High School DxD: Frost King of Domination

Chapter 1: Frozen Stars, Awakened King

---

The world was dying.

And so was he.

Under the bleeding twilight sky, Kai stumbled through the crumbling city streets, his breath leaving white mist trails in the cold evening air.

His white hair, stained with dirt and blood, fluttered in the dying wind.

His golden eyes — once bright with hope — now reflected only the ruins of a world that had rejected him.

The ground beneath his bare feet was cracked and frozen, a mirror of the life he had led — fragile, fractured, and forgotten.

They had abandoned him.

Feared him.

Called him a monster because of his beauty, his unnatural aura, his existence.

He was born different, and so he was cast aside.

Humans feared what they did not understand.

And now, as the monsters they created tore apart their cities, no one came to save him.

No one ever did.

---

A sharp breath rattled his broken ribs as he collapsed against a shattered wall, the cold seeping into his bones.

Above, the clouds swirled, dark and angry — a mirror of the rage in his fading heart.

"If there's a god..." he thought, bitter and tired, "...then he's a cruel one."

He closed his eyes, the sound of chaos growing distant.

The end was near.

His soul, so fragile, so weary, began to slip away.

"Maybe... if I had been stronger..."

"Maybe... if I had someone..."

The final thought whispered across his mind like snow falling on a tombstone:

> "In the next life... I will be loved... or I will make the world love me."

---

The moment his heart stopped beating, the world changed.

---

Kai floated.

Weightless.

Alone.

The darkness around him was endless, but it wasn't cruel.

It was cold — painfully, beautifully cold — like the embrace of winter itself.

Before him, in the void, a massive golden magic circle burned into existence, ancient and unknowable.

From the mist stepped a woman — no, an angel wrapped in crimson.

She was stunning: long flowing crimson hair, clear blue eyes filled with sorrow and determination.

A black dress clung to her curves, regal and somber.

> "I am Rias Gremory, heiress of the Gremory Clan," she spoke, voice soft but firm.

"You... you are dying. But I can give you another chance. Will you... become mine?"

Behind her, shadowy figures — a tall butler, a silver-haired girl, and others — waited anxiously.

Kai's consciousness, barely clinging to reality, trembled.

He could feel it — a choice.

To die, and fade into nothingness.

Or to live again — as something new, something powerful.

His hand, frail and ghostlike, reached out.

His voice, broken but burning with stubborn life, answered:

> "...Yes."

---

The moment the word left his lips, the magic circle erupted in light.

Eight crimson chess pieces — all Pawns — spiraled through the air, sinking into his body one after another, searing him with unimaginable pain.

And then — the ninth piece.

A piece unlike the others — dark as night, streaked with veins of gold.

A Mutation Pawn.

It slammed into his soul, and something inside him shattered.

Or perhaps... awakened.

---

The mist screamed.

His very existence burned.

Memories, powers, instincts he had never known flooded into him.

Visions of an ancient, endless winter.

Of an ice dragon, so vast and terrifying it blotted out the sun.

> "My name is Glaciera,"

A voice whispered into his mind — cold, feminine, regal.

"And you, my chosen King, shall bring winter to the gods themselves."

---

His body was reforged.

Muscles hardened.

Bones strengthened.

Skin gleamed like polished porcelain, flawless yet radiating a dangerous, otherworldly beauty.

His white hair lengthened, shining like new-fallen snow.

Golden eyes reopened, deeper and sharper, glowing faintly against the dimness.

The once-pitiful boy was gone.

In his place stood a being who even angels would mistake for a divine king.

---

The world blurred, and when Kai next opened his eyes, he was lying on a luxurious bed inside a grand room — chandeliers, velvet curtains, marble floors.

And there, sitting beside him, was Rias.

She stared at him with wide, breathless eyes — as if unable to believe what she was seeing.

As if he were the miracle she had been praying for.

> "Welcome back..." she whispered, her cheeks faintly pink.

Kai said nothing.

He simply stared up at the gilded ceiling, his mind oddly calm.

In his chest, the cold power pulsed steadily — not wild, but patient, ancient, inevitable.

A faint smile touched his lips.

> "This time..."

"The world will never abandon me again."

And somewhere, far away, beyond the veil of dimensions, the Dragon Gods stirred — sensing the birth of a new force.

Quick Next-Step Plan:

Chapter 2:

Kai meets Rias and the peerage properly.

Small glimpses of his aura intimidating everyone slightly, even without meaning to.

Kai gets shown around the Underworld.

Early hints of Incubus bloodline charisma effects.
