Alexis pov
I head out of the house and start heading towards the school thinking about my mom and how tried she looks even now after she stopped drinking, I think about the bastard that caused her to become like this, I think about our situation and I know that my mom doesn't want me to work but I know that we need the money because what she got is running out and the child support that we got ended a couple of months ago.
I have started working part time at a gym to help out since my mom only gets temporary jobs to pay bills, my aunt Risa knows that o work there and she understands why I do, I sometimes get free training in may tai while I'm there as well. I shake off such thoughts as I get to the school and walk through the front gates and head towards my first class of the day, as I am walking down the hallway I hear people talking and laughing I ignore them and keep walking, I get to my class and ait down as I am sitting there I see a girl named Amara who was once my close friend until she found out who my father is then she changed and became hostile towards me, she looks and then whispers something to the other girls sitting around her and they start to giggle and look over at me as well.
I look away from them and look up at the blackboard waiting for the class to start, the bell rings just as the teacher walks into the room she walks over to blackboard and starts talking about our exams that are coming up in a couple of months, I tune out what she is saying because I feel confident in passing my exams while I'm sitting there I start to think about my mom and wonder how her job search is going and I hope her and my aunt are finding something that she would enjoy working at.
My first class continues on like normal the following classes goes by just as quick and soon it is getting close to our lunch hour and I'm thinking about what I will get for lunch and where I will eat it since I do not get along with any of my classmates, as the bell rings for lunch I get up and head out to grab my lunch after I grab it I head to one of the deserted classrooms to eat it, when I get there I see Amara and two of her friends standing in the hallway I briefly wonder why they are standing there I decide to just ignore them and start to head in, I hear Amara say " look at the fallen princess she must have spread her legs to get a guys to buy her that food" I stop and look at her "you shouldn't say something without knowing what your talking about" i tell her, After I say that I see her face turn into a snarl "you and your whore mother are just pathetic since she couldn't keep her husband maybe it because she was sleeping around" she half yells at me.
When i hear what she say I can feel my rage bubbling up " you should take that back" I tell her with rage in my voice "why should I? What can you do about it" she questioned, I hear her questions then I black out when I come to I am standing over her and her friends, they look bloody and they look fearfully at me from the ground my knuckles feel sore so I look down at them and see that they are bleeding a little bit, I take a deep breath to try and calm my nerves while I'm doing that I can also hear people heading towards us.
I look down the hallway and see one of the teacher being guided over by some of the other students when they get closer to us " what happened here?" The teacher asked us we all look at each other and do not say a word "well if you do not want to tell me maybe you will tell the principal what occurred here" the teacher retorts she gestured for the three to get off the floor and then for all four of us to follow her, as we start walking I notice that the other two girls are keeping a little distance between them and Amara,
We walk to the principal office and the teacher tells us to wait outside then she heads into the office, about five minutes go by then the teacher comes out and we hear the principal call us into the office. " well I am not sure exactly what happened here hopefully you all will tell me what's going on" Mr sanders asks us after we sit down, I look down at my hands and take a deep breath before explaining what had happened from my point of view after I'm done talking the other girls tell their side of the story, finally Mr sanders looks at Amara waiting to hear what she has to say about what happened she has been looking down this entire time while we were talking after the principal clears his throat does she look up and start explaining what happened.
Mr sanders rubs his forehead than looks at us each in turn before say " well with what I have been told I am going to have to call all of your parents and have them come and get you " he reaches over to his phone and starts calling our parents well he is doing that I look down at my hands again wondering what my mom will think about this when she finds out and how upset she will be.
