Chapter 14 - Episode 13:Threads of flame

—A fight isn't always about fists. Sometimes, it's about the truth hidden in your blood.

Scene 1 – Arena, Midday Sun

The crowd buzzed. Two matches. Same stage.

But everyone watched Jin Hoshin.

On one side stood Xie Luan, cold-eyed and unreadable.

On the other, Jin… his fingers twitching, the black flame dancing playfully in his palm.

> "You ready?" Xie asked.

> "Nope," Jin grinned. "But let's do this anyway."

Scene 2 – The Match Begins

Xie moved first—quick, sharp, precise.

Wind slashes curved through the air like blades.

Jin dodged effortlessly, laughing. "Didn't know you were trying to cut my hair, Lu!"

But then—Jin's flame moved on its own. It blocked the wind.

It laughed again.

> "That's not normal," Xie muttered.

> Jin's smile dropped. "Tell me about it…"

Scene 3 – Flashback Within Battle (Jin's Memory Fragment)

He saw a vision.

A temple.

A man with mismatched eyes. Laughing.

"You'll make the gods cry someday, my boy."

Then a woman screaming. Chains. Flames.

"Run, Jin. Never let them know who your father is."

Scene 4 – Match Interrupted

Suddenly, a divine seal on Jin's body glowed violently—burning symbols on his neck and chest.

Teachers jumped.

"STOP THE MATCH!"

Too late.

A gust of divine wind exploded, knocking everyone back.

Jin stood in the center—his flame calm again, whispering in his voice:

> "You're not ready… but he's watching now."

Scene 5 – Aftermath

Yooha, from the sidelines, stared at him with new eyes.

Xie Luan looked conflicted.

Bo Lang clapped. "Dude, you nearly blew up half the arena!"

Jin, quiet now, said softly to himself:

> "Dad… are you testing me?"
