Chapter 7 - pt.7

One of them spoke again, "You can tell us about it."

I took a deep breath and said, "Actually, we received a letter this morning from the three sorcerers Karlontast, in which they announce war on our kingdom and the Kingdom of Molania, and that they will cooperate with demons and jinn, and you know that our forces will not be able to stand against the power of demons, as they are many times stronger than us, and we also want to extinguish the matter of that curse that wiped out the two kingdoms so that everyone will not be annihilated, so we are asking for your help and we hope that you will help us in that, as you are the only ones who can stand against the demons and help us extinguish the matter of that curse.... I hope you will agree to that."

I looked at them nervously, hoping that they would agree to that, but I was shocked by their sudden disappearance in front of me. I looked at Max and asked, "What does that mean?"

I noticed Max's features and his obvious disappointment as he said softly, "It means they refused."

I felt very sad and said, "Impossible! Did they abandon us so easily! Why are they like this!"

Max approached me and patted my shoulder gently, saying kindly, "Don't worry, Patrice. You did a good job. We can do it."

I looked at him and saw him smiling at me gently and calmly, so I returned a calm smile as well. I turned away from him and went downstairs to sit with Marcelina.

{After a week}

It was a week full of hard training. It was rare to see Max in the palace, as he spent most, if not all, of his time outside the palace, training all the soldiers. He and my father were training the soldiers of the two kingdoms. The number of soldiers was literally leading 3,000 soldiers!

Today was the day of the battle. I felt very worried and scared. I was pacing around the room anxiously, nervously, and fearfully. Mrs. Marcelina was sitting on the couch and her daughter Marlene was pacing with me in the room. I heard her say grumbling, "Patrice, my head is starting to hurt. What do you think about sitting down for a bit?"

I ignored what she said and continued pacing around myself in the room. I stopped after a while and said, "It's impossible for me to stand here without doing anything. I'm going to them!"

I was about to leave the room, but Mrs. Marcelina stopped me, saying worriedly, "No, my dear, don't do that. You must trust in the strength of your husband, Max. He's strong, don't worry, and..."

Her words were interrupted by the sound of an explosion that wasn't very loud, it seemed a bit far away. I moved Mrs. Marcelina away from me worriedly and said, "No, I can't do that. Please don't stop me. I'm going!"

I pushed her away from me gently and ran out of the room and out of the palace altogether, while grabbing the edges of my long, royal Victorian dress and lifting it up a little to make it easier for me to run.

I took one of the horses we had in the palace and climbed on it. It was my favorite horse, white in color, and I called him .

I gently stroked his head as I climbed on him and said, "Run, Lony, as fast as you can."

The horse started running quickly and my long, chestnut hair fluttered behind me in the air. After about ten minutes, I arrived at the battle site!

I stopped my horse Lony a little away from the battle so that he wouldn't be harmed. I got off him and said, "Go back to the palace!"

The horse seemed to understand what I was telling him, but he neighed while shaking his head. I continued, "Okay... but don't move from your place, Lony."

I turned around and grabbed the edge of my dress again, lifted it up a little, and ran towards the battle site. After a few seconds, I arrived at the place to see Max fighting something, or rather, a very ugly and scary creature. It was black in color, charred, with a little bit of red on it, and its mouth, both inside and out, was full of blood. It had horns and was a bit huge!

I felt terrified because of that. Max was fighting it with all his might, and his body and face were full of wounds. I was about to leave, but I saw someone approaching Max cautiously from behind him, holding a very sharp dagger in his hand. He wanted to surprise Max with it and stab the dagger into him, but without feeling it, I ran towards him quickly while everyone was fighting, but I ignored them and shouted loudly, "Max, watch out!!!!!!!!"

I faced that person before he could stab the dagger into Max, and instead of stabbing the dagger into Max's body, it stabbed into my body!

I fell to the ground with my blood surrounding me. I felt severe pain, but I struggled to smile at Max and smiled at him painfully as I looked at him while he was looking at me in shock. I said painfully and whispered, "Be careful!..."

Suddenly, the whole world went dark in front of me and complete blackness

prevailed....

Max:

I felt very shocked when I saw Patrice lying on the ground with blood surrounding her and that dagger stuck in her heart!

She was smiling at me, which made me feel very guilty!

I forgot about the world around me and was about to look for that scoundrel who stabbed her, but I was interrupted, or rather, we were all interrupted by that loud tremor that echoed in the place, causing everyone to fall to the ground. The same three angels that Patrice had summoned a week ago appeared!

I looked at them in shock and disbelief; Didn't they refuse to fight in this battle?!

I saw one of them heading towards Patrice, so I blocked his way, while everyone who was fighting, especially the demons, felt fear. They felt the energy emanating from the angels, which was ten times stronger than them!

That king pushed me out of his way towards Patrice and knelt in front of her. He pulled the dagger out of her heart and threw it away.

He took out the necklace that I had given to Patrice that day and put it back around her neck. All of this happened before everyone's eyes. He took her hand between his palms and placed his hands on the side of the stab wound that Patrice had received from that dagger.

He closed his eyes and muttered some words that no one could hear clearly.

A faint light appeared under the king's and Patrice's hands at the site of the wound. He moved his hand and her hand away again to see him carrying Patrice in his arms.

I was going to stop him, but he suddenly disappeared in front of everyone!

Suddenly, the two remaining kings advanced towards the demons and sorcerers and muttered something together, causing the sounds of the demons' loud and terrifying screams to echo in the place.

Everyone was shocked when they saw the demons burning and after a while, they disappeared completely!

After the two kings finished what they had done to the demons, they headed towards the three sorcerers, and before we could see what would happen to the three sorcerers, suddenly darkness enveloped the place!... Yes, everyone fainted!
