The next day, Ida's mind was still preoccupied with the events of the previous evening. Confiding her secret to Batuhan had provided some relief, yet an underlying fear of uncertainty lingered. Upon arriving at school, she spotted Batuhan at the far end of the corridor. He seemed calmer and more determined than usual. As she approached and began speaking with him, the mysterious tone in his voice caught her attention.
"You said you found a solution," Ida said, with a mix of curiosity and hope.
Batuhan nodded with a smile. "Yes, I'm going to introduce you to someone," he said. "But you might find it a bit strange."
Ida's heart skipped a beat. "Strange?" she asked, her brow furrowing. "Should I be scared?"
Batuhan smiled slightly. "No, don't worry. But she's a paranormal investigator. And she's also my aunt."
Ida was surprised by this revelation. "A paranormal investigator? Like a ghost hunter?"
Batuhan chuckled and nodded. "She's more than that, actually. She deals not just with ghosts or spirits but also with supernatural forces. I couldn't think of anyone better to help with your situation."
Despite her hesitation, Ida trusted Batuhan. "Alright," she said, "Let's go."
After school, Batuhan took Ida to Ahu's house. Located on the outskirts of the city, Ahu lived in a large stone house with a spacious garden. From the outside, the house appeared ordinary, but once inside, every corner was filled with mystical items and old books. The walls breathed history, adorned with ancient maps, unknown symbols, and artifacts steeped in superstition.
When Ahu opened the door, Ida realized she had imagined someone entirely different. The woman before her was extraordinarily beautiful, with long dark brown hair and striking blue eyes that made her seem otherworldly. Yet, her most notable feature was her energetic and confident demeanor, as if she absorbed all the energy in the room.
"You must be Ida," Ahu said, smiling as she gave Ida a once-over, though her gaze was not judgmental; it was warm and reassuring.
Ida nodded slightly. "Yes, Batuhan told me about you," she said, her voice tinged with shyness.
Ahu gently took Ida's arm and invited her inside. "Don't be shy. Batuhan and I have been discussing these kinds of things for a long time. You've come to the right place to learn how to control your power."
After Ida sat down, Ahu attentively listened to her. Ida spoke about her uncontrollable power, her fear of hurting others, and how alone she felt. As she talked, some of the fear she had been carrying began to lift, eased by Ahu's calm and reassuring presence.
When Ida finished, Ahu nodded solemnly. "Having a power like yours is quite rare. But it's not a curse; it's something you can learn to control. I can help you."
Ahu carefully opened a small black box on the table, revealing a delicate ring with a dark blue stone in the center. The stone sparkled, giving the impression of an ocean hidden within it.
She handed the ring to Ida. "This ring will prevent your power from harming others. When you wear it, your energy will be contained, allowing you to touch others."
Ida stared at the ring in surprise. "Will it really work?"
Ahu's eyes locked onto Ida's. "Yes. But you can't rely solely on this ring. You need to learn to control your power. The ring will provide balance, but ultimately, the power must be under your control."
With hesitation, Ida slid the ring onto her finger. She felt a slight tremor, which subsided within seconds. A warmth spread through her fingers, as if her power had become manageable.
Ahu watched Ida's expression carefully. "This is just the beginning, Ida. The ring will help you, but you need to come back for check-ups every two weeks. I need to monitor your progress and see how you're developing."
Ida took a deep breath and nodded. "Of course, I'll come. Thank you, Ahu. This means a lot to me."
Batuhan, standing next to his aunt, smiled at Ida. "You're not alone anymore," he said softly. "We're always here for you."
With Batuhan and Ahu by her side, Ida realized she wouldn't have to carry this burden alone. The ring gave her confidence that she wouldn't hurt others. But she knew she had a long way to go. To control her power and confront her darkness, she had much to learn. Yet, with people she could trust by her side, she believed she could succeed.
