Elaine's POV
'Welcome to Raven Hollow, beautiful. How's your adventure going?' The first part of the letter in the envelope read.
I was just about to toss it into the trash, concluding that it was mistakenly sent to me. However, a folded paper fell off.
'Sorry about the fall, though,' it read, bringing back memories of Kai throwing me to the other side of the room. I checked to see if a name was written on it, but I saw nothing. Something about this writing and the energy it exuded didn't sit right with me.
Nobody knew about the fall except for me and Kai, so how did someone else know? Worse. What if whoever wrote it meant something else by fall? Going through the letter for the fourth time now, I decided to keep it as proof and ask either Kai or Damien about it later.
I tried to go to sleep at least to make up for my long night but the pair of green eyes I met on the woods stared right back at me each time I closed my eyes. His aura was quite different from Kai's as well as Damien's and even though my perverted mind didn't let me think straight last night, I was sober now and I knew something happened to me after I saw him. He did something to me. Something Damien or Kai hadn't done and it scared me that if he had more access, he was going to do more.
I let out a deep breath, "You have to calm down, Elaine," I told myself, "At least look for ways to know more about the creatures here," I told myself.
I was right. I had to know what I was dealing with in order to deal with it properly. Glancing over to the small shelf, I threw my feet from the bed to the cold floor to take a look. The collections were strange and I couldn't help but think if every room had a similar book shelf or if this one was left for me.
I saw something about shapeshfters, werewolves, vampires, fae, and other things written in strange languages. I impatiently flipped through the pages of almost all the books I could find, but nothing seemed to keep me going. Plus, my instinct was so strong that the answers I was looking for wasn't there.
After a while of futile searching, I decided to go get some fresh air. Outside, was seated the old woman who was the motel keeper. It hit me then that I didn't even know her name. However, it wasn't going to be that way for too long.
"Hey, Ma'am. Good day," I greeted politely, trying not to sound awkward.
"Sit," she instructed.
I did as she instructed while thinking of a better approach since the first one had failed.
"I am Elaine, an investigative journalist," I started.
"Did your job bring you here or you brought yourself here under the cover of your job?"
"Both," I answered after an awkward silence. She just smiled and looked away as if she already knew too much which shouldn't be said.
"I am Cordelia."
"Oh," I rubbed my sweaty hands against my pants. "Nice to meet you, Mrs Cordelia."
"I can't say the same about you," she lowered her voice, turning to face me.
"Why so?"
"Because you and I know that your presence here only stirred the mud already settled at the bottom of the water,"
"That's exactly what I want to know, and you really look like someone that knows enough. Please, I need help. I need your help."
There was a momentarily silence before she let out a sigh.
"Shall we go in?"
I stood on my feet immediately and helped her up. I didn't talk while she led the way. I just followed, wondering what I was about to uncover.
"Here," she pointed a picture frame.
Trying to decipher what each symbol meant, she grew impatient and started speaking.
"In Raven Hollow, there are supernatural beings, or better, creatures of the night. Damien, vampire. Kai, a very old lycan and others that haven't unveiled themselves yet."
"And… are you one of them?"
"Nope, I'm just an unfortunate old woman as you can see," she chuckled.
"Oh…"
"Listen, Elaine. I am a human and in the world of these beings, we don't stand a chance. My knowledge is very limited, but the little I know says that you are one of a kind. The time of your arrival was never said, but they all know that a day like this would come and I tell you, everything would seem right inside the picture until you get out."
"What do you mean?"
"You're obviously drawn to the two and whether you want to admit it or not, you don't even know what you want. This minute you think that you'll stay committed to Kai and in the next, Damien shows up and everything you have with Kai just seems to wash off."
"Why is that?"
"Perhaps, they're attracted to you and because you don't even know how much power you have in you, you don't know how to handle such attractions ," she looked me straight in the eyes. "Right?"
"Right," I agreed to her words without arguing because all she said was true. Funny enough I didn't even know that it was this obvious for a woman as old as her to notice.
"And you also need to do something about that because you can't have all at the same time."
"Can you please help me know how to tell who really belongs to me or the right person for me… or something like that," I ranted only to have Damien walk in.
"What are you two talking about?" He asked, raising a brow at us.
He didn't exchange words with a Cordelia, but either with his eyes or something, I was sure that he sent a message, because even before I could think of an excuse, she had already cleared her throat and excused herself.
"Back to your room, shall we?" He gestured like the Disney men did to their love. Well I didn't need to be told that Damien was far from it even though he pretended to be sometimes.
I lowered my gaze, trying to avoid his while leading us to my room. Shutting the door behind us, I tried to pick between two most important questions.
"Why are you here?"
His raised brow was the response I got firstly before he sat on my bed. He searched my eyes for something and then was when I hoped that he had not listened to my conversation with Cordelia.
"I came to see you."
"Why?"
"Because we're a thing now. The ritual made a thing and it doesn't matter if you don't want to admit it because it already is," he explained effortlessly.
"Well that doesn't answer the question, 'why?' And I'd also like to know why you did what you did not even with my consent."
"Alright. I actually came here to see you and maybe tear your pussy if you let me, but it's also okay if you don't want me to. I'd leave right away," he stood and began to walk past me.
At this moment, I wished I could really not betray myself, or at least decide to let him go, let him know that I could still function without him, but my hands moved involuntarily, holding him back while the other found it's way to undo his belt.
"Now it's your turn," he lowered his voice, "why didn't you let me go?"
It took a little while for me to realise what I was actually doing and how he had turned the table too quickly.
"Maybe because I want the same thing you want," I shrugged, this time, rubbing my small warm palm against his dick, looking into his eyes for a genuine emotion.
"Say it."
"I want you to tear my pussy," I admitted.
A mischievous smirk was playing on his face as to my response or maybe how I was toying with his dick.
He tossed my hand away after pulling his black cotton underwear down, leaving himself bare before me. He pushed his dick into my mouth, fucking it as though he got the information wrong, stretch my pussy not my mouth.
"Why is everything about you this complicated?" he asked through a smirk and darkened eyes.
He proceeded to dragging my sweatpants along side with my panties. "You are just so difficult to get over," he kept talking while undressing me. "Yet you are extremely delicate…"
He pushed me to the bed where he didn't even wait for me to adjust myself. He dragged me to him with one hand and rubbed his dick with the other hand. He didn't waste time to slide into me when he was almost at his breaking point. Thrusting deeper, harder and faster into me, my soft moans graduated into wreaking screams until we both reached our climax and he collapsed next to me.
"Lest I forget, Elaine," he whispered close to my ear while playing with my nipple. "If you must ask, ask the right questions."
