As we walked, kael lead me through a winded path that took us deeper into the forest. The trees grew taller and closer together here, casting dappled shadows on the ground. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and soft chirping of birds.
After a while, we arrived at a clearing, and in the center of it stood kael's den. It was a beautiful structure made of natural materials, blending seamlessly into the surroundings. Kael gestured for me to enter, and I did, feeling a sense of wonder and curiosity.
Inside, the den was cozy and warm, with a fire burning in the center of the room. Kael sat down beside the fire, gesturing for me to join it. I did, feeling a sense of comfort and safety in kael's presence.
" So, Eira," kael said his eyes gleaming with curiosity. " Tell me more about the portal t GA t brought you here. What do you know about it?"
I hesitated, trying to remember the details. " I'm not sure," I said "I was in a place of great sorrow, and I felt a strange sensation, like a ripping or tearing. And then I was her."
Kael nodded thoughtfully. "i see," he said. " it sounds like you may have been brought here for a reason, Eira. A reason that only time will reveal."
As we sat there, kael asked me more questions about my life before the portal, and i found myself opening up to him in ways I never thought possible. I told him about my family, my friends, and my dreams. Kael listened intently, his eyes filled with kindness and understanding.
As the hours passed, I felt a deep connection forming between us. it was as if we had known each other for years, not just minutes.
But as the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the forest, kael's expression turned serious. "Eira, I must tell you something," he said. " something that may change everything."
" What is it?" I asked, feeling a sense of trepidation.
Kael's eyes locked onto mine, filled with a deep intensity. "You are not alone here, Eira," he said "There are those in this realm who would seek to harm you, to use you for their own purposes. But I will protect youfrom all threats,Eira. I swear it".
I felt a surge of gratitude towards kael, and a sense of wonder at the depths of his loyalty and dedication.
As kael's words hung in the air, I felt a shiver run down my spine. "What kind of threats?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper.
Kael's expression turned grave. "There are those in the realm who would seek to exploit your portal travelling abilities for their own gain. Dark magic users, power-hungry entities, and enemies of the realm might all see you as a means to achieve their goals".
I swallowed hard, trying to process the potential dangers. " what do they want from me?"
Kael's eyes locked onto mine again. " some might want to harness your powers to gain access to new realms or resources. Others might seek to use you as leverage against me or other powerful beings in the realm. And then there are those who would aim to disrupt the balance of power in the realm, using you as a pawn in their larger plans."
I felt a surge of fear, but kael's reassuring presence calmed me." you're protecting me because....?"
Kael's motivations were still unclear, but his actions spoke louder than words. " As a guardian of the realm, it's my duty to protect those who need it. And I sense that you're not just any ordinary traveler, Eira. You have a role to play in this world, and I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe".
I looked into kael's eyes, searching for answers. Was he driven by a sense of duty, or was there something more to his motivations?
I wasn't sure, but I knew I felt grateful for his protection.
