"How the hell? …Yeah." Andrew fessed up. He was a bit too thrown for a loop to manage to bullshit this guy. Besides, he figured that he'd see right through him. Just then, Andrew heard Ashley's voice from behind him, speaking to a man. Turning, he saw Ashley walking with a band of colorful misfits. He presumed the one with a beard and a pirate get up was Killian, based on Megafin's descriptions. Ashley, meanwhile, was wearing her usual clothing.
"Well well...some more sacrifices!" A girl with orange pigtails said. She had with most of her torso exposed, only wearing a pink bra attached to black sleeves that cover her arms, as well as long black pants with a pink belt adorned with a yellow star, as Kronos tried to yank her whip away. "Just who are these people?!"
"You're of the Six Knights of Black. Galla the Circus Mistress, right?" Megafin asked.
"So what if I am? Who are you people?" Galla demanded.
"That is not something you should concern yourself with." Calamity said.
"I no longer sense Dahaaka's energy. He is likely dead." A lion-like demon known as Derocchio said.
"Idiot. I'm no lesser demon. I am one of the Six Knights of Black, like you!" the green headless demon, Dahaaka, said, as he turned to see the Shadow Hunters. "You lot are.. Different. I've never seen creatures like you 3,000 years ago."
"I thought they might be weak, seems there are a lot of them. I'll take the ones with stronger magic power, should we ever come to blows." A pale skinned demon known as Bellion said.
"What? You can't expect us to settle for the souls of peons!" An armored demon known as Pump snapped.
"It does not matter. All their souls will be sacrifices to bring it out." A half white, half red mass demon known as Atollah said.
"Heyyy Andyyy!" Ashley playfully intoned, earning her a scowl. She gave an upset pout before sticking her tongue at him.
"Oh wow, Maxie made a friend!" Killian remarked. Megafin rolled his eyes. This was Killian's idea, the irritating buffoon.
"Wow Ashley, talking to someone other than me? Who are you and what have you done with my sister?" Andrew mocked, causing Ashley to slap him on the back only just enough to actually hurt.
"Oh, this guy's your brother? Huh, I thought he'd be bigger." Killian got a scowl from both Andrew and Megafin.
"I'm sorry, my boyfriend's a manwhore." Megafin apologized to Andrew.
"Oh don't worry, I know how that is. This cunt has been pissing me off for twenty years." Andrew smirked to Megafin while indicating to Ashley.
"Hey! Fuck you too, asshole." Ashley sat down in Andrew's lap. Andrew began to flail but stopped himself, sighing and putting up with it. He somehow doubted these two would give a shit, and it wasn't like having Ashley's ass in his lap was a bad thing. Ashley turned to Andrew and grabbed his head on either side with both hands, aggressively kissing him, forcing her tongue into his startled mouth. After a few seconds, Ashley tasted the whiskey and broke the kiss.
"Ugh! Couldn't you make your mouth at least a bit appetizing? Fucking whiskey." Ashley complained, irritated with him.
"Aww, Leyley, don't like it?" Kronos teased, giggling.
"You bitch all the time about my whiskey mouth." Asuka remarked. Kronos shot her a death glare.
"Well, it is still Andrew, so whatever." Ashley rolled her eyes. Andrew wondered how much they had shared before coming over here.
"Cute brother you got there, though." Kronos answered that for Andrew. He tilted his head and put a finger to his chin. "Would make a better sister, though." Andrew sighed, turning and grabbing a shot, downing it. "Come on Ash, just inject it in his sleep or something!"
"I swear to whatever the fuck that thing's name is, Ashley. If you listen to him, I'm going to kill you." Andrew's glare kept moving back and forth from Kronos to Ashley. Ashley laughed.
"No way! I need that monster down there to keep working." Ashley and Kronos laughed, causing Andrew to blush harder.
"So, I guess you got the full rundown from Ashley?" Megafin asked. They certainly seemed to be on the same page.
"Serial killers, demon summoners, cannibals, they're both bi, and apparently sibling incest, I think that's everything, right?" Killian ran through the list. Megafin's head tilted at the demon summoning.
"Really now?" Megafin asked Andrew, who shrugged.
"Yeah. Well, just the one. Pays us in prophetic dreams." Andrew explained. He was surprised that Killian even believed it. Especially coming from Ashley. Megafin looked a little skeptical but seemed to accept it.
Then, Megafin saw that the other one they're looking for dancing alone, strumming power chords on her electric guitar and belting out a scintillating melody. Into a microphone, she yelled words about rebellion, about self-expression, about violence and villainy.
And after she'd played the outro riff, she was met with a standing ovation. She gave a start; hadn't she been all alone? But Ember McLain never was one to turn down applause, and so she let its warmth fill her, the flame of her hair growing brighter and taller.
"Thank you, thank you!" Ember said into the microphone. "But we all know I deserve it." She then gave a glance down to see who exactly was applauding her.
The Shadow Hunters, who she'd never seen before, as Calamity grinned and applauded like crazy.
"Bloody hell, that sounds amazing. Hey, Maxie?" Killian turned back to his boyfriend, looking excited while grabbing one of Andrew's shots and downing it. He didn't bother to protest.
"Yeah?" Megafin replied.
"Wanna take these three with us and let the siblings use that hitchhiker we picked up? I'm really curious about this whole demon summoning business." Killian did look excited. Megafin perked up a little bit at that. Ashley turned to Andrew, already giving him the puppy dog eyes.
"I'm down if they are." Megafin said.
"That was WONDERFUL, my dear!" Kronos leapt up onstage. "Kain Onos' the name and I've got the gig of a lifetime for you."
"A gig?" Ember's eyes lit up. "You want me to play for an audience?" Then she flinched. "This isn't some kind of trap, is it?"
