Strong friendship

Life is enjoyable if you truly put hope and trust in things that can make you happy. Sometimes just looking around and joining random activities can make you happy, or so I thought. I look in front of me, then sigh.

The club's speech is getting more and more boring as the leader of the club hasn't finished her speech for over 3 hours now. One could never know how she can keep speaking about her whole life; at this point, she should write a novel instead of running a club. Guess what club it is? The Heartbreak Club. I don't even know how the college approved this kind of club, but I still joined this club for the tea, but the tea apparently was just some typical break-up situation- lost feelings or cheating, then learn to let go. I expected it to be obsessed with partner-type things, but apparently that's just some drama fiction now. As I was looking around, it surprised me how there were over 30 people here, especially males.

"Crazy," I mumble as I look at one of the male members sitting in the front row, literally crying while hearing her story.

"Even crazier is the fact that you're here," a familiar voice whispers, which manages to grab my attention. I look to my left and notice him.

"Hayden." I looked at him in disbelief. The fact that I'm here is reasonable, but the fact that Hayden Zayne Blaine is here is unusual; I almost think this is an illusion.

"I'm not an illusion," he smirks as he knows what I'm thinking. He leans back in his seat while putting his leg on the table, grabbing the attention of some members around us, but they just ignore it after looking at him. After all, this is very normal behavior for him.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm heartbroken."

"What?" I looked at him curiously as one of my eyebrows raised a little as my face moved closer to him.

"Not exactly for a person," he pushes my face gently.

"For a ghost?"

"I lost my future career." His words make me look at his injured leg. He has a broken right leg, and apparently, because of an accident, he also lost his older brother, who drove him to the tournament that time. He noticed the silence, which made him speak,

"Nah, actually, because I heard you joined this club."

"Huh, you stalking me now?"

"Erie, I'm going to leave college. I can't continue my course anymore." He stared at my face as he was hoping for me to be sad about it, but honestly, I didn't think much since leaving college is a pretty common thing to do, either to join another course from another college or to be tired of college.

" What would you do later on?" My question makes him think for a minute, then smile gently

"Became a detective," he patted my shoulder, then left the club.

" Take care, don't miss me! " he screamed outside of the classroom

" As if," I mumble to myself

.

Miss him my ass even until now I'm still stuck with him. People always said that apart from each other will ruin a friendship by losing contact and then to the point forgetting about each other, but Hayden and I weren't in that case because until now we haven't lost contact since he always finds a reason to meet me. Back then, he would always ask me to hang out with him because he needed some motivation with stressful exams and classes from the police academy-been wondering why he never contacted anyone else, but as he said, 'his other friends are always busy dating their girls'

Now we rarely hang out since I'm a doctor, so I'm extremely busy, but we still met up because he's visiting me at the hospital after interrogating patients, or sometimes he was the one getting hurt. Even after years, there's no way he won't bother me. I guess this friendship will last longer than I thought it would be.
