Power System: The Aspects of Elarion
In the world of Elarion, all supernatural power originates from Aspects—primordial forces that bond with the soul. When a person awakens, usually between the ages of 15–18, their soul resonates with one of these forces, granting them abilities, transformations, and growth potential.
1. Aspect Awakening Tiers
Power is divided into six main tiers:
Awakened – The first resonance. Core begins forming.
Novice – Core stabilizes. Basic techniques emerge.
Intermediate – Aspects begin to shape body and instincts.
Adept – Techniques deepen. Soul merges further with Aspect.
Grandmaster – Manifestation of raw Aspect force. Unique traits.
Transcendent – Legendary. Those who walk as more than mortal.
2. The Known Aspects
Each Aspect grants unique abilities, divided into two categories: Core Traits and Techniques. Some well-known Aspects include:
Shadow – Stealth, movement, suppression. Inherited by House Valemir.
Scarlet Rot – Graceful decay, regeneration, and corrosion. House Roseria.
Gravity – Spatial manipulation and overwhelming strength. House Gravemarch.
Abyssal Tempest – Chaotic storms and void-fire. House Byle.
Blood – Binding pacts and lifeforce manipulation. House Vortigan (if included).
Death – Rare. Inflicts irreversible destruction on soul and body. Seen in forbidden inheritance trials (like Kaelen's).
Light, Flame, Storm, Beast, Metal, etc. – Minor or scattered aspects.
3. Dual Aspects
Extremely rare. A soul bonded to two aspects is known as Twin-Souled or Marked. Only a handful have ever awakened this way. Dual-Aspected individuals may struggle with balance—or become monstrous if their soul fractures.
4. The Awakened Association
A global order that:
Records awakenings.
Assigns ranks and classifications.
Monitors Gates (dangerous ancient inheritance zones and monster spawns ).
Investigates anomalies, rogue Aspects, and forbidden awakenings.
