"I heard the Emblems are throwing a victory party at Cipher. I'm going there do you wanna come with?"Bai Yiran asked standing at the slightly open door to his friend's room.
"I'm not into parties,"Li Yang refused, keeping his eyes glued on his phone.
"Come on it will be fun. Everyone's going."
"Who is everyone?"
"Our teammates," Bai Yiran informed ,"They booked a VIP section so you won't be disturbed ,"he added persuasively as if that would convince his friend to agree to go to the party given that Li Yang loved his personal space,away from crowded areas.
Li Yang remained silent for a moment, taking his time to consider the offer.
"So are you in or?" Bai Yiran asked impatiently.
"Let me change real quick then we can go,"he said getting up from his bed.
"You look just fine with that attire. In fact you always look good in everything,"Bai Yiran complimented.
"Shut up before I change my mind about the party."
Li Yang was basically very handsome and also beautiful. He was equipped with sharp and well defined facial features,a flawless porcelain skin and a tall ,lean and slightly athletic figure added to his package of beauty.
He wore a crispy white shirt and slim- fitting grey pants.
"Why are you dressed so formally? You're not going to the office,"Bai Yiran asked clearly disapproving his friend's outfit," The baggy trousers from earlier were just fine,"he added.
"Let's go before I change my mind," he sassed.
"Are you threatening me?" Bai Yiran asked in a teasing voice.
"Maybe."

Bai Yiran parked his car and the two friends headed towards the club's entrance and on getting in they were welcomed by the flickering neon lights, accompanied by loud music and howls of drunk dancers swaying their bodies on the dancefloor. Without looking around further they headed upstairs to the VIP section where members of the two teams were assembled having the time of their life. Ocean Emblems always held victory parties after winning matches whether it was an indoors party or an outdoors one. Their manager was flexible always allowing them to have fun. She was lenient and always patient with the boys.
In contrast to them,Red Dragon Chess had a male no nonsense manager,not willing to tolerate even the slightest mistakes,the guy was ambitious and it was one of the reasons why the team was disciplined. Their relationship with their manager was strictly professional having no room for personal feelings. Whenever they won a match,a few high fives among the members would considered a celebration. They didn't indulge in much fun and the team members were distant with each other .
Li Yang hadn't planned to consume alcohol at first but he finally decided a cocktail wouldn't hurt. With all the boys from the two teams,they toasted to their victory and they began disappearing one by one.
From the VIP section Li Yang could see everything happening downstairs especially the dancefloor. As expected,the Ocean Emblems boys were there on the dancefloor,four of them, their team leader was apparently out of sight and no one seemed to mind about his whereabouts.
The Red Dragon Chess members; Fan Mingzhao,Zhang Wei and Wang Jie were dancing downstairs while Bai Yiran was seated at the counter flirting with the bartender lady. Li Yang found himself alone at the couch of the VIP section,not believing even his best friend had decided to ditch him.
"Where is the fun that he talked about?" Li Yang questioned himself annoyed and frustrated by how bored he felt . Then right next to him a figure plopped on the couch catching his attention. It was Chen Hao.
"Hi,"Chen Hao greeted in a small voice pouring himself a drink on the tumbler. He had bought a whole ass bottle of alcohol.
"Hi,"Li Yang responded feeling slightly awkward. He could swear he was able to count the number of times he and Chen Hao had spoken before.Apart from playing games,they had nothing in common so it made sense that they hardly interacted before. Another reason was that Duan Yu,the Red Dragon Chess manager was territorial of his team , disliked Shu Meihun and was kind of wary of her and the Ocean Emblems afraid they would negatively influence his boys.
"You look bored,"Chen Hao said leaning back on the couch with the half full tumbler in his hand.
"I am,"Li Yang confirmed .
"How about I order more drinks and we can have a little drinking competition? "Chen Hao suggested observing the older.
"I don't think we should," Li Yang Denisse politely.
"What ? Are you afraid you'll get drunk first?" Chen Hao challenged earning a surprised gasp from the older.
"You like making people prove themselves to you?" Li Yang questioned.
Chen Hao smirked,"Sometimes," he admitted.
"There are very few people in my life I try to prove myself to maybe you can be one of them tonight,"Li Yang declared accepting the challenge and Chen Hao immediately ordered drinks.
Chugging down glass after glass,the two most beautiful boys in the club got into competitive mood, draining their asses in alcohol. One would think they were buddies having their usual drinking games but they were far from that; they were like familiar strangers- existing in the same world ,aware of each other's existence yet distant from each other.The competition ended with a draw,the two blacked out almost at the same time.
