Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 4

At that moment some security guards, tall and imposing in their uniforms, approached quickly.

They saw what was happening earlier, without not wasting any more time one of them stepped forward, his expression neutral but authoritative.

"Ma, we've received a report of an assault. I need you to come with us, immediately for further investigations"

Upon hearing what one of the security officers just said Megan raised his hands slightly, showing him the card, her voice steady.

"I didn't assault anyone, I'm sure you saw everything yourself, but you chose to attack me because you think they are more important, so this is mine."

She pointed it to the officer once again to see.

"I'm here to conduct business at this bank."

Upon Seeing the card in her hand, the security guard was shocked and stopped immediately, this was the very first time of her seeing such a card in person, not just anyone but with a lady.

"A Supreme Black Card?" his eyes widened even more, skepticism clear in his tone. "Is this true?"

He knew this was the highest level card in this bank, and he had them saying anyone that owns one of this card's doesn't Walk around alone, they move with crowds and even the Bank's top staff do come out to welcome them.

But when looking at Megan again, he hesitated. He thought he would be seeing a man, but it was a woman, and she didn't look like a woman who could own such a card at all.

At this moment, Damien's mother's laughter rang out, even though she was still forcing her pain, but it was sharp, and cutting through the air like a blade.

"Oh come on, stop lying Megan! The supreme black card belongs to the most powerful people in the world. Do you really think anyone's going to believe that's yours?" she said, her voice dripping with scorn.

At that moment Megan's cold gaze locked onto hers.

"Believe it or not. It's none of your business, like I said before it's mine." She said, her voice steady.

"Oh, please! Look at you. An ex convict, A nobody. Do you even realize what holding a card like that implies? It screams fraud! and it's written all over you, and I'm sure after this you will be going back to prison again" Damien's sister snickered.

"And thank God Megan finally got rid of you. Imagine the embarrassment if he were still tied to you when this comes out, you would have disgrace his name again."

At that moment Damien's mother turned sharply, gesturing to the security guard again.

" This woman is pretending to own a Supreme Black Card. What are you waiting for? Arrest her before She causes more trouble! and Rubbish the name of LV cloud bank."

Upon hearing what Damien's. mother just said, Immediately the guard approached again. Compared to Megan, Damien's mother clearly looked much more like the client of this bank.

And after hearing what she said about Megan being an ex-convict, he was quite sure that Megan was just a swindler now, she must have come here for something really bad.

"You loser," the guard sneered, his voice laced with mock authority. "Hand over the card to me. I'm sure the police would love to know how you got it, since you're an ex-convict like they said."

At that moment Damien's sister crossed her arms, her smirk curling into something even more malicious. "Honestly, it's pathetic. A fraud trying to pass himself off as someone important? How desperate can you get Megan? you're just too useless to be taken seriously."

At that moment the guard puffed out his chest, emboldened by Damien's mother and sister, and reached for the card. "Let's not make this harder than it needs to be," he said smugly. "Just hand it over and spare yourself the humiliation."

"I'm not handing anything over," Megan said evenly, standing her ground.

She shocked even the security guard.

"Then you're asking for trouble, you Bastard!" the guard shot back, grabbed Megan's collar by force.

" Don't think because you're a lady I will go easy on you."

At that moment Megan's eyes darkened, and when She was about to resist and give the security guard a piece of her mind, when the heavy glass doors of the bank swung open with a sharp thud.

"Let go of her, you stupid thing!"

Immediately the words silenced the scene immediately, and every head turned toward the entrance.

The senior director of the bank Nathaniel walked out, his commanding presence instantly filling the space.

His tailored suit hugged his frame perfectly, and his boot clicked against the polished floor as he strode forward.

Immediately his gaze landed on the card in Megan's hand and his heart raced. 'That is the Supreme Black Card.'

He knew that wasn't just any black card.

It was one of the legendary Supreme Black Cards—an exclusive symbol of global power, wealth, and influence in the country and even the word.

Only ten of such cards existed, entrusted to the world's most elite figures. To see one here, in the hands of a woman who appeared so unassuming, was unthinkable.

Seeing Mr Nathaniel the security guard tried to explain, his tone dripping with caution.

"Si..Sir, this woman was trying to swindle-"

"Shut up!! shut that thing you call mouth" Nathaniel's voice cut through the scene like a blade, sharp and icy. S

Without wasting any more time he marched toward the guard and slapped him hard, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Slap!!"

The slap made the guard stumble back, clutching his face.

However before he could understand what was happening the words hit him.

"You're fired. Leave. Now."

Immediately the guard paled, his mouth opening and closing as he tried to form a protest, but Nathaniel's sharp gaze left no room for argument.

How foolish it would be of him to exchange words with someone like Nathaniel, then he stumbled away, humiliated, as the crowd watched in stunned silence.

Seeing what just happened Damien's mother, however, refused to back down, believing there must be a mistake somewhere, it has to be a mistake.

"You must be mistaken Sir," she said, her voice rising with indignation. "This woman is a fraud! She's an ex-convict and just got out of Prison today. She has no business holding that card, let alone being here."

"Exactly Sir," Damien's sister chimed in. "It's an insult to your institution to let someone like her through the doors."

At that moment Nathaniel turned to them, his lips pressing into a thin line.

"Enough of this nonsense," he said coldly, his voice freezing the room.

"You seem to misunderstand the gravity of your actions," Nathaniel continued, his tone sharp.

"Your baseless accusations and blatant disrespect are not only unfounded but deeply offensive to any of our clients. And I will not tolerate it."

Upon hearing what Nathaniel just said Damien's mother opened her mouth to speak, she doesn't know what has gotten into Nathaniel, but Nathaniel cut her off, her voice unyielding. "As of this moment, your membership with this bank, your access to do business with us is revoked."

"What?"

Damien 's mother shrieked, her face flushing with outrage she couldn't believe what she just heard. "You can't do that!"

"Oh, I can," Nathaniel replied, his voice like ice. "And I just did."
