Over the next few weeks, I began making small changes.
I applied to a part-time coding boot camp.
I reconnected with my old professor, who offered to help me prep for grad school applications.
I restructured my resume before I even needed it.
And strangely, I started smiling more.
Was it because I knew how bad it could've gone?
Or was it because I had a secret no one else did?
Either way, I stopped sleepwalking through life.
But even second chances come with ghosts.
