Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: A Vanity Satisfied

Grayson and the other two returned to campus and went to class.

After class, they flowed out of the teaching building with the crowd.

"Hey, Grayson!" Suddenly a female student called out to him. "Grayson, you still haven't followed me, have you?"

"Follow you?" Grayson blinked in bewilderment.

"Aiya, I just started a live stream channel. Yesterday when I was streaming, all our classmates came to support me and followed me. I checked—I don't think you've followed me yet! Go sign up for an account and follow me, okay?"

The girl was none other than Lexi, the famously busty beauty of their class.

Lexi wasn't only pretty with an ample chest—more importantly, her skin was flawless, smooth as if airbrushed by Photoshop, without a single blemish.

"Lexi, why ask him to follow you? You don't seriously like him, do you?" another girl asked, brimming with gossip.

"How could I!?" Lexi stomped her foot and lowered her voice. "I only just started livestreaming—another follower means more popularity! That's why I asked him to follow me. How could I like him? Don't slander me!"

"Whether he follows you or not, does one fan really matter?" a different girl interjected. "He's dirt-poor and will never send you any gifts or donations. What use is a fan like that?"

That girl was Sienna, who didn't even glance at Grayson.

"Sienna's right. Lexi, didn't you already have that big spender silentG?" another girl chimed in. "With silentG protecting you, you'll quickly become a popular streamer!"

"Yeah, yeah—silentG tipped you over ten thousand yesterday, didn't he? Wow, I'm so jealous!"

"Lexi is amazing."

"Pretty faces sure help—Lexi's gorgeous and busty; no wonder silentG dotes on her so much."

A circle of girls surrounded Lexi, chattering excitedly about the mysterious silentG, showering her with envy and praise. Lexi smiled, basking in their admiration. In an instant, she became the center of attention.

Sienna stood nearby, her face clouding over. Yes—she was jealous.

She envied that Lexi had received over ten thousand dollars in tips from that silentG overnight.

She envied that Lexi was now the crowd's focus, the object of everyone's envy.

Sienna's jealousy wasn't just due to her personality—it was because she believed she wasn't any less than Lexi! Though her bust wasn't as large, she too was the kind of slender vixen with a perfect figure and long legs whose glances could send a flock of men into a swoon.

Girls love vanity. Who doesn't want to be the center of attention?

So watching Lexi treated like a star, of course Sienna felt aggrieved.

Just then, a white Volkswagen Passat drove against the flow of students up to the teaching building's front. It was peak dismissal time, so the other students had to step aside.

The Passat stopped at the steps, and a young man stepped out of the car.

"Darling!"

The young man wore a light-blue suit—it was Sebastian Lowe again.

Seeing Lowe, Sienna's face lit up and she leapt down the steps, sprinted over, and threw herself into his arms, wrapping her own around his neck. Many students turned to watch—after all, not many could afford a Passat.

In that moment, Sienna's vanity was utterly satisfied. Look at her boyfriend driving up to pick her up—what an honor!

Hmph, breaking up with that loser Grayson had been the best decision. Could that pauper ever have brought her such glory? Could he ever fulfill her like this? Grayson was good only for boosting follower counts as a pathetic fan.

Letting Lowe carry her into the car, Sienna sat back, brimming with superiority as she surveyed the other students.

"Darling, you're amazing. Is this car yours?" she asked, stroking the brand-new interior.

"I just bought it. From now on, I'll pick you up in this car, okay, baby?" Lowe rubbed the steering wheel with one hand while his other hand wandered across Sienna's body.

"That's wonderful!"

Sienna was ecstatic. From now on, Lowe would drive her everywhere—she'd be the center of attention again, the envy of everyone! Far better than Lexi!

"Let's go have dinner. After that, we'll do something fun, okay?"

Lowe's hand wasn't behaving itself, sliding across Sienna's thigh. He really lived up to his reputation as "prince of the history department" and a seasoned Casanova. He'd been coveting Sienna's beauty and figure for a while, but since he hadn't taken her from Grayson until now, they hadn't become intimate. So today he splurged on a Passat.

From Sienna's reaction, it was money well spent!

"Mmm," Sienna nodded shyly. She was more than pleased with Sebastian's performance today, and her heart swelled with satisfaction—after all, he had made her shine, eclipsing Lexi's moment in the sun. And all this happened right in front of Grayson.

Somehow, ever since she broke up with Grayson, Sienna wanted nothing more than to see him humiliated. If he reacted calmly, she'd be upset. If he showed anger, jealousy, or pain, she'd feel even better.

Tonight, Sienna was thrilled, and of course she fulfilled all of Sebastian's wishes.

"Darling, where are we going to eat?" Sienna asked.

"We're here." Lowe said, and the car came to a stop.

Stepping out and looking up, Sienna's eyes grew wide. She jumped in disbelief, "This is… Michelin?!"

A three-star Michelin restaurant—truly the pinnacle of luxury.

"Come on in. I booked us a table—table six."

Seeing Sienna on the verge of fainting with excitement, Lowe felt even more that his extravagance was justified. To be honest, though he was a second-generation rich kid, this was his first time at a Michelin. He'd bought the new car today and booked this table—all to win Sienna's heart.

"Wow, darling, this is so luxurious!"

Standing before table six, Sienna's eyes sparkled. Table six was in the center, with a half-height screen isolating it from the other tables—a clear mark of distinction. The dining hall had around fifty tables, but only five were semi-private. Eating at a Michelin restaurant was already no small feat; getting such a premium seating — Sienna's vanity ballooned even more.

The chair at table six looked like a throne, complete with armrests and carved wood—a seat fit for nobility.

"Are you Mr. Lowe?"

A server in a crisp vest and suit approached.

"Yes," Lowe answered proudly.

Honestly, he hadn't expected table six to be so deluxe, even though he'd reserved it over the phone. He thought to himself: Michelin isn't that expensive after all—if I can afford this, I can afford the regular tables next time and save some money. But now he felt a pang of regret: if he'd known how luxe this table was, he'd have booked a cheaper one and achieved the same effect for less money. After all, dining at a Michelin is what counts.

The server professionally set out the silverware.

"Wow, it's all silver!" Sienna gushed. In front of her lay a silver charger plate, silver knife and fork, and a placemat threaded with silver wire—tools fit for royalty.

Moreover, table six had its own dedicated attendant standing ready—another mark of the diners' prestige. Other tables lacked exclusive servers.

The courses arrived one by one. A hallmark of Michelin style: modest portions, but each dish exquisitely crafted, presented on plates of stunning artistry and ingenuity.

It was Sienna's first time enjoying such cuisine. As she ate, she gazed at Lowe with tender affection.

Midway through the meal, four musicians entered: one saxophonist, two violinists, and an accordionist, all clad in black tailcoats. They came to the table and began performing gentle, flowing jazz.

This elegant dining environment, the sublime food, and the live performance—it was an utterly exquisite experience! Patrons around them cast envious glances at Sienna. And Sienna herself was amazed by this surprise—this was the pinnacle of life: a live band serenading her dinner! Straight out of a movie scene!

"Darling, I'm so happy. I'm truly the luckiest woman in the world!" Sienna cooed sweetly to Lowe.

At that moment, Sienna's vanity was sated to the fullest. Hmph—thank goodness she dumped that loser Grayson. No amount of effort from him could ever have gotten her into a Michelin restaurant, let alone such a prime table…
