Chapter 10 - Why wasn’t she the one who died!

Suddenly pushed by Lin Jingya, Song Nanxi stepped back unsteadily, but still said stubbornly: "Mom, I didn't!"

"Don't call me mom, I don't have a daughter like you! If it weren't for you, your father wouldn't have died. If it weren't for you, the Song family wouldn't have become what it is now! Go away, I don't want to see you!" Lin Jingya shouted excitedly, every word was hysterical, and every word seemed to carry her pain and hatred.

"No, it's not like that!"

Song Nanxi felt a sharp pain in her heart. She wanted to step forward and grab Lin Jingya's hand, but she shook her hand away fiercely.

This is her mother, the mother who gave birth to her and raised her, but why does she hate her so much!

"You are such a jinx! Why did I give birth to you? Why don't you just die? What are you doing here? Why don't you just be a good wife to the CEO? Are you really going to force me and your brother to death before you'll be content?"

Lin Jingya pointed at her viciously, as if the person in front of her was not her daughter at all, but her enemy.

"Mom, I..."

Song Nanxi's eyes were red and she bit her lips tightly, but before she could finish her words, Lin Jingya's sharp voice interrupted her.

"I'm not your mother!"

After saying that, she slammed the door shut.

With a "bang", Song Nanxi was isolated from the Song family.

Why wasn't she the one who died?

Why wasn't she the one who died!

She also wanted to know why she made a mistake but an innocent person had to bear the consequences!

His frail body was already on the verge of collapse, and his already pale face was now even more bloodless.

"Why...why wasn't I the one who died..."

She murmured, and walked out unconsciously as if she had lost her soul.

"squeak--"

A sharp brake sound suddenly rang out. Song Nanxi looked up blankly, but before he could react, his eyes went dark and he fell to the ground.

The black Lamborghini was less than ten centimeters away from her.

Qiao Xixing walked out of the car quickly. When he saw Song Nanxi lying unconscious on the ground, a hint of surprise and deep thought flashed in his sparkling brown eyes.

"Nanxi?"

He patted her gently, and when she showed no reaction, he quickly picked her up and put her in the car.

It was late at night when a black Bentley stopped silently outside the villa's yard.

Lu Tingshen walked out of the cab, leaning against the car body tiredly, his handsome face still carrying the chill of the night. He lit a cigarette casually, and his deep eyes passed through the swirling smoke and fell on a half-open window on the second floor.

It was pitch black, just like he always saw it.

For seven years, he couldn't count how many times he had stood here for some unknown reason, but never went in. Just standing here, looking at the window quietly, imagining her sleeping appearance.

But now, there was an impulse in his heart driving him to go in.

And he did go in.

"Is the sir back?"

Mrs. He heard the noise and came out. When she saw Lu Tingshen's upright figure, she was stunned for a moment.

Lu Tingshen looked straight ahead, untied his tie, and walked toward the stairs. He asked in a low and cold voice, "Is Madam feeling better?"

"My wife...my wife hasn't come back yet."

Mrs. He's words made Lu Tingshen's steps suddenly freeze, and even his hands that were untying his tie stopped there.

"Madam hasn't come back in the past two days?"

The voice was as cold as ice chips, which made Mrs. He shudder suddenly. She nodded and said tremblingly, "Yes, yes. I haven't been back since I left the day before yesterday."
