Chapter 32 - Solving the Difference Between the Mangekyou and the Three-Tomoe Sharingan

"Your place is pretty big," Amemiya Kenichi remarked, looking across at Kakashi. He was starting to feel a bit of a headache. How had things ended up like this?

Just moments ago, Amemiya Kenichi had been enjoying ramen with Kakashi at Ichiraku Ramen. Now, he found himself at Kakashi's home.

"It's just me here," Kakashi said, still looking unwell. Despite this, he poured Amemiya Kenichi a cup of tea.

"That eye of yours must be quite a burden, huh?" Amemiya Kenichi took the teacup, raised it to his lips, and took a sip. The tea was decent, though nothing special.

At least it didn't have any weird flavors. Amemiya Kenichi had heard that some people liked to add strange things to their tea.

Kakashi instinctively touched his eye. This eye had been given to him by his best friend, Obito, and it was incredibly powerful.

When Kakashi had first returned to Konoha, the Uchiha Clan had given him trouble. If his Teacher hadn't intervened, things might have turned ugly.

"Yeah," Kakashi replied, his headache intensifying at the mention of the burden his eye carried.

While the Sharingan is undeniably a powerful eye, the problem is its massive Chakra consumption. Kakashi is currently losing vast amounts of Chakra daily to his Sharingan, which he finds deeply unsettling.

Amemiya Kenichi stroked his chin, nearly blurting out, "Give me your eye."

After all, this was the Mangekyō Sharingan. Amemiya Kenichi desperately wanted to study the differences between this eye and ordinary Three-Tomoe or Two-Tomoe Sharingan.

The Mangekyō Sharingan is a truly miraculous eye. Using its unique Dōjutsu drains the eye itself, eventually leading to blindness.

The only solution is to evolve the Mangekyō Sharingan into the Eternal Mangekyō, which eliminates the drain on ocular power and allows for further advancement.

But why does using the Mangekyō Sharingan's unique Dōjutsu cause gradual blindness?

What exactly distinguishes the Eternal Mangekyō from the ordinary Mangekyō?

Are the patterns in the Mangekyō Sharingan's pupils randomly generated, or do they follow fixed rules? If he could replicate Shisui's pupil pattern, could he master the Heavenly Shine?

"I'm so curious," Amemiya Kenichi licked his lips with a hint of excitement.

The Mangekyō Sharingan was already rare in the Ninja World. Amemiya Kenichi only knew of Kakashi and Obito, with Shisui and Itachi possibly awakening it in the future.

He wasn't entirely sure if Uchiha Fugaku, the Uchiha Clan's leader, possessed the Mangekyō.

But considering how easy it would be to obtain, Kakashi's eye was definitely the most accessible option.

Still, he knew he couldn't make his intentions too obvious.

"Kakashi, um, this might be a little embarrassing to ask, but..." Amemiya Kenichi said softly, his face flushing just enough to sell the act.

Kakashi paused, surprised, but didn't dwell on it. After all, the fact that he'd developed the Chidori was no secret among Konoha's higher-ups.

"It's a simple ninjutsu. If you want to learn it, I can teach you," Kakashi said after a moment of silence, finally deciding to share the technique.

His teacher often asked if he was making friends properly, and his teacher's wife would inquire as well.

"Thanks, Kakashi!" Amemiya Kenichi grinned cheerfully, his eyes casually glancing at Kakashi's Sharingan.

The Mangekyō Sharingan—he absolutely had to get his hands on it. Shisui and Itachi wouldn't awaken theirs for some time, and Obito was currently beyond his reach. Kakashi was his only option.

"I still feel a little bad about this," Amemiya Kenichi muttered, dragging his exhausted body onto his small bed.

Learning the Chidori wasn't particularly difficult. Kenichi was confident he could master this ninjutsu quickly, though it would take some time.

But figuring out how to steal Kakashi's Mangekyō Sharingan during the chaos of the Nine-Tailed Beast Uprising was proving to be a real headache.

First, Kakashi's current strength was considerable. He had become a Jonin at such a young age, his natural talent far surpassing Kenichi's, who hadn't acquired the First Hokage's Sage Body Constitution.

Second, while the Sharingan placed a burden on Kakashi, it undeniably enhanced his abilities.

"Maybe I could exhaust his chakra reserves," Kenichi mused, stroking his chin. "Kakashi's chakra reserves now definitely aren't as vast as they'll become later." He liked the sound of that plan.

Kenichi's strength had grown considerably, and he felt he stood a decent chance against Kakashi now. The only problem was he still hadn't mastered Sage Art.

This made Kenichi even more eager to meet the First Hokage, though he knew there was a chance the First Hokage might refuse to teach him.

If that happened, his only option would probably be to ask his teacher to take him to Ryūchi Cave to learn Sage Art.

Of course, he could try developing it himself, but the risk of petrification from improperly handling Natural Energy made him cautious.

"Alright, that's settled then. When the time comes, I'll study the differences between the Three-Tomoe Sharingan and the Mangekyō. The Eternal Mangekyō is still too far off," Kenichi said, stretching lazily.

His research was progressing well, so he considered himself prepared with the Three-Tomoe Sharingan. That's why he planned to take Kakashi's Sharingan.

Although Kakashi's eyes currently appeared as ordinary Three-Tomoe Sharingan, Kenichi knew they had already evolved into the Mangekyō.

Kakashi didn't know how to activate it, so he remained unaware of this fact.

Though Amemiya Kenichi felt somewhat guilty towards Kakashi, he believed that without the Sharingan, Kakashi could forge his own unique path. After all, Kakashi was a genius.

The only real problem was Obito.

"That guy Obito... if he finds out Kakashi's Sharingan is gone, there's bound to be trouble." Just thinking about Obito gave Kenichi a headache.

Obito's eyes behaved differently depending on who possessed them.

With Kakashi, Obito would likely follow the established storyline. But with a stranger like Kenichi...

Kenichi genuinely couldn't predict what Obito would do.

Shaking his head, Kenichi reminded himself that the Nine-Tailed Beast Uprising was imminent. He needed to finalize his plans for that day.

If everything went smoothly, he could secure a substantial amount of funds, research materials, and even the Mangekyō Sharingan.

It would be a massive haul.

"Go for it, big brother Hermaphrodite! We're just waiting for you to stir things up."
