**Chapter 4: The Birth of a Legend**
Darkness engulfed him.
Umesh felt his body undergoing a strange transformation—his limbs shrinking, his senses dulling. His mind drifted in and out of consciousness as if he was floating in an endless abyss. Then, a sudden force pushed him forward, and for the first time, he perceived a brilliant white light piercing through the darkness.
His vision gradually cleared, revealing a young woman's face—beautiful, serene, yet filled with exhaustion. But more than anything, her eyes overflowed with boundless love and warmth. A single thought flashed through his mind:
'_Is she my mother?_'
Before he could process his emotions, he was gently lifted from her arms by an elderly woman, her face marked with wisdom and kindness. She examined him and then looked at his mother with a joyous smile.
_"Maharaj will be in the nine heavens upon seeing such a beautiful prince, Maharani."_
His mother—Maharani Bela—smiled weakly but lovingly, her gaze fixed upon him.
Just then, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed through the chamber. A tall, broad-shouldered man, draped in royal red-gold attire, entered with an air of unparalleled majesty. His presence alone demanded respect. The sheer size of his towering, over-three-meter muscular frame was enough to make any man cower. But his eyes, though sharp like a warrior's, softened upon seeing the scene before him.
_"Are you all right, priye?"_ his deep voice resonated through the room.
His mother smiled. _"I am well, naath."_
The man—Maharaj Suresh Pratap—let out a breath of relief before shifting his gaze towards the tiny figure in the midwife's arms. A rare, genuine smile tugged at his lips.
_"Our son is beautiful, just like you,"_ Maharani Bela murmured, her voice filled with tenderness.
The king stepped forward, removing a gleaming emerald-studded gold ring and an elaborate necklace from his neck. He handed them to the midwife without hesitation.
_"I am overjoyed today. Take these as a token of my gratitude."_
The midwife gasped but quickly bowed in reverence. However, what shocked her even more was the next set of words from the mighty king.
_"He shall be the Yuvaraj of Mahishmati."_
A wave of whispers passed among the servants and guards present. The title of Yuvaraj was usually decided later, among all the princes. But Maharaj Suresh Pratap had just declared his newborn son as his heir.
The midwife, still in awe, gently handed the infant to his father. Maharaj Suresh Pratap cradled his son with utmost care, his large hands enveloping the tiny bundle effortlessly. He gazed down at his child with deep affection.
_"You have given me the greatest joy, my son. I, Suresh Pratap, swear to the heavens—I shall protect you, guide you, and ensure no harm ever befalls you."_
However, his expression suddenly changed as he realized something.
_'He's too quiet...'_
Unlike other newborns who cried upon birth, his son had remained silent, merely staring at him with unusually intelligent eyes. A sense of unease crept into his heart.
_"Why is he not crying?"_ he asked, his voice laced with concern.
The midwife, too, noticed this anomaly and quickly checked his vitals.
_"He is completely healthy, Maharaj."_
But the king was still worried.
As a last resort, the midwife gently held the baby in one hand and delivered a light slap on his bottom.

**Umesh's POV**
The moment I was pushed into the world, I heard an unfamiliar yet mechanical voice resounding in my mind.
**[Karma and Dharma System Binding…]**
**1%... 10%... 99%... 100%**
**[Binding Successful]**
**[Congratulations, Host, for binding with the Karma & Dharma System.]**
**[Every karma and dharma performed by the host shall be rewarded 10-10000 times.]**
I barely had time to process these words before another notification followed.
**[Congratulations, Host, for receiving the Novice Gift: Golden Luck.]**
**[Golden Luck: For one month, your critical rate will always be 10000 times.]**
Then came yet another notification—
**[Congratulations, Host, for opening your eyes in a new world and looking at your mother for the first time.]**
**[Karma ×10000 reward: Innate ability 'Eye of Observer' obtained!]**
**[Eye of Observer: Nothing in this multiverse can remain undetected from your gaze. Grants 100% immunity to all mental attacks and illusions.]**
My mind was still reeling from these overwhelming messages when—
*SMACK!*
A sudden stinging pain shot through me.
'WHAT THE HELL?!'
I barely had time to react before another slap landed on the same spot.
'Damn it! That hurts!'
Tears welled up in my eyes as my instincts took over. Despite my stubborn resolve, the pain became unbearable, and I finally let out a cry—
But it was no ordinary cry.
---
**[Congratulations, Host, for loudly crying in the new world for the first time.]**
**[Karma ×10000 reward: Innate skill 'Cosmic Lion Roar' obtained!]**
**[Cosmic Lion Roar: Your roar at its peak can shatter anything into nothingness, unless your opponent is at least two realms stronger.]**
---
A deafening roar exploded from my tiny body, shaking the very air around me.
The entire palace trembled.
Outside, birds took flight in alarm. In Mahishmati, the people looked towards the sky in awe. But this was not limited to Mahishmati alone.
From the distant Hastinapur, Bhishma's eyes snapped open in shock.
On Mahendragiri, a sage with a muscular frame and a divine axe beside him grinned in excitement.
In the silent forests, an ancient seer muttered, _"A force of destruction… truly a miracle."_
In the distant Devlok and Asuralok, celestial beings turned their gazes toward the mortal world.
And in Kuntibhoja, beside a river, a young woman wept as she placed her child in a bamboo cradle, unknowingly sending him toward a fate intertwined with mine.
The heavens themselves seemed to acknowledge my existence.
A new legend had begun.
