Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Kurohane, with the automatic rifle in his hands, no longer bothered to conceal himself. He moved with agility, showcasing his mercilessly lethal shooting skills. Every Ten Rings member foolish enough to peek from behind cover was instantly greeted by a hail of bullets tearing through the air.

In short: showing your head equaled suicide!

Only when Kurohane was reloading his magazine did the Ten Rings members dare to glance from behind their cover. Their return fire, however, more often than not missed its mark by a wide margin; it would have been a miracle if even a single bullet had hit the safely concealed Kurohane.

But when Kurohane reloaded for the second time, a horrifying sight greeted the eyes of the Ten Rings members who attempted to peek: two dark, gaping muzzles of M9 pistols pointed directly at their faces!

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

The deafening sound of rapid-fire shots rang out, like a string of exploding firecrackers. More than a dozen Ten Rings members instantly 'received their bento boxes' – they were dead in an instant. Each bullet struck precisely between their eyebrows, shattering their brains so completely that any hope of revival was extinguished.

This rapid and deadly barrage directly crushed the morale of the remaining Ten Rings members. Even as Kurohane casually, unhurriedly, reloaded his magazine, not a single person dared to poke their body out of hiding to launch a counterattack!

Kurohane's movements appeared effortless and fluid, yet cold sweat soaked his back. He wasn't sure if it was due to the scorching heat of the desert or the adrenaline flooding his body.

The physical condition of the original body's owner before transmigration was surprisingly excellent. He was clearly someone who exercised regularly. Otherwise, it would have been impossible for him to become a S.H.I.E.L.D. Level 3 agent and a member of the field team.

"Ding! Detected Justice Value is full, at 100. Do you wish to initiate the draw?"

"Draw!" Kurohane replied firmly in his mind.

After this bloody round of 'Justice Execution', Kurohane's Justice Value finally sufficed for his second draw. Hiding behind cover, he chose to activate the hard-earned draw opportunity.

Accompanied by a cheap, characteristic sound effect, the large roulette wheel in his mind spun rapidly. A few seconds later, the wheel's pointer stopped on a skill.

[Autumn Mountain Car God]: As long as you are holding the steering wheel, you can chase any vehicle (except Mercedes-Benz)!

Kurohane: (Eyebrows raised, confused expression) "?_?... That Mercedes-Benz... that specific Mercedes-Benz? Can it climb trees?"

So, this 'great' skill on the roulette wheel could only be looked at, not drawn?

However, Kurohane tried to think positively. The [Autumn Mountain Car God] skill was a conceptual skill! If used correctly, it could also be very useful!

It wasn't easy to get a one-hit wonder and draw an SSR-level skill like [Phoenix Force]. This was only his second draw; what else could he expect besides a free conceptual skill!

Iron Monger would appear soon, and his third draw would definitely hit the mark! That guy was much easier to kill than Abomination! As long as he wasn't wearing that armor, one shot would be enough!

While waiting for the main course, Kurohane certainly wouldn't miss his small appetizers! After reloading his magazine, Kurohane continued his plan to collect Justice Value. Throwing two grenades towards the enemy's position, he then poked his body out from behind cover. A moment later, the sounds of gunfire and explosions reverberated in a deafening chaos!!!

...

Tony Stark had endured some tough times in the past three months. After living a life of luxury for almost his entire life, his greatest desire now was to devour a cheeseburger!

Currently, he was wearing the first-generation armor he had cobbled together himself. His body was completely encased within the steel frame. He clenched his fists, anxiously watching the progress bar slowly moving on the outdated monitor.

Almost there, just a little bit more!!!

The Mediterranean man who had been trapped with him in the cave for the past three months, working together to build the armor, was named Yinsen. To buy time, he grabbed an AK47 assault rifle and rushed outside.

Then, the sound of intense gunfire erupted from outside the cave entrance, crackling relentlessly. It sounded like a fierce firefight involving hundreds of people, and even violent explosions could be clearly heard. As a weapons expert, Tony immediately recognized the sounds of anti-tank rocket launchers and exploding grenades!

However, his armor wasn't fully functional yet, and the gunfire outside had already ceased. An eerie silence enveloped the cave. Tony watched as the final segment of the progress bar finally filled up.

This homemade armor finally had the ability to move. He put on the steel mask over his face. With heavy steps, Tony walked towards the cave exit, step by step. The flamethrower on his arm was ready, prepared to serve a makeshift 'barbecue' to any enemies that might appear!

However, outside the cave, all he saw was a pile of enemy corpses and... Yinsen crouching behind a large rock!

Seeing that Yinsen was alright, Tony couldn't help his surprise!

"Yinsen!!! Thank goodness you're safe!" he exclaimed in relief.

"Tony, it seems someone came to rescue us out there. Not a single bad guy managed to get inside this cave. They all seem to be dead at the entrance. Look, they're lying everywhere!" Yinsen scratched his Mediterranean-style hair, pointing towards the cave entrance with his finger.

Tony followed Yinsen's pointed finger and only saw a circle of corpses scattered around. Each corpse had a gunshot wound precisely between the eyebrows, killed with a single accurate shot. This was clearly the work of a professional!

"Wait. I'm already wearing the armor. I'll go out and see for myself first!" Tony still felt doubtful. The Ten Rings group was indeed dead, but there was no guarantee that the person who killed them was a good guy. Maybe they were after him!

With heavy steps, Tony finally stepped out of the cave before his armor's energy ran out. The dazzling sunlight pierced through the gaps in the steel mask, causing Tony to instinctively squint his eyes.

Once his eyes adjusted to the light, Tony saw a horrifying scene: a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood. All the Ten Rings members who had kidnapped him lay lifeless on the ground, all shot precisely between the eyebrows. White brain matter and red blood flowed everywhere. Right where the bodies were most densely clustered, a tall man held an M4A1 assault rifle, checking each corpse one by one. If he found anyone still moving, he would unhesitatingly pull the trigger and finish them off!

This man acted decisively and ruthlessly. He was clearly not a good person!! However, his equipment was standard US Military issue. Even the tactical vest, helmet, and bulletproof vest he wore were special editions for the United States special forces! Tony knew this not because he was particularly knowledgeable, but because all that special edition equipment was Stark Industries products. Its main selling points? Expensive and effective!

Tony aimed the flamethrower on his armor at the man and said in a muffled voice through his mask:

"Hey! Kid over there, who the hell are you?!"

"What's your name, Tony Stark?" the man asked, disregarding the threat before him. Seeing the steel monster appear, he released the pistol in his hand, extended his hand, and removed his helmet and tactical mask, revealing a head of thick black hair. The handsome Eastern face gave Tony a faint smile, then casually tucked his helmet under his arm.

"Introduce yourself. I'm an agent from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. You can call me Kurohane, or just Kuro."

Tony: (Jaw dropped) (That title is so long, there's no way I can remember it!)

However, this person's combat abilities were perhaps even more terrifying than any super soldier he had ever heard of. He single-handedly annihilated a hundred-strong terrorist organization. Could there really be people with superpowers in this world?

"Put down the dangerous weapon in your hand, or I'll arrest you on charges of attempted assault on a United States agent!" Kurohane warned Tony with a sharp gaze, then took out a satellite phone. He dialed his superior at S.H.I.E.L.D., Phil Coulson, and said in a serious tone:

"Report, I've found the missing unfortunate playboy. When you come to pick him up, don't forget to bring two cheeseburgers."

Tony: (Eyes wide, veins bulging on his forehead) (╬ Ò﹏Ó)

Playboy, okay, I'll accept that! But... 'unfortunate man'?! Seriously! Is there any 'unfortunate man' as handsome as me in this world?!
