Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: A New Beginning Part Two

I am two years old now.

In short, this new world has been good. A little too good if I'm being honest. I still have a feeling this life won't be as easy as it seems, but that might just be because of my trauma.

Once I grew up, I started walking around my house, and have learnt quite a bit without reading any books. When I was one and a half, I was exploring my house and entered a new room.

It turned out to be my dad's office. The crazy thing was that the room looked like a president's office. The room was covered in a super fluffy grey carpet and had a large curved window that let in light.

When I entered that room, it seemed massive, but it was just a large room. I was just super short at the time, and still am. Besides it looking large, there was a big desk in the middle, which didn't have much, but there was one good thing in this room.

After ten minutes of looking, I only just saw the massive-ass world map on the wall. In all honesty, I don't know how it took me that long to find, but at least I found it.

The map was eerily similar to Earth's world map, just with minor differences. The main differences I saw were that Britain was connected to Europe and that the Americas weren't connected.

Whoever made this world must've just copied Earth. Ha, I know what happened, some God just said 'Hey, let me copy your homework, I won't make it obvious'. Idiot Gods, must've been Ester.

Okay, enough with the jokes. The map was really important, it showed five key nations, or empires, I'm still not sure. The nations I could see were called The French Empire, The Roman Dominion, The AsiaAfro Empire, The USOD (United States Of Demi-Humans), and The Republic of Britannia. Any other nations on there aren't of note, they seem tiny.

The French Empire, the nation I live in, seemed to be only the 3rd largest. The two largest seemed to be the USOD and the AsiaAfro Empire. Quick note: Who named these countries? They just sound like rip-offs of the Earth's countries.

I just realised what that map reminds me of. It gives the same vibes as those war games I played during high school, the only real breakaway from the bullying.

Anyway, do I need to know about these nations, like I'm two years old, I don't need to know about politics and country borders. I'm spending this life to my fullest, not bound to some corporate job.

I hope to just live a quiet and peaceful life, devoid of my past life. I won't be bullied again, and I won't do anything dumb…

Ah shit I just jinxed it right, I'm going to end up doing something dumb…

Okay, okay, I'll stop talking about my future, I'm going to end up jinxing it too badly. So, besides the map, nothing else has happened in the past 2 years. Like these past two years have been really uneventful, excluding the first few months…

Three years flew by in the blink of an eye, I'm five years old now.

These past few years have been eventful. I learnt how to read, which is by far my largest accomplishment in this world.

Now, being able to read, I can do so much more. Can't remember when, but when I learnt how to read, I went to my home's library and picked up the largest book I saw. Turns out it was a history book, and the history in this world is crazy.

The book didn't have much about the early years, but I focused on the first demon invasion. In all honesty, it's super vague; it talks about the Creator God, Zerith, creating this world and bestowing this world with magic to defeat the demons.

It says four people rose with this newfound power and started to push the demons back. After a fierce, long battle, the four came out victorious, slaying the devil. Once they did that, they were granted a reward from the Creator God.

The Creator God bestowed the four heroes with immortality, making them Gods. The four heroes, or Gods, are called: 'Aniya, the Goddess of Freedom', 'Santon, the God of Death', 'Ontino, the God of Order', and 'Kelina, the Goddess of Knowledge'.

The book says that if the world were ever to face a crisis again, the four heroes would once again descend upon Estoria, saving the world. Instead of answering my questions about this world, it left me with more questions.

My main question is, why wasn't Ester mentioned? Is this story a fake, or is Ester a fraud? I actually am not sure. Ester must be a God if he could reincarnate me, maybe he created the Creator God. No way. I have got to be giving that God too much credit, or am I?

There's definitely something I'm missing. If Ester isn't a God, then who is he? And if he is the true God, then did the demon invasion ever happen, or is that a fake story?

This world was way more simple at first when I just saw that map of the world, it just looked like a shit copy of Earth, but now, it has left me second-guessing myself constantly.

Also, that book didn't mention the system anywhere. Actually, I haven't seen anyone say 'menu' or anything of the like. Yes, I've seen people use magic but not the system. Just what do I have?

"Menu."

[System Menu Opened]

[Stats: Locked]

Still locked. I don't know why my stats and every function are locked. I've shown no signs of being able to use magic, and all I have is this system. I might end up working in some corporate job at this rate…

With no magic, I can't have an easy life in this new world. This means I can't get rich and have my perfect life…

"SCREW YOU ESTER!"
