Chapter 1 - I’m trapped in TBATE?

Bright light forced its way past my eyelids, the warm sensation of the midday sun washed over my skin. I could feel that my body had become a little too warm beneath my blanket, but the position I was currently in was much too comfortable to move from. I rolled away from my window and pulled the covers over my head, slowly regretting it as the heat began to grow.

Heaving a big sigh I tossed off the blanket and finally opened my eyes where I expected to see my ceiling fan, which I still could, but something else was there too.

I blinked several times at the… screen? My mouth opening and closing as I tried to process what I had just read.

"What the fuck is The Beginning After The End?" Isn't that the name of that anime everyone is hating on right now, I had watched the first episode when it came out but I wasn't a fan of the animation. And why do I get stuck with a "hard" difficulty world? Pokémon is right there as Easy! Send me there!

My vision began narrowing until everything was black until a small bit of light illuminated in front of me. Another message from the screen appeared in front of me, almost mockingly.

{Situation is due to Subject's failure to respond. Try not to sleep so much in your next life you lazy bum.}

"What the—.."

I didn't even get to finish as I lost consciousness, my whole mind becoming numb as the darkness filled my vision.

It wasn't long until I woke up again, this time the light burned and blurred my vision. My body was sensitive and every little movement felt brand new. My hearing was muffled, but I could hear a voice faintly as my vision cleared.

"Congratulations Sir and Madam, they are both healthy boys."

Internally I was still reeling with what the screen had told me before being brought here and could only curse myself for sleeping in all the time. How was I supposed to know that when I finally got the chance to go to the world of Pokémon, I would sleep through it?! Now I'm the twin brother of a ruthless king reincarnated into a world of magic. I don't have any skills that could help me here… Not unless a lazy highschool graduate that was living off inheritance was something this world required.

But from the very little I remembered from the first episode I did not have rich parents. Thankfully once being reincarnated Arthur didn't seem that ruthless anymore either so hopefully as long as I keep some distance he won't see me as someone to take out.

My negative thoughts cleared with my vision as I took in the sight of my parents and my king twin brother. The man was standing off to one side with shining eyes as he looked down at us. He had blue eyes and ashen brown hair that he kept short, but he looked a lot manlier than i could recall. He was built like a football player, a strong, fit physique and he radiated a protective personality.

Looking to the one that was holding me I found brown eyes and auburn hair. Her entire being seemed to be made to be a mother. A calmness and kindness in her gaze set my mind at ease and I began to think that maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

"Hi boys, I'm your daddy, can you say dada?" The man asked in a voice that people usually use for babies. I almost found myself laughing at the fact he was doing that to a 19 year old and someone who was old enough to be a king in his world.

"Honey, they were just born." My mother rolled her eyes and scoffed as she restated us in her arms. Likely trying to get comfortable after the exhausting process of giving birth to twins.

In the coming weeks I was refreshed on the names of my parents. My father being Reynolds Leywin and my mother being Alice Leywin. In these weeks a lot of embarrassing moments took place that I have been doing my best to forget. A lot of things suck when you're a baby, but there was one thing that wasn't so bad. I was able to continue my lazy lifestyle as we were expected to sleep a bunch as babies. Even Arthur with kingly discipline was sleeping nearly as much as me… nearly.

But it wasn't long until that changed… The day that Arthur began crawling.
