Chapter 1 - Death, Again

The sky above the capital city square was dyed red as if celebrating the bloodshed that was about to happen. Hundreds of pairs of eyes stared at the execution stage. They had come to witness the end of a princess from a destroyed kingdom.

Cecilia Magenta, the only princess of the Magenta Kingdom, knelt with her head bowed. Her plain white dress was stained with dirt, while blood splashed from the wounds on her body. No one knew what Cecilia was thinking at that moment. She was an honorable princess. But in one moment, she suddenly fell to the lowest position.

Cecilia would lose her life in the land she loved. No. That place was no longer her land. After her kingdom was attacked by two parties at once, it had nothing left but sad memories.

On Cecilia's left and right sides stood two men with swords, Cedric and Damian. Both were crown princes of two different kingdoms. There was nothing that could be compared between them except for the fact that they both liked the same person.

Fiona.

An ordinary girl who didn't even know how to differentiate between a kitchen knife and a royal dagger. Fiona didn't understand anything. But because of their love for her, Cecilia had to die. Again.

Cedric was the first to step forward to approach Cecilia. The man didn't even bother to hide his hatred. True. Cecilia had seen that expression of hatred so many times that she couldn't count them anymore.

"Cecilia Magenta. You pitted two kingdoms against each other for your benefit. Blood flowed endlessly because of that decision. Countless lives have been lost because of your decision. But today, here, we will settle everything once and for all."

Damian also raised his sword. Unlike Cedric, who gave a grand speech, Damian didn't say anything other than a simple sentence.

"Die for the peace of this place."

At first, Cecilia only smiled behind her messy hair that covered half of her face. But slowly, her smile became more visible. Cecilia's smile was so wide that it started to look scary.

Then she laughed. Softly, then burst out like a madman.

"The ninety-ninth," she muttered. "This is the ninety-ninth time, but I still can't find the answer."

Cecilia laughed again, a deafening laugh. The audience in the place began to shudder. Even Cedric and Damian stepped back a little because of Cecilia's crazy action.

"Ninety-nine times! I've watched you cry, regret, commit suicide, even burn your kingdom ninety-eight times!"

Cecilia's eyes glowed red, not because of revenge but because her sanity was starting to erode.

"I saved your kingdom, your kingdom too, but I could never save mine! I've had enough! To hell with all of you! I hate having to transmigrate to this stupid world that keeps repeating times like this!"

Cedric and Damian looked at each other. Neither of them knew what was happening. But Cecilia knew. She always knew what she said with anger.

She had been reincarnated, reawakened as Princess Magenta ninety-nine times.

She used to think transmigrating to a fantasy world as a princess was a beautiful dream. But no. Not when her world ended in blood and death that she could never avoid.

"Kill me," she whispered, challenging the two men in front of her. "Come on, make my death complete. It doesn't matter how many times you kill me. I always come back. Starting this damn game over and over until I meet my death again."

Everything Cecilia said sounded rotten. She didn't even look like a princess anymore. Cecilia was filled with hatred, a type of hatred that was even deeper than the hatred Cedric and Damian had.

"The 100th time. I should get a special reward if this world is really a game."

Damian frowned. Because of Cecilia's unreasonable words, the people watching the execution process began to feel restless. They thought that Cecilia was cursing them at the end of her life.

"Kill her!"

"Kill!"

The frightened people began to urge for the death sentence to be carried out immediately. Cedric looked at Damian. Then, with mutual agreement, they finally gave the signal for the executioner to carry out the sentence.

"Cecilia, you will be beheaded for your crimes that have caused the deaths of thousands of people. Before you die, do you want to admit your guilt?"

Cecilia smiled. That's right. No matter what ending she got, everything was always her fault.

"No."

Her answer was strongly rejected by the people. Cecilia didn't care. After all, no matter what she did, she would always be her evil character.

"No matter what you say, the result won't change, Cecil."

Cedric whispered, calling Cecilia by her childhood nickname. Cecilia didn't answer that. There was nothing more she wanted to talk about with the person who had killed her so many times.

"Do it."

The great axe was raised as Damian gave the order. Cecilia remained calm. Rather than being afraid, she seemed to be looking forward to death.

STAB!

That day, Cecilia died for the 99th time.
