Chapter 21 - The Female Boss Reborn in a World of Poverty 21

At night, Sky finished cleaning the kitchen and then slowly washed himself before going back to his room.

He felt shy and excited thinking about the night.

Would his wife do the same thing as she did last night?

Just thinking about it made Sky's ears turn red, and his face burned with heat.

Aries had been waiting for quite a while before Sky finally came back to the room.

As soon as she saw him return, Aries waved at him.

Her eyes clearly showed what she wanted, without any attempt to hide it.

Sky felt the intense gaze from his wife and already felt hot all over just from the way she looked at him.

Aries thought he was walking too slowly, and she didn't want to wait any longer.

She got out of bed and walked quickly to the shy little husband.

She lifted his chin and smiled, "Are you scared?"

Sky, though shy, answered honestly, "No."

"If you're not scared, then why won't you look at me?"

It was because her eyes were too fiery, as if she was going to eat him up.

Aries saw that he kept his eyes down and said nothing. She knew he was really feeling shy now.

She laughed softly and bent down to carry him up in her arms. "Afraid I'll eat you up?"

This scene was all too familiar—it just happened last night.

Sky still held onto Aries's clothes and responded this time, though his voice was quiet and shaky.

"I-I'm not scared!"

Even his voice trembled—wasn't that being scared?

Aries looked down at the little husband curled in her arms as she walked, feeling cheerful.

Sky was excited and nervous, but more than anything, he felt shy.

He was honestly a little afraid—afraid that his wife was too strong and he couldn't handle her.

This time, everything felt smoother and even more wonderful than last night.

As he dozed off in her arms, Sky was still thinking:

His wife was really strong!

If this happened every night, he would definitely be exhausted!

But… mm… it was truly such a happy feeling!

He didn't know that after he fell asleep, Aries was still helping him clear his energy channels.

So even if they were intimate every night, he would still live a long life.

Aries kissed his forehead gently and thought, her little husband's body was still too weak—it would take time before he could handle a full meal!

As expected, once an old woman gets a taste of something, she becomes wild—no limits!

Now, she finally understood why men in this world couldn't walk properly once they saw their partners.

She really got it now.

If it weren't for the fact that her little husband couldn't take too much, she wouldn't have let him go so easily.

But thinking about the future, Aries had to hold back.

She chose him herself—she couldn't bear to hurt him. What else could she do?

The next morning, the women from Aunt One's and Aunt Two's families came over to help fix Aries's house, all under Grandma Gu's watchful eye.

Yesterday, after Aries left, Grandma Gu called her two daughters over and told them how much Aries had changed.

Then she brought out the fabric and meat that Aries had given her and told her daughters they could take it, hoping that would make it easier to ask them to help Aries with her house.

Grandma Gu wasn't afraid they'd refuse—she just wanted them to see the change for themselves, so they'd agree willingly instead of feeling forced.

There was no way her daughters would accept things from their mom, especially if it was something their niece had given as a gift.

If they accepted it, what would that look like?

Besides, they weren't greedy people.

Aries was their real niece. If she and her father hadn't gone so far these past years, her aunts wouldn't have ignored her.

They had argued with their husbands many times over this niece.

Lately, they'd heard that Aries won money at the gambling house, brought home lots of things, and even bought a horse.

They felt both disappointed and relieved.

At least she had money now, right?

And she even remembered to improve the house.

Still, even knowing Aries had changed and made money, they hadn't planned to visit.

They were afraid that if they showed up, her useless husband would accuse them of trying to take their money—and maybe even hit them.

But now that they had real proof from their mother that Aries had changed, they felt more surprised than anything—and relieved.

Their niece finally knew to change, and now they could proudly visit their younger sister again.

Right away, they promised they'd come first thing the next morning to help fix the house.

There was another thing Grandma Gu didn't say—Aries said she wouldn't gamble anymore.

Before, even when she got beaten hard, she'd promise not to gamble, but she'd go back to it soon after.

It happened more than once, so Grandma Gu stayed quiet. She didn't want her daughters to be disappointed again.

It was better to watch and see.

Aunt One lived with Grandma Gu and knew Aries had visited today. Seeing she was really different this time, and hearing Doudou speak up for her, she had no problem agreeing to bring her daughters over to help with the house.

But Aunt Two had a harder time.

When she got home, her husband asked why Grandma wanted to see her.

Aunt Two told him everything her mom had said.

But nobody believed her.

It wasn't that they didn't believe her—they just didn't believe Aries.

What kind of person was Aries?

Someone who only cared about eating, drinking, flirting, gambling, and stealing—a troublemaker!

Could you believe anything she said?

They had trusted her before, but every time, she made them look like fools.

And her husband? They had tried helping them before, and every time, he only scolded them or treated them badly.

How many times had that happened?

In the end, they still went—but only because of Grandma.

This time, they made up their minds: if it turned out like before, they'd never help Aries again.

When they arrived, Sky was in the kitchen making breakfast. Aries was in the yard fetching water.

As for Aries's husband, he had just been yelled at by her.

He was lazy by nature, and since he didn't have to do anything, of course he wanted to sleep in.

But today, he didn't get to sleep in—Aries woke him up without mercy.

Really, no mercy: "If you don't get up now, I'll take your allowance."

That line always worked on him.

Hmph! People were already coming to help. And you're still sleeping? Do you have no shame?

If he had shame, he wouldn't be who he was!

Yawning, he looked at the people in the yard and started giving orders like a boss, "Fix the roof properly—it leaks. And the windows, doors, tables, chairs, all need fixing. And in the back—"

Before the others could get mad, Aries gave him a cold glare and cut him off.

"If you can't talk nicely, go make breakfast in the kitchen!"
