Before going to dinner, Ryo chose to shut down Paradox Physique for the time being. He had to acclimate himself to it first before employing it in an actual fight.
After eating dinner, he considered verifying his skills in a safe location. He headed towards a remote training ground close to the outer walls of the academy.
He breathed in deeply and switched on Paradox Physique. He felt his body very light, as if he could do anything. He tested it by jumping towards the top of the wall.
The instant he jumped, he knew he had been underestimating his own strength. He felt himself flying in the air, his heart racing. 'I am going to die from this fall!' he frantically thought. But when he hit the ground, he hardly felt anything. It was as if the shock had been completely absorbed.
Then, he faced a tall tree before him. Fisting his hand, he landed a carefree punch.
BOOM!
The tree broke into splinters.
Ryo's eyes widened in shock. 'This power… it's too much!'
Panicked, he hurried back to his dorm before anyone saw him. As soon as he was in, he immediately shut off Paradox Physique.
'It'll take time to control this,' he thought. 'I should only use it when absolutely necessary.'
With that, he lay down on his bed, tired, and fell asleep.
