Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 – The calm before the Fall

Somewhere in Kyoto, Two Years Ago

It was supposed to be over.

Gojo Satoru stood at the top of a hill, blindfold fluttering in the wind. His Six Eyes scanned across the land that had once been plagued by cursed spirits. Now, nothing.

Not a whisper of cursed energy.

Not even a flicker in the cursed object vaults.

Everything gone.

Yaga was dead.

Geto long gone.

Sukuna eradicated, or so it seemed.

And the higher-ups? They sealed themselves off in fear of what Gojo had become.

But Gojo knew the truth.

"This isn't peace," he murmured. "This is... interference."

He remembered sensing it a shift in the fabric of their world. Not from within... but from beyond.

Gojo's barrier techniques flared, instinctively reacting to a ripple in the dimensional space. But the ripple faded just as quickly as it came.

"Someone's holding this world in stasis," he said, lips curling into a smirk. "And that someone isn't from here."

He walked away from the cliff.

And vanished.

Not dead. Not sealed.

Just waiting.

Elsewhere Tokyo Jujutsu High

Megumi Fushiguro sat beneath the torii gate of the old school, flipping through ancient scrolls. He had taken up the task of rebuilding what little remained of the sorcerer society. But the students? Gone. Reassigned. The cursed tools? Dormant.

Even his Ten Shadows Technique felt dulled.

"We're being drained," he whispered. "Like the world itself is being muted."

Nobara's photo sat on the desk nearby, next to a faded group photo with Yuji.

"I don't trust this peace."

At the Zen'in Compound (Now Abandoned)

Maki Zen'in trained alone in a field of shattered training dummies, her twin katana slicing the air with mechanical precision. Her strength hadn't waned but the enemies had.

She punched through a cursed target dummy, only to feel something strange the dummy didn't regenerate.

No cursed energy.

No resistance.

Just... lifeless silence.

She narrowed her eyes and muttered:

"The battlefield died before the warriors did. That's not natural."

Elsewhere Dimensional Boundary (Seen only by the Few)

Hidden within layers of time and space, Kenjaku's presence flickered. A whisper of what he once was. He had failed. But he left something behind a trigger.

A false peace designed to incubate chaos.

All he needed... was a new host.

Meanwhile Back to Yuji, Present Day

Yuji clutched the dagger, the whisper still echoing in his mind.

"Inheritor... awaken."

Suddenly, time slowed.

A shadow loomed behind him.

He turned

And saw glowing violet eyes beneath a black hood.

Sung Jin-Woo had arrived.
