood under the stars, the Force humming between them. A vision flashed: a massive tree, its roots choking the world, and a figure cloaked in white, more powerful than Momoshiki. Naruto and Sasuke fought side by side, their bond unbreakable. Kaguya stood with them, her mortal heart stronger than any chakra.
Galen opened his eyes. "The final battle is coming."
Kaguya nodded, her hand brushing his. "And we will face it together."
Naruto's voice echoed from below. "Hey, you two! Quit starin' at the sky and come eat some ramen!"
Sasuke's dry retort followed. "Let them be, moron."
Galen laughed, a rare sound. "Let's go. We've earned it."
As they descended, the stars above Konoha burned brighter, a testament to the light growing in the shinobi world—a light that would face the darkest storm yet.
