Chapter 2 - World Dungeons

Year 33033, Grand Orca Calendar.

Guava City, Earth State.

Today, a vast sea of people gathered on an open field, their hearts pounding with anticipation.

Above them, the sky thick with layers of storm-born clouds, their bellies swollen with unshed rain. The blazing sun, once sovereign of the Sky, was now hidden behind a veil of gray, casting a pall of shadow over the assembly of thousands.

Before them loomed a towering dungeon, its atmosphere dark and forbidding.

It wasn't a marvel of human hands, nor a creation meant to entertain. It rose raw from the womb of the Orca, its jagged edges and twisted spires humming with a silent, ancient energy. Green and brown Vines clung to its surface like veins, and its darkened mouth opened with a hunger that had waited centuries.

Today marked the day a new batch of the young generation would dive into the World Dungeon to scavenge for magical treasures and other Supernatural resources.

Boys and girls from various academies, aged 16 to 18, stood before the dungeon with nervous expressions.

But not all were afraid, some were excited even. Because they were the chosen ones who qualified for this rare opportunity.

That's right, now it was seen as an opportunity. Decade of slavery and acceptance of the new order had become deeply rooted in their bones.

With this normalcy, they forget their sense of freedom and aspirations.

Now, they felt pride in fulfilling the Skadis' commands. To them, it was an honor to serve and present their findings in exchange for measly rewards.

The dungeon was strictly guarded by two stationed sentinels from Skadi Imperial Command.

They were humans with superpowers, working dutifully to prevent any unauthorized participants from entering.

Their figures stood tall and proud, radiating a strong, undeniable presence, powerful swords held firmly in hand.

"Damn! How long do we have to wait?" grumbled one of the young men among the participants.

"Yeah, I'm getting cramps just from standing here," another muttered, shifting uncomfortably.

"Hmph… you weaklings. Just be patient. The Overseer will be here any moment to start the Dive," added a bulky young man with a scoff.

"But hey, look at those jealous gazes from the crowd," smirked a young woman in a navy-blue dress. "They must be dying of envy inside."

"Haha, you're right," added a skinny young man with a sneer. "We're going to be rich and powerful, while they'll stay ordinary and mediocre their whole lives."

"Ooh, I can see some of my classmates out there… Ahh, they look so pitiful, so pitiful " another girl laughed mockingly.

Just then, several more figures entered the participants' area under the respectful bow of guards.

They were two young men and two young women.

"Guys, look! The four Heirs and Heiresses are here," one young woman announced excitedly, raising her hand.

Hearing the news, everyone's attention turned to the approaching figures.

All four were strikingly handsome and beautiful, dressed in finely woven, luxurious outfits that accentuated their presence. They carried themselves with refined elegance and the confidence of true nobility.

They were direct descendants and Heirs of the Four Noble House Representatives of Earth State.

The Four House Representatives, just as the title suggests, served directly under the Skadis, obeying every command without hesitation.

In return, they had gained immense wealth, power, and influence.

With a single gesture, they could turn the whole state upside down. That was how much authority they held.

They had powerful armies

They fought wars, enforced laws, and punished anyone who dared to rebel against the established order.

As such, no one dared to get on their bad side. Everyone showed them a mix of respect… and fear.

"Amazing! Look how handsome and beautiful they are," someone whispered in awe. "Just like princes and princesses."

The participants and the gathered crowd whispered among themselves, their faces a mix of admiration, fear, and awe.

Amid the murmurs, the two noble-born young men stood apart, sneering with quiet disdain.

They had no interest in the crowd. Their unruly eyes were fixed solely on the two young women who accompanied them, each radiating a commanding presence, like queens among peasants.

The first was a vision of cold, untouchable beauty. Tall and slender, she had porcelain-white skin that glowed under the sun, and waist-length icy-blue hair that shimmered like frozen silk.

Her face was a masterpiece of sharp, diamond-like features with high cheekbones, a sculpted jawline, and lips tinted a soft, natural pink.

Her hourglass figure was accentuated by a flowing silver-blue outfit that hugged her curves just enough to stir desire, yet carried the regal distance of someone not to be approached lightly.

Her every movement exuded grace, silence, and the chill of a glacier—beautiful, but dangerous to touch.

In sharp opposite stood the other on was an inferno of raw allure.

With short, tousled black hair and enchanting crimson eyes that seemed to burn through reality, she had a fierce, untamed presence. Her fair, velvety skin caught the light with every subtle shift.

She wore a tight, sleek black dress that outlined her bold figure: firm legs, a toned waist, and generous curves that could weaken the resolve of any man.

Her bust stretched the fabric just enough to draw eyes, and her confident posture dared them to keep looking.

She was not just sexy, she was power wrapped in temptation.

Yet despite the intensity of their beauty, no one in the crowd dared to stare directly at them.

No one... except the two young men.

Their gazes lingered with open lust, their sense of entitlement giving them the boldness to look where others wouldn't.

But the two women didn't spare them a single glance, not even once since they had arrived.

Their indifference was sharper than any blade.

But it seemed the two young masters had skin as thick as armor.

"Daisy, you two haven't yet told us how should we meet inside?" Lucius asked with a smug grin, brushing a hand through his styled hair.

Aluna didn't even bother to respond.

However the black-haired one, Daisy snorted, clearly unimpressed.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Lucius? We're not interested in meeting you two idiots in there. So just shut hell up. Otherwise I will kick your balls."

She barked the words with open irritation, unafraid and unfiltered.

Lucius, after hearing her vulgar words, wasn't offended at the slightest. He seemed more fond of her scolding.

The taller man beside Adrian, chuckled and spoke with a faux-concerned grin.

"Little Daisy, if we don't meet you in there, how will two beautiful flowers like you survive in such a dangerous world?"

His words were light, but his gaze locked onto Aluna with intensity. There was something unnerving in his eyes, like a glint of madness, a fanatical obsession that betrayed just how deeply he was drawn to her.

"Piss off!"

Daisy snapped, turning her back on them with an annoyed huff. Her chest bounced slightly with the movement, unintentionally drawing a few stolen glances.

Lucius opened his mouth to reply, hoping to provoke her further—

But before he could, a sudden shout echoed across the field.

"The Overseer is here!"
