Chapter 1 - Feel The Flow

Caspian begins to walk back to his room before he's stopped by his eldest brother.

"What was that about" Ciaran says

"What me and father discussed is of no concern to you brother, how about you go ask him yourself'

'You know you've grown really bold lately Caspian, have you forgotten your place? I knew it was foolish of my father to treat you so well. It has you thinking we're of the same status.'

"Have i forgotten my place HA, how could i ever forget that when you are so sure to nag me all day about it. What're you gonna do to show me my place? Heaven knows that father wouldn't let it go if you touched me, so piss off."

"Arrogant fool, see how long that lasts you, you know I'm first in line for succession so I'd watch it if i were you."

"Does that matter to me, I'll be leaving anyway, couldn't care less about you or that stupid throne. You can have it."

"Don't tell me, Father actually did it this time. Let me tell you it was a long time coming. I don't see how we let you last this long anyway. You should've been cast out eons ago."

"Well don't worry about it now won't be here much longer'

"Well good luck…brother" Cairan says laughing

"Don't call me that, it's creepy."

Caspians continues to head to his room he knows he has to fully prepare to depart. He's never been outside the kingdom walls so no telling what he'll find, but one thing is certain and that is his destination. He must see the ocean and all its beauty he's heard so much about.

While he does that Cairan goes to talk with their father.

"Father i must have a word if you don't mind"

"Come in Cairan, what is it"

"Father, we all know that your time is running thin, and you will be greatly missed."

"Get to the point I'm sure that's not why you came to see me"

"Well the thing is you're a person of great strength, you've conquered many lands as the gods have blessed many of your relics. Don't you think it's time to start to pass those on."

"I'll get to it in due time son, you shouldn't be so focused on mere tools. Those who become too reliant on relics become lax in their training, and most of my relics would consume too much energy for your core to handle. You have a lot of room to grow, son."

"It seems i came to you with a needless concern, I'll take my leave father.

Relics are tools blessed by the gods, they hold great power and have different utilities but they are bound to their users. If they're not passed off then they are lost. They Consume a great deal of energy so unless your inner core is quite saturated its quite the hassle to even attempt to wield one.

There are two ways to saturate your core, one is to gather it through nature and breathing techniques but a more common one is to take the core out of an enemy and absorb it. It's not seen as evil as war is common and nothing wrong with taking your spoils from victory.

In the next moment Caspian is in his room looking at a map. Their kingdom is called Nemorosa, it's an enchanted forest in the middle of the desert filled with mythical beasts. He has to plan his journey and make sure to include enough stops to make it all the way west.

"Young Lord your father wishes to see you again" Tarak says

"I'll head there now"

Caspian once again at his fathers door wondering what he could possibly have to say this time.

"Father, you summoned me again?" He says puzzled

"Son, come in."

"What is it"

"Have you planned your journey yet? It'll be quite a long one so you should plan some stops."

"I have a father, I plan on having my final destination be Pearlspire, the coastal region where they're buildings have the beauty of pearls. I plan on maybe 3-4 stops but the first is for sure Vivan.

"Oh Vivan, that'll make a nice first spot to visit. I'm sure you'll get stronger there."

"What do you mean father."

"You'll know what I mean when you arrive. Until then I have something I want to give you. This is one of my relics."

"It looks like a liquid metal father."

"That's sort of what it is, I can't be too sure on where it came from but it's hard to find something more durable. If you put your energy into it you can manipulate the way it flows. I want you to try and make a form with it.

"I'll try"

Caspian uses his energy to feel the flow of the molten metal.

"I can feel the way it flows almost as if it were a part of me. Here ill form it into a sword."

"Good job on a sword is great for our family, but I want you to think about the natural form of the medal. It felt almost natural to you I'm sure, think of a weapon that you can feel naturally what you can rely on. Close your eyes and feel and not see it.

Caspian Closes his eyes and focuses to feel what's natural to him. What feels right to him. He can feel the medal flowing and he can control the direction but it's too fluid, he needs to concentrate it into something more solid.

"Open your eyes son"

Caspian opens his eyes to chains floating around him, he can freely control them up to a certain distance around him.

"This is what best suits you son, a weapon that can flow and move alongside with your agility, I'm sure you'll find other ways to improve and change the style. Congratulations son, that's your first relic."

"Thank you father ill be sure to remember this"

"I want you to set out after a month, train with your new weapon, create your own arts and prepare yourself for Vivan."

"I'll do as you say father I'll take my leave now"

With that, Caspian leaves his face full of excitement on his way to the training grounds.

"What made you all happy?" Cairan says with a grin.

Caspian ignores him and just keeps walking.

"Whatever that bastard will be gone soon anyway."

In the training grounds Caspian practiced with his weapon, countless spars countless losses but even more victories.

"Young Lord, I've never seen anyone improve at such a rate before. A pure combat genius i'm sure your father is proud" Tarak says with pride

"I only grew this much in the month because you were my sparring partner. Thank you so much for the help"

"It's my pleasure young lord, we have to prepare you for your journey"

"Yes it's finally time huh, i'll have to make sure my preparations are done. So until I return this is goodbye Tarak."

"Like the Young Lord we'll wait on your return. You should see your father off before you go"

"Will do thanks again"

Caspian heads to his fathers room.

"Father, I won't come in today, I think it's best for me to leave without seeing you. Knowing that this will be our last meeting ever."

"Son remember ill always be with you im sure news of my passing will reach you somehow don't be too down about it. Remember I'm sending you off with love that you make it and return home someday, Good luck my son."

"Much love father, I will remember your teachings for as long as I live. Goodbye"

As Caspian is leaving he runs into Cairan.

"So todays the day huh"

"Save the insults Cairan, I've just seen father off and I'm leaving, really not in the mood."

"Oh brother, why would I insult you? I just want to see my baby brother off, now obviously i hope you won't return but don't die little brother."

"Whatever you bastard, I'm leaving."

With that Caspian is on his way out of the kingdom and heading towards Vivan.
