Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Opening a Hospital

After Kawaki corrected Nawaki's improper posture, he let him practice on his own.

It has to be said that the genes of Hashirama Senju are quite excellent. Nawaki has also achieved some success in the ancestral [Chakra Enhanced Strength]. The weight of the sword is not a problem for him.

Moreover, the Senju family also has some swordsmanship classics. With the guidance of Kawaki, a professional, Nawaki is now showing some proficiency.

Tsunade nodded in satisfaction as she watched from the side. Nawaki was obviously much more focused than when he practiced at home.

"Kawaki-kun, is this the swordsmanship passed down in the Hatake family?"

Hearing Tsunade speak, Kawaki shifted his gaze from Nawaki and, with a warm smile, claimed the swordsmanship skills he learned from Chinese culture as his own.

"It's just a little insight I gained on my own cultivation path."

He coolly showed off his skills. Tsunade had a good eye, and she had never seen better basic swordsmanship moves.

"Kawaki-kun is indeed a genius of the Hatake clan."

"Oh, come on. It's all thanks to the blessings of our ancestors."

This was actually true, but it sounded like self - modesty to Tsunade's ears.

Kushina rolled her eyes as she listened. Don't be fooled by her carefree appearance. At a young age, she came to Konoha alone and had a mature mind.

Women in love are unreasonable. She thought Tsunade might have been poisoned by Kawaki.

She focused her attention on Nawaki, then ran to the weapon rack, picked up a wooden sword, and started to practice.

It would be great to learn a few moves and show off in front of Minato. She could already imagine the surprised look on that blond - haired, sunny - smiling boy's face as he praised her.

As she practiced, a silly smile appeared on her face. In the end, she had become the kind of person she used to hate.

"Let's sit here for a while."

Kawaki had no intention of practicing at all. Isn't it better to be with a beauty than to practice?

He led Tsunade to a stone table in the martial arts training hall. The ancient - style circular stone table was paired with four stone benches, giving an air of ancient China.

Tsunade sat down opposite him, straightened her clothes, and subtly tightened her collar. Kawaki's occasional burning glances made her a little shy.

Kawaki waved his hand, and a figure brought over freshly brewed tea.

This is one of the perks of being rich. There are always people willing to run errands.

"This is this year's new tea."

Saying this, Kawaki poured a cup of tea for Tsunade and then for himself.

"Thank you, Kawaki - kun."

Tsunade picked up the teacup and took a sip. As expected, the Hatake family was wealthy. This tea was top - grade from the Land of Tea. An ordinary family wouldn't be willing to buy it.

"Good tea."

"Haha, if you like it, Tsunade - chan, I'll give you two catties when you leave."

Kawaki was very generous. Such things were nothing to the de facto head of the Hatake family.

"I have some ideas about what you mentioned before regarding Medical Ninjas. Are you interested in hearing them?"

Kawaki couldn't just chat with Tsunade aimlessly. He planned to approach things from multiple angles, such as becoming business partners. This way, they would have more time to spend together in the future.

"Oh, please enlighten me, Kawaki - kun."

When it came to Tsunade's area of expertise, she immediately became interested.

"The main problem is the shortage of Medical Ninjas."

"My idea is to open a hospital and train our own staff.

"Not only can you heal the sick and save the dying, but once you have enough staff, your idea can naturally be put into practice."

Kawaki was scheming silently. A hospital was a money - making business, and with Tsunade around, many things could be studied, such as Hashirama's cells.

As for medical ninjas, that was secondary. Waiting for enough medical ninjas would be like waiting until the end of the Naruto series. Isn't Reincarnation of the Pure Land powerful enough, or isn't Impure World Reincarnation crazy enough?

"This idea sounds good."

Tsunade thought for a moment and frowned.

"But I don't have any money."

Money was what Tsunade lacked most. After the dissolution of the Senju clan, as the princess of the Senju clan, she really didn't have much funds. Moreover, she was well - known for losing money.

"Any problem that can be solved with money is not a problem."

"My question is, are you willing to be the dean?"

"I don't think there's a stronger medical ninja in Konoha than you."

Kawaki started to manipulate Tsunade, beginning with persuading her to be the dean.

By then, the hospital would be his, and Tsunade would also be "his". Just thinking about it was exciting.

"So, are you going to invest in me to be the dean?"

Tsunade understood what Kawaki meant and was a bit incredulous. Opening a hospital required a huge amount of money.

She had only known Kawaki for no more than three days. It felt like this wasn't a stroke of luck but a booby trap.

"Although my Hatake clan isn't a major clan."

"Opening this hospital can help you fulfill your wish on the one hand, and benefit Konoha on the other."

"I, Kawaki Hatake, am just providing some funds. It's nothing serious."

Kawaki continued to persuade, sounding high - minded. Coupled with his handsome face, his credibility immediately soared in Tsunade's eyes.

"Since Kawaki - kun trusts me so much, then I won't decline."

"Let me toast you with tea. Let's get drunk this noon."

Tsunade wasn't the type to be indecisive. Once she wanted to do something, she would agree.

She picked up her teacup and clinked it with Kawaki's. The two showed the same smile but with different thoughts, and then drank it all in one gulp.

Next, the two had a detailed discussion about opening the hospital, including choosing a location, investment funds, talent reserves, equipment procurement, and a series of other matters.

Sakumo and Natsuki came over and sat for a while. They couldn't understand what was being said and couldn't even get a word in. After drinking two cups of tea, they both excused themselves. It was better for their younger brother to handle such troublesome things on his own.

"I'll talk to my teacher about the location issue."

"However, you still have to worry about the funds. My teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi, isn't a philanthropist."

Approving the land still required an official document from Hiruzen Sarutobi, otherwise, it couldn't be obtained.

"No problem. I'll allocate funds and be ready at any time."

Kawaki wasn't familiar with the Third Hokage. It would be more convenient for Tsunade to handle this, after all, they had a teacher - student relationship, and Hiruzen Sarutobi had received many favors from the Senju family.

"Please also take more trouble with the staffing. I really don't have the connections in this area."

Kawaki knew quite a few samurai, but he didn't have any doctor acquaintances. He himself had never seen a doctor from childhood to adulthood. Having a strong healing ability is really a great advantage.

"Once the land is settled, I'll contact the staff and definitely open our hospital as soon as possible."

In her words, Tsunade already regarded the matter of the hospital as a done deal, but she didn't know that things wouldn't be as easy as she thought later.

Konoha Village was not as simple as she thought. Since the passing of her grandfather and second - grandfather, Konoha was no longer the same as she imagined.

"Then I wish everything goes smoothly for us."

Kawaki looked at the high - spirited Tsunade. Her image as a strong - willed woman made him more envious.

Moreover, regarding Hashirama's cells, he still wanted to see whether the activity of his own cells was stronger or the assimilation ability of Hashirama's cells was more powerful.

The two teacups clinked again, foreshadowing the unease of the noon drinking session.
