The wind howled like a wounded beast across the endless white. Kai stares through his door wondering where his house went. Instead he was staring at a frozen tundra. It looked like it stretched out to nothing but more and more snowy plains.
Kai:(thoughts) Wait, is this a door?
Kai stared through the door to the snowy plains, his heart trembled knowing that this made his dad go missing. Curiosity filled his being as he continued to stare into the door. A mixture of anger and fear inside the boy were directed towards the mysterious door.
Kai:(thoughts) So this is what took my happiness away. Why did it appear here of all places though? I guess I'll have a look, not like I'm going back to sleep after this.
Kai puts on some sandals in his room, not thinking of going far into the door. He takes the first step into the door. The cold air stings his skin as if a bucket of acid was launched onto him. He walks in with his arms clenching around the sides of his triceps, trying hard to conserve the heat in his body.
Slam!
He turns around, his heart almost skips a beat as he notices the door is closed. He instantly reaches for it trying to open it. His efforts are found to be useless as the door doesn't budge one bit.
Kai:(thoughts) Shitshitshit! I'm stuck here.
He falls to his knees looking up and banging at the door. Suddenly as if it was never there, it vanished. A sense of despair flooded his being to the core.
Kai:(thoughts) I can't go missing, I need to stay with mom. F*CKF*CKF*CK!
Determination is now visible in him as he stands up, looking around himself the entire area was similar to a plain area with slight hills but instead of the comforting green, white stretched out with no visible end.
Kai:(thoughts) Where do I even go? Do I just start walking? Well, staying here won't help.
He thinks to himself as he begins to move in a random direction he decided on.
2 hours later.
Kai glances down at his watch, time still moves in the door. He mentally notes that though it won't really help him that much.
He had been walking around for sometime in the door, there was still no sign of anything around him. His feet burned but he continued moving. His body shivered uncontrollably, he knew he was probably about to die.
Kai:(thoughts) I can't die here or now. I have to keep moving.
Suddenly his legs stopped working, he fell onto his knees and next his entire body, he was now laying face down in the snow.
Kai:(thoughts) Get up! Get up! GET UP!
His efforts were futile as his body refused to move. It was as if he was trapped in his own body. His vision began fading as he tried with full effort to not lose consciousness.
Kai:(thoughts) I can't die here, not now!
As his vision went dark.
[Ding! You have met the conditions to activate the system.]
His eyes opened in slits, he had zero idea how much time had passed, he was still in the snow but all the aching had disappeared, his body was completely warm as if he wasn't laying in snow. He looks at his watch and a wave of confusion passes through him. He had been out for 5 hours and he wasn't dead.
[Hello Kai Soren! You're awake now, that's good. You have activated the system after meeting the conditions to.]
Kai stands up looking around, confused and on alert.
Kai:(thoughts) Where did that voice come from? What system? Condition?
Multiple questions flooded his mind as he looked around for the voice that just spoke to him.
[It seems you are still in shock and confusion, let me introduce myself, I am your system. I am here to help you on a journey. To be the strongest? To find your father? Whatever it is you may need, I will help you with it.]
Kai's eyes widened at the mention of his father.
Kai: How do you know my father? Tell me now!
[Your level is still too low to comprehend the information.]
Anger rose from the deepest part of Kai due to the confusion and stress of being left in the dark. He was so close to knowing about his father but still so far.
Kai: Tell me now! How do you know my father!
[I'm sorry Kai but that information is locked behind multiple restrictions, I can not tell you until you're strong enough. My Apologies.]
The voice similar to an online AI helper spoke, changing its tone to match the mood.
Kai: Then why are you here?

Kai says, in a slightly annoyed voice not expecting much. He looks around.

Kai is interrupted by a large blue game like interface appearing in front of his face. He stays silent, confused and amazed.

Kai has many questions but he holds them back for now.

A smaller blue interface got rid of the larger stat window, it read.

Kai stared in confusion at the system window.
[I'm here to guide you. Ask me anything.]
Kai: How do I get out of here then?
[I can't help you with that directly, but I can guide you to where you have to go. Head to the Castle of the Ice Goblins, Directly right of where you are.]
Kai:(thoughts) Ice Goblins?
The system as if seemingly reading his mind it follows up.
[The key to getting out is in the castle, though there will be enemies up ahead. Steel your resolve before you go. I can not help you physically but I can guide you.]
Kai lets out a breath the air around his mouth visibly cold.
Kai: I have no other choice, If that's my way out, then that's where I'll head. To the Caste of the Ice Goblins.
