Chapter 6 - Chapter 86: Arrival at Spirit City

Liu Erlong instinctively glanced at the dress she was wearing, and thought of Zhao Ling, who had bought the outfit for her. Her pretty face couldn't help but turn slightly red.

However, thinking of how Zhao Ling didn't get along well with the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, and how her father was the type who would risk his life to uphold the family's interests…

She knew she couldn't tell her father about her relationship with Zhao Ling. So, she responded with a dissatisfied huff:

"Father, I was just bored being home alone, so I went out for a little trip. I saw some beautiful clothes and bought a few sets. Why are you so angry?"

Yu Luomian originally wanted to scold his daughter for fooling around—she had gone out for over a week without telling him.

But in the end, he held back and let out a soft sigh. He knew that Liu Erlong, being his illegitimate daughter, could not be acknowledged by the clan or return to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan.

Her mother had passed away early, and the only person she could rely on was him. Yet, he had to manage both family and clan affairs.

She was the only one living in this big house, so it was natural for her to feel lonely and want to go out for fun. He really had no right to stop her.

So, he didn't question her further. After briefly scanning her up and down, he nodded and said:

"Hmm, this outfit suits you well. Much better than the plain blue skirts you used to wear. It must've been expensive, huh?"

After speaking, Yu Luomian casually set down the watering can and pulled out a black card from his storage soul tool, handing it to Liu Erlong.

"Here, daughter. Take this—just spend it however you like…"

Liu Erlong took the card without hesitation. After all, it would be a waste not to take her father's money—and if she didn't, it would only benefit her older brother.

Taking the card, Liu Erlong headed into the house on her own. She hadn't eaten yet and planned to cook something simple.

Once she finished cooking, she sat down to dig in. But then, she saw her father return from watering the flowers, sitting down with a worried look on his face and letting out a sigh.

Liu Erlong looked confused—she had obediently come back home, so why did her father still look so troubled? Could something have happened with the clan?

Curious, Liu Erlong glanced at her father and teased:

"Father, what's wrong? You look so worried. Did something upset you? Tell me so I can enjoy your misery."

"..." Yu Luomian was momentarily speechless. What did she mean "tell me your misfortunes so I can be happy"?Wasn't a daughter supposed to be her father's warm little coat? His coat had serious holes in it…

He shot her a glare but didn't argue. Instead, he sighed, "It's your two cousins. They're giving me a headache."

The moment she heard it was about her cousins, Liu Erlong immediately recalled the scene of Zhao Ling pressing their heads to the ground in submission—it was brutal.

Still, she didn't think Zhao Ling was in the wrong. On the contrary, she thought he did a great job.

After all, she never considered herself part of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. She simply shared their bloodline but had never received any care from those two cousins.

In contrast, Zhao Ling had given her 30 more years of life and slowed her aging by 10%.

He treated her well, bought her delicious food, fun trinkets, and beautiful clothes—so of course, she was on his side.

So Liu Erlong showed a look of interest. While eating heartily, she looked at her father with curiosity:

"What happened to those two cousins of mine? Father, hurry up and tell me. I'm all ears."

Seeing how excited his daughter looked, Yu Luomian didn't even know what to say. But eventually, he told her that Yu Xiaolong had become mentally disabled, and Yu Xiaogang had been sentenced to ten years of imprisonment.

Liu Erlong's eyes widened in disbelief. "He became a fool? But… back then, I didn't see—"

She was going to say that Zhao Ling didn't seem to use much force, so how did her cousin suddenly become an idiot? Was he really that fragile?

But then she saw her father's odd expression and quickly shut her mouth—lest he give her a beating.

The thought of Yu Xiaolong turning into an idiot and Yu Xiaogang being imprisoned for ten years made her want to laugh out loud. If her father weren't present, she probably would've burst into laughter on the spot.

As it was, she struggled to hold it in and ended up choking on her food, coughing several times.

Yu Luomian was baffled—why did his daughter suddenly start choking like that? He just couldn't figure it out.

Two days later, Zhao Ling, Ah Yin, and the people from Spirit Hall finally arrived at Spirit City.

Zhao Ling lifted the curtain and curiously looked out at the bustling streets.

Ah Yin's beautiful eyes were dazzled by the endless array of people, goods, and dazzling storefronts.

"Wow, hubby, this place is so… big~"

Cough cough cough! Zhao Ling immediately choked on her words and responded awkwardly:

"You silly girl, always spouting nonsense. I know your husband is very well-endowed, but is that something you can just say out loud in public? Didn't you see your sister Dong'er's face turn red?"

Ah Yin blushed deeply and rolled her eyes at Zhao Ling in embarrassment.

"I was talking about Spirit City! Not you! Can you please behave for once and stop twisting my words?"

"Well, who told you to be so vague? Now you're blaming me for not being serious?" Zhao Ling shot back confidently. He then groped Bibi Dong while continuing slyly:

"Dong'er, tell me—did Ah Yin or did she not just say your husband has great assets? I didn't wrong her, right?"

Bibi Dong was completely confused. Why did the question land on her? This had nothing to do with her! She was still a pure maiden, and yet Zhao Ling was saying such things in front of her. How could that be appropriate?

Feeling Zhao Ling's increasingly shameless gaze, Bibi Dong blushed deeply and simply leaned her head against Zhao Ling's chest, pretending to fall asleep.

Since she didn't respond, Zhao Ling didn't push her. He turned his attention back outside, watching the bustling streets with emotion.

Although he had transmigrated to the Douluo Continent for over ten years, this was his first time visiting such a grand city as Spirit City.

He estimated that Spirit City's population was in the millions.

That kind of scale might not compare to the mega-cities on Blue Star, where the population easily reached tens of millions.

But for the Douluo Continent, a city with millions of people was already extraordinary. Across the whole continent, there were probably only three such cities…
