Chapter 4 - 4

Aoi clutched the dental pick, her eyes locked on Sato.

The waiting room air grew heavy, the pulsing tiles vibrating against her eardrums. Sato's smile held steady, the drill's tip glinting white under the fluorescent light.

Aoi moved to step forward, but the sofa cushions swelled beneath her, ensnaring her ankle. Red, vein-like cords slithered from the seams, coiling up to her knees. She swung the pick down, but the cords snapped back like rubber, twisting around her wrist instead.

"Resistance is pointless, Aoi. Just let it happen."

Sato's voice was honeyed, soothing as if calming a nervous patient. He set the drill aside, picking up the control for the dental chair. It hummed to life, gliding across the waiting room floor toward her.

Aoi thrashed against the cords, but they bit into her skin, tiny teeth drawing blood that soaked into the sofa. The chair loomed behind her, its armrests slithering like serpents, clamping around her waist. She screamed, but the sound was swallowed by the walls, no echo returning.

Forced onto the chair, Aoi sank into its leather surface. The armrests pinned her arms, the sofa's veins tightening around her ankles. Her white coat tore, exposing her shoulders and chest. Cold air stung her skin, her breaths shallowing.

Sato stood beside the chair, peering down at her. His fingers grazed her jaw, tracing her lips. His touch was a mix of disinfectant and warm, viscous slime.

Her tongue throbbed, its teeth stirring again.

"Beautiful, Aoi. Your mouth is a masterpiece."

Sato lifted a dental mirror, sliding it into her mouth. The cold metal grazed her teeth, prodding the alien growth on her tongue.

A sob broke from her throat. The mirror revealed not just the teeth sprouting from her tongue—her gums were swollen, something writhing beneath. Sato's eyes narrowed, a satisfied smirk curling his lips.

He withdrew the mirror, grabbing the drill. Its spinning tip scattered the fluorescent light.

Aoi strained against the restraints, but the veins pierced her skin, blood seeping into the leather. Sato brought the drill to her mouth, grazing her swollen gums. A searing pain pierced her consciousness, her vision flashing white. The drill's whine rattled her eardrums, the sensation of flesh being carved echoing through her tongue. Blood and saliva spilled from her mouth, pooling in the chair's crevices.

Yet, amid the pain, her body reacted strangely. Her skin flushed with heat, the writhing in her gums shifting to a pulsing, almost pleasurable throb. The teeth on her tongue danced to the drill's vibrations.

Sato's fingers trailed her neck, tracing her pulsing veins. His eyes gleamed, studying her transformation. Aoi's mind teetered between agony and ecstasy, her body merging with the chair. The leather melted into her skin, the veins linking with her own. Her heartbeat synced with the clinic's pulse.

"Feels good, doesn't it? I'll make it even better."

Sato's whisper brushed her ear. He stopped the drill, reaching for a syringe. Clear liquid gleamed at the needle's tip. As Aoi's vision blurred, he plunged the needle into her neck. The liquid flooded her veins, dissolving her consciousness.

Her fading sight caught the clinic's walls. Tiles peeled away, exposing teeth and flesh. The walls closed in, brushing her skin. Teeth sank into her shoulder, flesh entwining her back. Her body fused with the clinic, becoming part of its maw.

As her consciousness dimmed, her tongue mounted a final rebellion. Its teeth clamped onto Sato's finger, drawing blood. He laughed, pulling free.

Aoi's vision darkened, her body sinking into the chair. The clinic's pulse swallowed her heartbeat. Her mind drowned in a sea of teeth and flesh, consumed by the clinic's will.

Yet, deep within, the teeth on her tongue faintly stirred.
