"So Tengen's off again? I'm so bored." Anko groaned, glancing at the boy beside her. "Jurin, aren't you bored?"
Jurin gave her a cool look. "You could use this time to refine your chakra."
"Orochimaru-sensei, any idea what Tengen's up to?" Anko asked.
"Nothing much. Probably personal matters." Orochimaru offered a mild smile.
Tengen wove through the forest, his departure from the group deliberate.
He'd detected an ordinary video signal not far from their camp, prompting a solo trip to see what it held.
From experience, higher-quality video fragments often meant greater danger. It wasn't foolproof, but it held true often enough.
For something like an HD signal, he'd drag Orochimaru along.
With Orochimaru's strength, tough opponents would be less daunting.
If Orochimaru knew Tengen's plan, to use him as muscle, he might dissect Tengen as a lab specimen.
Tengen wasn't scheming against Orochimaru, but he was certainly leveraging him.
Moments later, Tengen squinted at a nearby hilltop. "This is it. Looks like a bandit hideout, and the signal's inside."
With a flicker, he became a shadow, darting up the hill.
At the summit, he confirmed it was a bandit stronghold. Ignoring the thugs, he headed for a lavish wooden hall, likely their meeting place.
"Here we are." Tengen eyeing the structure. It was crude but stood out compared to the surrounding shacks.
Slipping inside, he positioned himself and began downloading the ordinary signal. It finished in seconds.
"Let's see what we've got." Tengen opens the system to check the video.
"Jurassic World." He muttered, pausing. "What's good in this world? Just dinosaurs, right?"
He speculated. Jurassic World had little fantastical loot. Bad luck might yield food or drinks; good luck, maybe a dinosaur. It was only an ordinary video, after all.
As he prepared to extract, a dozen rough-looking men barged into the hall, laughing.
They planned to raid a nearby town tomorrow.
These bandits thrived here, far from Konoha, on the Land of Fire's fringes. Their restraint from extreme crimes had kept them under the radar.
Spotting Tengen, their faces darkened. "Who are you? Why're you here?"
"Wait, that's a ninja headband!" one shouted.
"We've been found out!" The scar-faced leader drew a massive blade, snarling.
"A ninja's power is beyond your comprehension." Tengen said calmly, initiating the Jurassic World extraction.
[Ding! Obtained one robust Tyrannosaurus Rex.]
A flash of light erupted, and a colossal T-Rex roared into existence, shattering the wooden hall.
The beast towered over ten meters, its savage head bellowing, sharp teeth gleaming. Its leathery skin suggested formidable defense.
"ROOOOOOOOOOAR!"
The T-Rex howled but didn't move.
Tengen knew he controlled it. Without his command, it stood idle.
"Is this… a ninja's power?" The bandits froze, terror-stricken. A creature this massive was beyond their experience.
Its presence crushed their confidence.
"Run!" One of the bandits screamed.
The others snapped out of their daze, realizing they couldn't fight this. Nearby lackeys were equally petrified.
"Kill them." Tengen ordered.
These bandits had blood on their hands. Tengen felt no qualms about their deaths.
A ninja's life was steeped in killing.
The T-Rex rampaged, flattening houses. Some bandits were crushed underfoot; others torn apart.
"Looks impressive, but it's only good against civilians. Against ninjas, it's useless." Tengen shook his head. The T-Rex was no match for a summoning beast of the Naruto world.
On a nearby peak, a pale-faced ninja observed the chaos.
"A summoning beast? Intriguing." He smirking. "So this is why you came here, Tengen, to slay 'criminals'? That's disappointing."
Moonlight revealed his face, Orochimaru.
"Still, this makes you easier to control." Orochimaru mused, his figure dissolving into white mist.
A Shadow Clone.
"Orochimaru-sensei, huh?" Tengen's eyes turned blood-red, two tomoe spinning in his Sharingan.
Unbeknownst to Orochimaru, Tengen had detected him.
Half an hour later, Orochimaru stared at Tengen and what stood behind him in utter disbelief.
