Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: Changes

Poison Ivy Heir: "Hello, Linyue-kun. I'm Saeko Busujima—just call me Saeko."

Young Miss of the East: "I'm Dongfang Huaizhu. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Linyue."

Vase Leader: "I'm Holy Emperor—pleased to meet you. As for my job… well, I'm technically the head of a country."

Inazuma's Shadow Warrior: "Baal Zebul—though you can call me Raiden Ei. A pleasure."

Nearly Omnipotent: "Nice to meet you all. Gotta go now, though—I'm gonna be late for school."

Poison Ivy Heir: "Huh?! Linyue-kun is still a student?!"

Nearly Omnipotent: "Yep. First year of high school."

Vase Leader: "Wait, doesn't that make you Saeko's junior?!"

Young Miss of the East: "I never expected you to be so young."

While the group chat buzzed with conversation, Linyue had already logged off.

A few seconds earlier, a knock had sounded at his door.

"Onii-chan! Time to wake up!"

"If you don't get up now, Kotori's coming in!"

Hearing the energetic voice outside, Linyue smiled faintly.

When he opened the door, he was greeted by the sight of a girl in a pristine white school uniform, paired with a fiery red skirt. Her delicate, doll-like face was framed by long crimson hair, matching her skirt, tied into twin tails with white ribbons.

This was Linyue's adopted younger sister, Itsuka Kotori, known in the original story as the Flame Spirit, "Ifrit"!

"ah!"

"O-Onii-chan… You're up already?!"

Linyue's sudden appearance startled Kotori. Clearly, she hadn't expected him to be awake so early.

A flicker of disappointment crossed her face. Normally, Linyue slept in, and it was her job as his little sister to climb onto his bed and "wake him up" in her own special way.

And what was that way, you ask?

A kiss from his dear little sister, of course.

"What's wrong? Is Kotori disappointed?"

"Too bad—looks like you won't get to use your 'special service' today."

Linyue's lips curled into a gentle smirk as he teased her.

Normally, Kotori was the one who barged in to wake him up—but honestly, it wasn't so much him taking advantage of her as it was her shamelessly exploiting him.

It made Linyue sigh at the terrifying power of his "All-Transcending Charm" ability. What was once a perfectly decent guy had basically turned into a male succubus, a walking, talking aphrodisiac.

Seriously terrifying!

"Onii-chan, what are you thinking about, hmm~?"

Linyue's words made Kotori's face instantly flush bright red as she stared at him, equal parts embarrassed and expectant.

"Onii-chan… can you crouch down a little?"

At Linyue's towering height of 185 cm, Kotori seemed almost tiny in comparison.

"Sure."

He already knew what she was planning—but he obediently lowered himself anyway.

And in that very moment, Kotori struck.

"Mwah!"

Her soft lips pressed against his cheek for the briefest second before she immediately pulled back, grinning mischievously.

"Good morning, Onii-chan~~~!"

With that, she bolted down the hallway like a startled rabbit, leaving Linyue standing there, touching his cheek with a faint, amused smile.

Having such an adorable little sister… what more could a guy ask for?

As Kotori's figure disappeared around the corner, Linyue turned his attention to the system notification in front of him.

[Ding! Interaction with Itsuka Kotori complete. Intimacy Points gained: 100]

Perfect. At this rate, he'd soon have enough to "Ascend" his Cosmic Heart.

After indulging in a brief daydream about the future, Linyue headed downstairs.

Stepping into the spacious, 100-square-meter living room, his gaze landed on the kitchen, where a woman with long silver hair, sky-blue eyes, flawless porcelain skin and a delicate yet curvaceous figure was busy cooking.

This was the woman known as Mio Takamiya—the Primordial Spirit and the de facto final boss of the Date A Live universe. Currently, she was going by the alias Murasame Reine, and she was also the owner of this ridiculously luxurious mansion.

The villa Linyue now lived in wasn't the Itsuka family home—it was hers.

Spanning over 3,000 square meters, it was the most extravagant residence in the area, complete with more rooms than anyone could possibly need.

As for why he'd moved here from the Itsuka household in the first place? Well, that was Reine's idea.

She hadn't given a clear reason, just casually mentioned that there was "plenty of space."

Kotori, of course, had followed Linyue and Reine without hesitation. There were multiple reasons for that, one being that her parents were rarely home anyway. In fact, the moment they'd met Linyue, they'd immediately entrusted their daughter to him—so much so that they hadn't even visited in over a year.

"Yue-chan, you're up~! Good morning~~~!"

Reine turned around, spotting Linyue through the kitchen window. Her face instantly lit up with a radiant smile, and her movements became almost dance-like, as if every stir of the pot was part of some graceful performance.

"Mmm, good morning, Reine-nee."

Linyue nodded and took a seat at the dining table, his gaze lingering on Murasame Reine.

Without a doubt, as the Primordial Spirit, Mio was absolute perfection both in looks and figure. A youthful face with big breasts and ample curves, fulfilling every fantasy.

After living together for over a year, Linyue had confirmed that Mio bore him no ill will. He'd also investigated and found that Tōka Shido didn't exist in this world.

As for Takamiya Shinji—he did exist, but he and Mio had never crossed paths.

This led Linyue to one conclusion: this world was different.

Wait… if that was the case… maybe it had something to do with him!

Connecting the dots with the Cosmic Core he'd obtained from the recent system check-in, a bold theory formed in his mind.

That's right—he'd time-traveled back thirty years, to the exact moment Mio first descended into this world!!!

Everything suddenly made sense. It explained why Mio had sought him out when he first arrived in this world.

Even her usual restraint yet barely concealed emotions during their daily interactions now had a reason.

With this realization, Linyue's expression softened as he looked at her.

But he didn't ask. He didn't pry into her memories or dig for answers.

Instead, he chose to let things unfold naturally. When the time came to return to the past, he'd act on instinct.

Because he believed this was how the future was meant to be.

"Reine-san, where's Kotori? Didn't she wake up already?"

Linyue pulled back his gentle gaze, feigning ignorance with a smile.

Reine slowly turned her head, her delicate face breaking into a radiant smile. "Today's your first day of school, isn't it? She said she has a surprise for you!"

She paused, then added, "Oh, and… are you sure you'll be okay with the coursework?"

"No problem at all."

Linyue nodded.

In the year since arriving in this world, he hadn't rushed into school. Instead, he'd spent that time familiarizing himself with everything.

But he hadn't been idle.

Thanks to his [Omniscient] ability, he'd already mastered every piece of knowledge this world had to offer.

At this point, he wasn't just ready for school—he could've taught the classes himself.

"That's a relief!"

Reine's eyes shimmered with endless tenderness as she stared at Linyue—so much so that it seemed she might lose control and throw herself into his arms any second.

Under that gaze, even Linyue felt his composure wavering.

"Ahem… Reine-nee, your food's about to burn."

"Ah! Oh no—!"

A faint charred smell hit her nose, and Reine hurriedly turned back to salvage the dish in front of her.
