Chapter 2 - Encounter

Pyre was wandering through a lush green forest that seemed to be full of life, trying to find a good spot to camp out, at least for now, where he hopefully wouldn't get attacked by wild animals. Pyre wasn't in any designated camping spots. Rather, he was in the wilderness where he'd felt he would feel the most free and alive, where he could calm the absolute craving for freedom.

It hadn't taken Pyre long to find a nice spot to camp out. It was beside a calm clear river. While he could probably find fruits easily enough, hunting, cleaning and cooking meat would be the hard part, since he hadn't known the first thing about hunting, much less preparing raw ingredients. Pyre did have a guide with him with instructions in case he couldn't get cell service, so he figured he'd be alright for a while, unless something were to happen to his little survival book.

It wasn't like he was going to hunt anything big anyway. He'd spent a couple of nights out here already, enjoying the fresh air and all the sounds, such as birds chirping, the sounds of animals moving about in the distance, the feel of the fresh natural breeze blowing through the trees, and especially the occasional howling.

Though, as tempted as Pyre was to howl in response, he did not howl back. On the third night, being the night owl he was, he wandered deeper into the woods a little ways away from my camping spot. Suddenly, hearing growling and snarling, he ducked down quickly, using the bushes to mask his scent as much as he could.

Luckily, he was downwind, peering over the bushes to see what was going on. Pyre saw someone aiming what looked to be some sort of gun at a wolf of silver-looking fur that seemed rather large. Its face scrunched up in a snarl, though he had no clue how big wolves actually looked, so as far as he was concerned, this wolf was a normal size. Without even thinking, he rammed his body into the guy who'd aimed the gun at the wolf before he could shoot again.

"Last, I checked this isn't a hunting area. Why are you hunting such animals here? If you left it alone, it'd leave you alone you piece of garbage." Pyre grumbled, ripping the gun from the man's hands and snapping it over his knee and tossing it to the man. "Get out of here. Next time you want to hunt something big, stay in a hunting area." Pyre told him as he heard a whimper followed by a thud.

Turning Pyre saw the wolf had collapsed. It was bleeding a bit, uncaring about the guy behind him, whom Pyre wanted so badly to punch, but didn't think he really had the time. Since he couldn't pick up the beast, Pyre decided to make something to heave it onto and push it to his camp. He knew the dangers of helping such a magnificent and gorgeous creature as this, but hoped it'd think that he'd saved its life.
