Kaido's Final Plea
Kaido found Yuto alone after school.
His former best friend was sitting on a bench, his face blank as he stared at the ground.
Kaido clenched his fists. He had lost Yuto once—but he wasn't giving up.
"Yuto, we need to talk."
Yuto looked up, his expression cold. "I don't think there's anything to talk about."
Kaido exhaled sharply. "You don't understand what happened. She planned everything."
Yuto scoffed. "You mean when you hit her?"
Kaido gritted his teeth. "She provoked me, Yuto! She said horrible things about you—about how she would make you her puppet! I lost my temper, but she made sure you walked in at that exact moment!"
Yuto frowned but didn't respond.
Kaido sighed. "I know you won't believe me right now, but you have to open your eyes, Yuto. Reina is manipulating you."
The Ultimate Question
Yuto's grip tightened on his bag.
"Then answer me this."
Kaido blinked.
"Did you steal money from your family's safe?"
Silence.
Kaido's throat went dry.
Yuto's gaze hardened. "Yes or no?"
Kaido opened his mouth—then closed it.
He couldn't just say 'no' because technically, he did take the money.
But Reina had twisted the truth.
Seeing Kaido's hesitation, Yuto stood up.
"I knew it." His voice was filled with anger and hurt. "You lied to me, Kaido."
Kaido grabbed his shoulder. "It's not what you think!"
Yuto shoved him away. "You're just like Reina said. A liar."
Kaido's heart sank.
Yuto walked away.
Kaido could only watch as his best friend—his only real friend—disappeared into Reina's world.
And Reina?
She stood in the distance, smiling.
