Chapter 3 - He knows

Lily could feel her soul leave her body, and she broke from the hug. She looked at Lucien, her entire body shivering from what she had just heard, and it was clear that there was no way she would have braced herself for something like that.

Lucien tilted his head to look at her, "Why the surprised look? Did you think that because I haven't seen her I won't know you aren't Vivian?"

Lucien had an evil smile on his face, it was clear that he wasn't going to let her walk out of that freely.

"You don't talk much, do you? Cat got your tongue?" Lucien said mockingly as he took off his suit and placed it on the bed. "You know, I have not seen her before but I heard she had long brown hair, and you have long white hair with strands of black in it."

Lucien turned to look at Lily, she was standing by the door. She couldn't move nor could she think of anything other than the fact that she was not fooling the man in front of her.

Lily knew that staying silent was going to be the end of her. "Why didn't you say anything? How long did you know?" Lily was watching her words, she didn't want to say anything that would make Lucien angrier than he was.

Lucien smiled, he went to a counter in the room that had a silver eagle on it. He opened it and brought out a bottle, he sat down and poured himself a drink.

"Vivian left the city last night, when one of my closest advisors saw her he alerted me saying that the Forgers were not going to show up for the wedding. I wanted to have a good enough reason to kill them, so I went to the venue and played along." Lucien took a sip from the cup, he didn't avert his gaze from Lily, he was looking at her trying to find out what she was going to do.

"I was shocked when I saw you and your family walk in but then I was a bit shocked. I wondered who it was I was going to marry since Vivian had run away. Then you were under the vile, I smiled seeing it and I wanted to know what you had in mind. Now tell me… Lily, how are you going to fix this problem of yours," Lucien said taking another sip of his drink, looking at her.

Lily's face went pale when Lucien called her name, he knew her name and he also knew when Vivna left the city.

Lily knew that if she was going to make a move or even look for a way to plead for her freedom.

"What are you going to do to my family?" Lily could only ask, she was looking at Lucien, and he was still sipping on his drink. When she asked the question, hearing her ask that question he dropped the cup.

He got up and walked towards her, leaning close to her ears he whispered. "I am going to burn down their house with them inside it."

"No!" Lily said in fear, she turned to look at Lucien. She could see the sinister look on his face, she knew that she was truly dealing with a devil.

"No? So I should make them pay for trying to deceive me?" Lucien was looking at Lily, he grabbed her shoulders pressing her down.

"Your family played a fool out of me, using you to make it look like you were Vivian, and you played along. Now I have caught up to you all, you want me to let it go? Someone has to be punished! And I will make sure that no other person will think of playing games with me!" Lucien yelled in rage, he was not going to let anything keep him from setting things right.

Lily knew that if she didn't do anything to stop him then it would mean that he was going to kill her uncle and aunt. "Punish me!"

Lucien paused when he heard her, he was a bit shocked and he was not sure he had heard correctly.

"What did you say?" Lucien asked her to reconfirm that he had heard correctly.

Lily swallowed hard when she heard his question, she knew that he was not going to let her go easily so she wanted to be sure that she would be able to get him to punish her instead of her family.

"You're looking for someone to pin the blame on and someone to punish, punish me. It was my idea to fool you and I wanted to make sure that there was no problem for them at the wedding." Lily looked at Lucien, she could see that he had a smile on his face.

"What are you saying? You will take whatever punishment it is I would give you?" Lucien looked at her, he smiled when he saw that she was standing up to him.

Lily's body was shaking, she was not sure if she was going to be able to handle the torment going to come from the man in front of her but she knew that it was going to be either that or her family would be killed.

Lily folded her hands, took one deep breath she locked eyes with the man standing before her. "I will take your punishment and I will be fine."

Lucien walks up to her with a smile on his face, he takes her hands and leads her to the bed. Pinning her down he looks her in the eye.

"A sharp mouth for one so delicate, but since you want to show you have grit. You should know that you are my property now, you can't go anywhere without telling me, you can't make friends, and you can't die without letting me know. Do I make myself clear wildflower?"

Lily swallowed softly, she knew that she was in his territory and the wrong words might be the end of her. "Yes sir,"

Lucien smiled when he got her response, he knew that there was no way she would be leaving the house.

"To make things Clear my little wild flower," Lucien pulled out a dagger from the back of his pocket. He tore up the wedding dress, he was going to make sure that he would let her know she was now his property.

Lily closed her eyes bracing herself for whatever it was he was going to do to her. She could feel his hand slipping down into her undergarment.

"Hmmm.." Lily bit her lips, she didn't want to fight back knowing that her life was at stake.

Lucien smirked when he saw her reactions, he expected her to be more aggressive.

"What if you act like you haven't felt a man's touch in your life? Or are you secretly enjoying it?!" Lucien smiled trying to break Lily, he could see that she was in a vulnerable state.

Lily, trying to fight back her urge to push him off, looked at him. "Well, I haven't, sorry if that bursts your bubble."

Lucien's smile disappeared when he heard what she said, he pulled away from her. He looked her in the eye, and all he could see was a girl who was scared for her life.

Lucien cleared his throat, and he put his dagger back in his pocket. "You will be staying in this room, it's our room. I wouldn't want Granny to think there is a problem between us, ignore the other family members Granny Ophelia is the only one who has the right to boss you around. You listen to her and me," Lucien put on his suit, his face was a bit irritated.

"I will send for someone to get you new clothes and the things you need, I will see you tomorrow." Lucien put on his suit and left the room, leaving Lily to wonder what was wrong.

Lily took a deep breath and let it out, she was terrified that Lucien would kill her after he was done with her.

She got up from the bed and went to her phone to see that there was a message on it.

It read, 'Congratulations on your wedding, Meet me tomorrow at Sunlit Cafe by 1:35 pm. Don't be late.'

"Finally," Lily muttered as she sat down on the ground thinking about what could have happened to her.
