"Don't die on me…you useless father, what were you trying to gain?"—a dark scream echoed throughout the ruined lab in the first universe.
There was no sign of life—everyone was killed in that explosion—their bodies turned into ashes which were blowing in the lab.
After a few minutes, the ashes settled down—at one place; right in the center of the lab, "Ugh!"—someone groaned, the voice was dark—same as the scream which echoed earlier but alive.
The ashes settled down to form a hand—which soon came to life, "Ugh!" the agony increased as the entire body was being constructed from nothing.
In a minute, he was here—Robert. "I survived!" he claimed.
Robert extended both his arms and saw them—they were made from the dark energy—the very source which ended him.
"What am I…some kind of energy?" Robert questioned himself.
"Of course not—you are just you but more alive than before." a voice answered—same dark voice whose existence was unaware to everyone but Robert.
"I am back aren't I?" Robert questioned.
"Will you let me control?" the dark voice asked Robert.
"Not now—it took a very long time to reach here, let me enjoy sometime here." Robert replied.
The dark voice didn't answered but laughed and faded out of the existence, "You are also stubborn aren't you Sarah?" Robert said.
Sarah was also commencing to come to life through the ashes—but her body was same—no body made up of dark energy.
"Who were you talking to?" Sarah questioned.
"Someone, who might end you," Robert replied.
"Robert, you are not a murderer." Sarah said—she couldn't walk or run because her legs weren't completely constructed.
"Sarah, you might be the only one." Robert said and in just a blink of an eye grabbed Sarah's throat.
"R-Robert, I-I can-can't br-breathe." Sarah said—her voice struggling.
"Do you know the looping mathematics?" Robert said—his voice now turned dark—as same as with the nothingness he was talking.
"I-I kn-know a l-little bit." Sarah replied—her voice low and tired.
"Great." Robert said and Sarah's eyes closed—she was not dead but she passed out as she didn't get much air.
Sarah's body fell to the ground and Robert turned—his eyes staring at the exploded shower, "Thomas, enjoy yourself while I arrange stuff for your death ceremony."
Meanwhile in the second universe, Thomas dropped to his knees unable to understand where he was—the grass sticked to his shoes.
"I need to find some answers." Thomas said and stood up; during the same time someone called for him.
"Why is the voice so familiar?" Thomas thought for a second and then turned back—his eyes turn wide in fear—he was watching himself standing in front of him—like watching your reflection in the mirror.
"W-What…Wh-Who are you?" Thomas questioned his doppelganger, before he could speak—major cracks formed in the ground—behind both the Thomasas reality broke—like a mirror—the sharp reality shards fell on the ground.
The broken reality was pulling each Thomas out of the existence but they both hold the cracked reality—they were scared to die.
"What is happening?" Thomas screamed, just then a knife came flying by and stabbed the other Thomas in the heart—he instantly died there and the reality restored itself.
"W-What just happened?" Thomas asked himself and started looking around him to find out who threw the knife.
The bushes made some noise—Thomas took out the knife from the stabbed Thomas lying on the ground, "Don't worry, I won't kill you." a man said—his voice was old and low but confident.
Thomas didn't throw the knife but immediately started questioning him, "Who are you and why did you kill him?"
The old man introduced himself, "My name is Harry, I am just like you—a mad scientist."
Thomas asked, "How do you know that I am a scientist?"
Harry replied, "Because it would take intelligence of few mad scientists to open a way to reach another universe."
Thomas froze there—unable to process what he just heard—another universe, he believed that the old man was trying to be funny with him.
"What? Kid you don't believe me; just check behind…the other kid's body disappeared." Harry furiously said.
Thomas looked back and his eyes couldn't believe it—the body and the blood all disappeared, "W-What…how is this possible?" Thomas questioned.
Harry replied, "When you saw yourself—you opened the gates between your and my universe, because both of you weren't aware of the multiverse rules—both universes initiated to collide with each other, the event I like to call—incursion."
Thomas remained confused—all the multiverse stuff and incursion wasn't making any sense to him, "I still don't believe you…but if whatever you told me is the truth then why you are aware of all of this?"
Harry smiled and replied, "Because I am smarter than you—I know that other universes are real, see yourself. You are an example that the multiverse exists—you just need to believe in it too and you will understand the rules."
Thomas dropped to his knees once again—he didn't time travel but travelled into other universe.
"What should we do now?" Thomas asked.
"You tell me…why are you here?" Harry asked.
"I was meant to travel back in time but the dark energy threw me out of my world." Thomas replied.
Harry furiously screamed, "You experimented with dark energy?"
Thomas nodded—"Are you even aware of the fact that how dangerous that element is?" Harry furiously added.
"I know that the element loops back in time but I don't understand how can it be dangerous?" Thomas angrily questioned him when he questioned his and his friends' discovery.
"That element mutates the body of any individual it touches—solid form has no problem, it starts with liquid state. In liquid it permanently changes the body—right down to your cells but if the dark energy turned into gas or shockwave—it would be disastrous, everyone would be affected by it—everyone." Harry claimed—his voice confident.
"Sarah, Robert" Thomas slowly said showing his concern.
"So what should I do now?" Thomas asked.
"Find and wait." Harry replied.
"Huh?"
"Find what your other self-used to do here and then wait—wait till you find something different about your body." Harry said.
