(Shizuku's POV a few minutes prior)
'Just go inside, and don't interact simple as that act cold, and distant they'll be like everyone else it won't be a problem.' Upon opening the door Shizuku could tell at a glance this girl wasn't like everyone else. 'it's as if my brother with twice the amount of pain is sitting in front of me how dose such a kind girl shoulder that burden? She might hide it extremely well but those kind eyes looked like my brother's for just a brief second no that's not right to compare the two. My brother is kind, and this-' Shizuku's internal monolog is interrupted by the girl speaking. "Hello my name is Alexandria Avalon the people close to me call me Alex it's a pleasure to meet you?"
Shizuku is temporarily dazed by this facade it was flawless not a single move wasn't not calculated she had way more walls then Shizuku herself had, and at that moment her own walls were instantly broken by the girl sje herself saw as a kindred spirit so she reciprocated the smile with one of her own. "My name is Shizuku Kurogane a pleasure to meet you Alex." The shock she saw on Alex's face was swiftly masked but to Shizuku's trained eyes she saw it longing.

Alex was conflicted, and confused as she finally noticed it just as Shizuku did during their introductions. Even though her childhood in this world wasn't bad nor the other one it just felt as if her regrets no matter how small they were. As if it were Artoria's it felt hard to describe, and only a guess. 'I think the feelings I have towards my burdens, and regrets are being amplified to match the same amount of regret Artoria had like in my old life I remember stealing which isn't accurate but off topic. I remember myself clear as day taking one more candy bar on Halloween then I was supposed to, and I feel such raw amounts of regret as if I committed murder. I don't get it all all what's happened to me!'
As that internal strife was beginning her outside mask was happily talking to Shizuku as if they were sister tied by all but blood. This kind of instantaneous bond eases the currently paranoid Alex until Shizuku asks a more deep question out of the blue. "Why do I see sadness in your eyes? Your smile is fake why?" Gaining a somber smile Alex looks directly into Shizuku's eyes before saying three words.
"I honestly need to think that through myself. I mean like how to verbalize it in an understandable way unfortunately those words are currently not in my vernacular so please forgive me on this front but I will say it has to do with. It has to do with Regrets I well regret, and Burdens I carry that do weigh in on my resolve sometimes. But I won't give in I've made it to far to just drop everything now instead I'll persevere I will reach my goal of the Seven Stars Sword arts festival! And nothing will stop me from fighting in the finals."
Shizuku is for her part slackjawed at her new friend's resolve shouldering such pain to only push past it to reach her goal it was the most admirable quality Alex had in her eyes besides the genuine kindness she had seen but as it had happened before Alex once again yawned. "Alright I guess it's time for us to get some sleep because I'm beat." Shizuku nodded at that sentiment as she herself yawned. "Alright we can talk more tomorrow goodnight Alex." With that Shizuku heads to bed leaving Alexandria all by herself as she sits at the table staring out the window at the starry night sky smiling softly as she looks up at the moon.
