The warm rays of the morning sun peeked through the windows of their quarters, casting a gentle glow on Crinix and Takahishi's peaceful faces. They were still fast asleep, exhausted from the previous day's events.
Suddenly, a knock on the door shattered the tranquility. Shinro's voice called out, " Hey fools, Wake up!"
But the two sleepers remained oblivious, lost in their dreams. Shinro's patience wore thin, and he muttered under his breath, "That does it!"
With a flick of his wrist, a small water ball formed on his hand, and he splashed the sleepers with a refreshing burst of water. Crinix and Takahishi instantly woke up, disoriented and groggy.
Takahishi rubbed his eyes, grumbling, "What the hell, Shinro?!"
Shinro stood tall, his expression stern. "Fools, wake up! I brought you clothes. Get dressed!"
He tossed them each a set of black leather pants, a black t-shirt, and a black leather jacket. "Meet me outside in five minutes," he ordered, before turning to leave.
Crinix and Takahishi exchanged a sleepy glance, before scrambling to get dressed. They stumbled out of their quarters, still half-asleep, and met Shinro outside.
As they walked, Takahishi complained, "This jacket is too tight!"
Shinro's response was curt. "Stop whining, fool! Let's get going!"
Crinix asked, "Where are we going?"
Shinro replied, "I'm taking you to your class for your first training lesson. Once we get there, you'll start your training."
Takahishi's eyes widened in alarm. "Wait, what?! You didn't tell me I had to take classes!" he cried "I thought you were supposed to train us"
"While I can provide some guidance, your formal training will primarily take place at Hunter Academy," Shinro said.
"Man to be honest l don't like the idea of going to school" Takahishi exclaimed his eyes narrowed on the road "where is this Hunter Academy anyway"
Shinro's altitude was palpable. "Just shut up, you'll see when we get there. Besides, we're almost there."
As they approached a tall, imposing building, Crinix and Takahishi exchanged a nervous glance. A sign above the entrance read "Grim Hunter Academy."
Shinro led them inside, navigating through a maze of corridors and rooms. They finally stopped in front of a black door, adorned with intricate silver markings.
Shinro knocked on the door, and a voice from inside beckoned them to enter. As they stepped inside, Shinro announced, "This is where I leave you. Your first lesson begins here. Have fun!"
With that, he turned and exited the room, leaving Crinix and Takahishi to face their new classmates alone.
The room was filled with students, all of whom seemed to be staring at the newcomers. Takahishi, never one for academic environments, felt his anxiety spike. He whispered to Crinix, "Man, I don't like this. I'm not exactly the school type."
Crinix shot him a reassuring glance. "Hey, we'll be fine. We just need to learn and adapt."
A voice from the front of the room interrupted their whispered conversation. "So, you must be the new students."
Crinix and Takahishi turned to face their speaker, a man with a black bandana tied around his head, scars above his lip and under his eye, and wearing black long-sleeved shirt and black leather pants.
"Are you Crinix Crimson and Takahishi Himura ?" he asked, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Crinix and Takahishi nodded in unison, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation.
The man smiled, his scars twisting into a menacing grin. "Okay then. Now, you two sit down so that we can begin the lesson."
As they took their seats at the back of the room, the other students continued to stare, their faces a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.
Their teacher, Hiruki Kurosawa, introduced himself, his voice booming across the room. "Today, we have new students, everyone. Please welcome Crinix and Takahishi!"
The room erupted into a chorus of "WELCOME CRINIX AND TAKAHISHI!" but Takahishi just sank lower in his seat, his face burning with embarrassment.
Hiruki Kurosawa's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Any questions?"
The room fell silent, with only the sound of rustling papers breaking the stillness.
Hiruki Kurosawa smiled, his scars glinting in the light. "Okay then, let's begin our lesson."
Hiruki Kurosawa's voice filled the room, "Today's lesson is about—"
But before he could finish, the door creaked open, and a young man sauntered in. His tall, spiky blue hair and wide, piercing blue eyes made him stand out. Both his hands were stuck deep inside his pockets, and a scowl marred his face.
Niski Narukami, the young man, didn't even acknowledge Hiruki's presence. Instead, he scanned the room, his gaze lingering on Crinix and Takahishi before narrowing into a glare.
Hiruki's expression turned stern. "Niski, you're late!"
Niski shrugged, his voice laced with disdain. "So what?"
Hiruki sighed, his patience wearing thin. "Just go and sit down, Niski, so we can begin today's lesson."
Niski strode towards the back of the room, his eyes fixed on Crinix and Takahishi. "That's my seat!" he growled, his voice rough and menacing.
Takahishi's eyes widened in alarm as he stared up at Niski. "W-we don't want any trouble, man. We're new here," he stammered, his voice trembling.
Niski sneered, his face twisted in contempt. "I don't care whether you're new or not. Just get out of my seat and find another place to sit, or else you're gonna get trouble."
Takahishi's face paled, and he glanced at Crinix, who seemed oblivious to the tension. "Hey Crinix, we should go, man. Or else things are gonna end up bad," Takahishi whispered, his eyes darting towards Niski.
But Crinix remained calm, his voice steady. "Takahishi, sit down. We're not going anywhere. Don't tell me you're scared of this clown."
Takahishi hesitated, then slowly sat back down, his eyes fixed on Niski.
Niski's face turned red with rage. "Who the heck are you calling a clown?! Don't you know who I am? I'm Niski Narukami, no one messes with me ! So get the hell out of my seat before I beat the crap out of you!"
The classroom fell silent, with all eyes on the confrontation. Crinix remained unfazed, a small smile playing on his lips. "I don't care who you are, because to me, you're just a clown. So just find another place to sit, clown."
The classroom erupted into laughter, and even Hiruki couldn't help but crack a smile. Niski's face turned beet red with anger, but Hiruki intervened before things escalated further. "Niski, just find another place to sit."
Niski's scowl deepened, but he eventually stormed off to sit at the front desk, his eyes blazing with resentment. The classroom slowly returned to normal, but Takahishi couldn't shake off the feeling that they had just made a powerful enemy.
