Days went by, and I felt more comfortable in my new school. I kept trying to get to know Zeta better, even though he was still quiet and didn't talk much. However, I felt a small progress, as he started answering my questions with more than one word.
One day, during recess, I saw Zeta sitting alone in the cafeteria. I decided to approach him and try to start a conversation. "Hey, Zeta! What do you want to eat?" I asked while sitting next to him.
Zeta turned to me and replied, "Fried rice." I smiled and said, "I like fried rice too! Want me to buy some with you at the cafeteria?"
Zeta nodded, and I took him to the cafeteria. While walking, I tried to talk to him about things he liked. "Zeta, do you like sports?" I asked.
Zeta replied, "Yes, I like basketball." I smiled and said, "I like basketball too! Maybe we can play together someday."
Zeta smiled slightly, and I felt hopeful that I could become closer friends with him. I asked again, "Who do you usually play basketball with?"
Zeta replied, "Friends from the school basketball club." I smiled and said, "That's cool! Maybe I can join you guys someday."
Zeta nodded, and I felt like I was getting closer to him. I hoped that the days ahead would be more enjoyable with Zeta as my new friend!
