Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Reunited Family

"HAHAHA! Sasuke! I won!"

Looking at Naruto laughing triumphantly, Sasuke was speechless, unable to say a word. He could only turn his head away, refusing to look at him.

After the PK match ended, the small room they were in merged into a larger space and was broadcast through the light screen.

In other words, now everyone across the Shinobi World could see Naruto and Sasuke through the screen.

This clearly meant that things weren't over yet.

The audience didn't know what was coming, but as the ones who had experienced it firsthand, Naruto and Sasuke understood exactly what was about to happen next.

It was something that would truly, undeniably shock the entire Shinobi World!

"Uhh..."

Naruto scratched his head, as if he were talking to the air. Sasuke, standing beside him, couldn't help but show a hint of envy in his eyes.

Damn it, he actually missed this kind of opportunity...

"Now that I think about it, I don't really have anyone I need to revive. I don't know anyone."

Naruto's sudden words struck like a bolt of lightning from the sky, hitting everyone squarely in the forehead.

W-what?!

What did that brat just say...? He couldn't have meant that seriously, right?

Revive? Was that just a homonym?

"Hehehe~ Now that should shake them up a bit!"

Takuya chuckled. Without a dramatic twist like this, getting people to accept it wouldn't be easy.

But if a well-known deceased person was really summoned back from the Pure Land by the light screen, then no one would be able to deny it.

As long as you played the Ninja Mobile Game, there was a chance to revive a deceased loved one, companion, or teacher...

That's what everyone would start to believe!

Takuya's goal was to spread the Ninja Mobile Game across the entire Shinobi World as quickly as possible.

For that, a bit of early-stage chaos was only natural. Besides, regarding what was shown on the screen, he hadn't lied about the important parts.

The threat of the Ōtsutsuki Clan hung above like the sword of Damocles, always present.

After finally arriving here, and with such an opportunity in hand, of course everyone should be enjoying the game.

"So, what's your choice?"

At this moment, Takuya, just like everyone else in the Shinobi World, stared intently at the conflicted expression on Naruto's face in the light screen.

If Sasuke had gotten this opportunity, he probably wouldn't have hesitated too long—maybe just a painful struggle between choosing his father or mother.

Honestly, it'd probably be very painful.

But Naruto was now completely at a loss for what to do.

He only participated in the match to avoid losing to Sasuke, but after winning, he hadn't expected that he didn't even have anyone to revive. It was both joyful and pitiful.

Naruto...

Naruto...

Naruto...

Countless people in Konoha stared at Naruto, silently calling out his name in their hearts.

Hokage! Hokage! Hokage!

Even if no one knew whether this mysterious thing could actually bring the dead back to life, the most logical choice for revival would obviously be one of the Hokage!

Only those figures etched into history could truly maximize the potential benefits of this opportunity.

Even the villagers and regular shinobi, not to mention the Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen, would likely think the same.

Jiraiya, Kakashi, and others probably would too—it was only human nature.

"The Fourth Hokage."

Naruto's words made everyone's eyes twitch.

If Konoha's people were ecstatic, the expressions of those from other villages instantly soured, like they had just lost a loved one.

"The Yellow Flash, huh?"

The Fourth Raikage muttered to himself with a touch of emotion. After all, that was a man whose speed rivaled his own.

Onōki's old face scrunched up, silently cursing Naruto for saying the wrong name.

As another Fourth, Rasa couldn't ignore the man who was a towering presence in the Shinobi World.

Frankly, no one outside of Konoha wanted to experience the terror of the Yellow Flash again.

Meanwhile, within the light screen space—

"The Fourth Hokage is amazing and all, but I don't know anyone else. So I guess... him? But..."

Naruto glanced at Sasuke, hesitated, then asked, "Sasuke, is there someone you want to bring back?"

Is there?

Is there?

Is there?

That simple question echoed in Sasuke's mind like a boomerang, circling again and again, never stopping.

His eyes widened instantly, and his lips trembled.

Is there? Of course there is—too many. Each name was etched vividly into his memory, never forgotten, never dared to be forgotten.

But what did Naruto mean by that?

"Naruto, I... don't need to."

Only heaven knew how much effort it took Sasuke to force out those words. His tightly bitten lip was already bleeding.

Seeing Sasuke like that, Naruto understood.

"Hey! Can you hear me? Uh, weird thing up there?"

Naruto shouted toward the sky.

"If you can hear me, I want to use the prize you promised the winner. If I can only revive one person..."

"Sasuke—Uchiha Sasuke's mother!"

"Naruto!!!" Sasuke roared.

To all the viewers, this was an unexpected twist. No one had imagined that Naruto would do something like this.

The Konoha villagers who had just been overjoyed were now stunned, like they had fallen from heaven straight into hell. Some even broke down and started swearing.

But the other villages? They were all laughing—reviving an Uchiha woman? She could never compare to the Yellow Flash, Namikaze Minato.

Yet soon, everyone fell silent.

Even Sasuke was frozen.

A figure both unfamiliar and familiar began to take form in Sasuke's eyes, not far ahead.

Like ripples on water forming from mist, she emerged silently, quietly.

A gentle woman with long, straight black hair.

"...Sasuke?"

The first thing she saw as her consciousness returned was Sasuke—her grown-up Sasuke.

Sasuke opened his mouth, nearly blurting out "Mother," but held it back, only staring at Naruto with a face full of complicated emotions.

"Why? If you can revive someone without knowing their name, then theoretically, you could've brought back one of your parents. Don't you want to meet them? Or even revive one of the respected Hokage?"

Sasuke couldn't understand—couldn't even imagine it.

If he had won, there was no way he would have given the reward to someone else. He might even have complained that reviving only one person was too little.

Naruto had no parents. Didn't even know his parents. Sasuke knew that well.

This guy, alone in the world—what was he going to say? That he was used to being lonely? What kind of crap was that?

"Well, I only won because you slipped up, right? I never even thought of tricking a substitution technique. It's not like we won't have more chances later."

"Besides..."

At that, Naruto grinned. "If a father or mother suddenly popped out of nowhere, I think I'd just feel awkward. Better to bring them both back together sometime—I've got questions for them!"

"...Naruto." Sasuke softly called his name.

"Don't make that face! Seriously, it's ugly. Is this really the elite-student Sasuke?"

"Next time, I'll beat you fair and square. But for now," Naruto reached out and gave Sasuke a shove, "someone's waiting for you over there!"

Sasuke took a deep breath, said no more, and turned to face the woman.

Uchiha Mikoto—his mother.

"Mom!!!"
