" Do you understand Mr Stane?"
I was brought out if my thoughts by the sound of an elderly man in a wheelchair, he looked at me weirdly and I even caught him moving his much a bunch of times trying to speak but stuttered over his words a bit.
I felt like scoffing at that..
He wasn't used to having people he couldn't read their minds I realised.
" Yes, I understand Mr Charles." I said before continuing. " I Awakened as a mutant and now you're here to take me a school full of said mutants because my life might be in danger, right?"
I asked that like this was just another Tuesday to me, inside though my thoughts weren't as nonchalant.
I was practically reeling!
After all, not even a week into my reincanation and I was being visited by the second most powerful mind reader in the planet, second only to the redhead woman behind him who looked at me with a scrunch on her pretty face, I had no doubt that she was trying to read my mind.
[— Gamer's Mind Has Blocked Mental Intrusion!]
There we go!
You know, I felt like I should be feeling some anger at having two people trying to read my mind right now. But I just couldn't bring myself to do so.
I was mentally drained, not even Gamer's Mind seemed to be able to fix that as it was the nerfed kind that didn't immediately calm you down when you were stressed.
So I have had an entire week where I was looking behind me at all times alongside sleepless nights at the thought that the world would suddenly implode on itself.
Thank god I didn't need to sleep anymore, not from the Gamer's Mind but another boon that I had obtained that very day.
Me stressing myself out was understandable though, seeing the place I had found myself in.
And if you hadn't realised what world I was talking about being the Marvel universe should fill you on why I felt the way that I felt.
" Yes, that's...the jist of it." A black tall beauty with white hair said, she looked at me with an amused smirk on her face that I couldn't quite figure.
" So, do you agree to come with us?" The redhead asked.
Hearing that question I simply stared at the three right in my living room, one that I had just bought with illegal money. I was under no pretences that they didn't know that.
" Do I really have a choice in this?" I asked, grabbing a glass of gin on the table and sipping on it to calm my nerves in the process.
" I mean.. yes, you do." The redhead asked again, confusion clear as day on her features.
" Not really, I don't." I said sighing to myself.
' When did my life get so complicated?' I asked myself before looking at the three infront of me.
' Oh yeah, when I found myself in one of the most dangerous world's in the entire Multiverse!'
" What do you mean you don't?" Charles asked not being as chatty as he's usually shown to be, or even that charismatic in my opinion.
" Well you see, It's either I go with you or someone like Magneto who I'm sure has already heard about me due to someone in your school having probably informed him right now finds me." I said with a shrug not at all concerned, on the outside anyway.
" And to be honest with you, I don't think Magneto will take a no which means he'll probably encase me in metal and kidnap me to be indoctrinated into his cause by force if needs be. So the moment you fuckers entered my apartment, I had my choice taken from me one way or the other."
" And let's not forget other government organisations that watch over mutants, especially you guys, they have probably gotten wind of this...meeting, so my life here is as good as gone."
"That leaves me to choose, go with you, the terrorist or getting caught by some off the books government organisation to be experimented on." Finishing my spill I then stood up.
I did not miss how all their eyes were wide, they probably didn't expect me to say or know any of what I knew.
" I..." The redhead went to speak but choked on her words.
The chocolate skinned beauty's stare simply deepened, her interest having been probably peaked by a lot.
Whilst on the other hand, Xavier aside from surprise now had something else in his eyes. Weariness.
" So let me grab my stuff quickly and let's go, yeah?" I didn't allow them to talk before I walked into my bedroom.
' Damn, I just got this place.' I thought frowning to myself before I started packing.
I didn't have too much to pack, just clothes I had bought yesterday with my ill-gotten gains and something's such as a phone and laptop and of course the $2,250 dollars that was left of my 'heist' if you could even call it that.
But before I walked out I decided to look over my status again.

" Well that went well." The red head, Jean Grey said rubbing her temples." Atleast he's being more cooperative than most mutants we deal with."
" Yeah, if only just to protect himself." The Brown skinned beauty retorted with a snort.
" So Professor, what do you think if him?" Ororo asked, focusing on the man in the wheelchair who seemed too deep into his mind.
" I can't read his mind." Was all Charles said.
" Yeah, me neither." Jean said being in the same boat as her mentor.
" Is that a bad thing?" Ororo asked, frowning at how easily the two talked about breaching someone's mind and privacy as if it were a norm.
" Don't get me wrong Ororo, I know how reading someone's mind without their permission may look." Charles began." But we need to know what his power is and how dangerous it is in order for us to teach him to control it."
To that Ororo scowled even more, she was under no pretences that Charles was reading her Mind right now, how else would he have known of how she thought on the topic.
' Hypocrite.' Ororo thought rolling her eyes, for all his talks about gaining permission to read someone's mind, he sure didn't seem to be of the same mind when it came to her but he seemed to not make comment on her current thoughts so she let it go.
" Are you sure he's the one professor?" Jean asked, wanting to change topics. She too could hear Ororo's thoughts and this wasn't intentional on her part, she simply lacked control to shut everyone's voices down unlike Charles.
" Yes, he's the one." Charles replied." When I sensed his powers Awakening, Cerebro reacted way more stronger than it ever did. It almost fried my brain in the process but I managed to get to see who it was."
The two woman behind him thought back to the event.
They had been doing a routine check on any newly awakened mutants who were in trouble or in need of assistance when it happened. The entire Cerebro mainframe sparked and short-circuited while strong psionic waves wrecked through the Cerebro chamber and into the mansion, this had incapacitated almost everyone on the mansion but luckily there was no further or lasting damage to anyone.
" So, he's an Omega?" Ororo asked, her eyes strayed to the door that Wilson had entered in interest and amazement, after all there weren't that many Omega mutants in the world.
Jean's eyes too strayed to the door, she wasn't as surprised that he was an Omega but more so that she couldn't get a read on him, intentionally or otherwise.
" No." Charles finally answered.
Ororo and Jean looked at him with confusion, afterall if he wasn't an Omega then what could he possibly be?
" I believe that he's beyond an Omega Mutant." Charles said, his voice grim for some reason of which the two woman picked up on.
Their focus though was drawn on his words.
Beyond Omega.
They shuddered at the thought, Jean for an entire different reason.
