The war cries of the Darkin who yearned to leave the abyss grew louder and more fierce as Grim sat in his shadowy throne with only his golden reptile like eyes visibly peering through the crowds. His gaze however wasn't fixed on the crowds of warriors who let out centuries of resentment and sorrow but instead on the feint glint that shone before him, finally after over a millennia he had been deemed worthy and bestowed the status as Demon Prince, now he could finally using his renown spatial magic to summon with his newfound godly mana as portal to the mortal realm where he planned to fulfil his destiny and take revenge on the Holy Alliance which took everything from his kin as they did to so many others before his.
As Grim stood from his throne and tore open the spatial warp portal it was far grander than any he had produced before, it was more than adequate for the initial invasion force ready and willing at his disposal and with only a glance the Darkin warriors ran towards the portal with weapon in hand letting out dreadful battle cries.
Grim's right hand Noxus appeared from behind his throne and placed his hand on his liege's shoulder "You have more than fulfilled your promise my Lord, allow me to fulfil my side as your loyal servant." with those words he quickly vanished through the portal leaving behind a shadowy mist. As the remaining warriors, Grim's strongest and most trusted companions, walked alongside Grim the group entered the portal together.
Upon entering the mortal realm the imposing appearance of the Darkin was revealed, they had white hair which either contrasted to their dark grey skin or blended in with their sickly snow skin. They were a towering race of warriors who had longed for revenge, this urge they immediately unleashed as they began to cut down the unsuspecting village they had teleported before non were safe from their wrath as the Darkin tore the humans apart and quickly set the village ablaze with their otherworldly incantations.
Grim watched on as the Darkin violated and massacred the humans who stood little chance of survival once the first Darken laid it's sights on them, the humans tried desperately to resist the Darkin however as they began to show the captives they quickly took the horror they were capable of the Darkin froze, terrifying the humans more as their eyes were drawn to the figure these demons had quickly bowed down to. It was Grim who looked at the humans in indifference scanning the crowds before speaking in a language they could not understand and which only caused them to recoil in pain.
Upon seeing the reaction of the humans present Grim was disappointed and after a hand wave the Darkin forces returned to their depravity, Grim approached Noxus who had a group of robed humans huddled together in fear. "These vermin do not know the tongue of our kin, how am I expected to converse with these scum." Grim grunted while slowly crushing one of the robed men under his boot who had fell to his knees in fear and from Grim's overwhelming mana as he approached.
"My Lord I beg your patience, these ones are students of magic it appears and they claim scholars of their clan can speak our tongue." Noxus looked at his master, awaiting his praise like a child despite his menacing appearance.
"Hm!" Grim only grunted in frustration and his mana thrashed around him almost causing everyone around him to collapse. 'Tell me mortal! Do you truly have one worthy of conversing with this great one?!'
Grim called out into the mans head telepathically and after the man regained his bearings while shaking he responded back sheepishly, 'y-yes great one, the sisters of dark arts are adept in many ancient tongues los-' before he could finish his thought Grim grabbed him by the head and raised him up.
"Give me the location of these sisters." with these words he had already unleashed his darkness which emerged from his shadow and consumed the man, it stripped his mind and body down, absorbing his lifeforce and memories leaving only his skeleton behind.
Grim closed his eyes as he absorbed the information he was looking for and upon opening them his forces had finished having their fun and were stood silently awaiting his order as a true disciplined military force of an age long buried.
"To the north, we march on the mages tower August." Grim's words were absolute as the army departed immediately with gleeful faces filled with malice.
Grim looked back at the remaining mages who wept at the death of their teacher, "Bring those ones with us, they are to remain unharmed."
Although Noxus was slightly confused at why the humans were allowed to live he didn't dare question Grim as he commanded two Darkin accompanying he to tie up and escort the mages.
Grim's army ravaged every village they crossed leaving a nightmarish hellscape for any who dared follow, over the next month along their journey they had captured many women and mages as trophies and concubines for the warriors who craved the intimacy they had taken from them long ago. Grim thought of only capturing the mages however as after taking the old man's memories, whose name was Joshua, he learnt that mages were now much more rare and hard to come by in other kingdoms, this was because as time passed and ancient races were slaughtered by the zealots they also banned the practice of magic in many kingdoms deeming them as demons, this title given to the mages made Grim laugh to himself often when remembering it as this was once a name given to the Darkin, it seemed the mortals of today need reminding of what true terror really is.
Meanwhile the Kingdom of Urus was in uproar over the massacres committed in their homeland, many blamed their neighbours while others blamed their fellow lords conspiring against them. King Julian was forced to send out his knights to investigate and scout the northern outskirts and it was then that the scouts reported spotting giant demons who took joy in ravaging each village they came across and it seemed that they were heading to the Kingdoms Magic Tower. This revelation was enough for the whole of Urus to mobilize as they frantically contacted the Tower of August to notify them of the impending horde approaching them.
Grim and his forces noticed the scouts following them since the beginning but after deeming them not to be a threat they instead let them watch them indulge in their pent up desires. Kane, a shorter than average Darkin with short hair watched the scouts from behind while using a technique which allowed to him to completely hide his presence by stopping his breathing which was something he was capable of doing for hours on end as he could syphon oxygen through mana collected in the air.
Grim stood still with his eyes closed as he listened to the scouts conversations while telepathically entering Kane's mind essentially turning him into his own eyes and ears. Grim smiled knowing the fight that awaited his arrival and he let out a joyful laugh , "Brothers! the humans prepare a treat for us at August!, enjoy your woman and eat to your hearts content for tomorrow me feast on the blood of a King!" this news caused the revelling Darkin to cheer and shout which caused the captive women to tremble in confusing and fear as they simply wished for an end to their suffering and the mages who could sense the mana going wild around them with bloodlust, they vomited and cried as they realised that each of these formidable warriors was also capable of using magic, something that was unheard of in the mortal realm.
As the army ate and fucked the scouts watched in horror and as one of them signalled for the other to once again use the communication orb he was quickly dismembered as Kane revealed himself, covered in the scouts blood he took the orb from a terrified mans hand before muttering the words, "Disappear from my sight worm." he looked at the man in disgust as his blood began to rage and soon started pouring from his orifices. As Kane returned to the occupied village he knelt down before Grim who was surrounded by the tied up mages and his commanders. "The scouts have been disposed my lord." he said while looking at the ground.
Grim looked down at Kane, one of the younger Darkin born after their banishment to the dark realm, he raised a large otherworldly jagged horn which he drank from and offered the horn of ale to Kane who now had the eyes of the commanders and nearby Darkin warriors fixed on him. He accepted the honour and drank from the horn, the commanders made a spot for Kane who had just been promoted to one of the elite commanders.
As dawn broke the army had already began moving, with the carriages they had taken they were able to more easily transport their cargo to their new home, while the Darkin marched in anticipation the brave souls of Urus and the Master Wizards of the Tower prepared to vanquish the demons who threatened to devastate their home and the bastion of humanities magic society.
