Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Unlikely protagonist

In the bustling hallways of Kujou High School, a sea of students rushed to their next class, each with their own story to tell. Among them was Kaito Yamato, a transfer student who had recently joined the school. With his messy brown hair and unassuming demeanor, Kaito blended into the crowd effortlessly.

As he navigated the unfamiliar corridors, Kaito stumbled upon Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, the girl who had captured the attention of many students with her striking silver hair and captivating smile. She was chatting with her friends, her laughter echoing through the hallway.

Kaito watched from a distance, intrigued by Alya's vibrant personality. He had heard rumors about her tendency to make flirtatious comments in Russian, and he couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to converse with her in her native language.

As fate would have it, Kaito's next class was in the same room as Alya's. He took his seat, trying to go unnoticed, but Alya's gaze drifted towards him. Their eyes met, and she flashed a bright smile.

"Konnichiwa," she said, her voice cheerful.

Kaito responded with a nod, "Konnichiwa."

Alya's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "You're new here, right? I'm Alya."

"Kaito Yamato," he replied, his tone neutral.

As the class began, Kaito found himself drawn to Alya's energetic personality. He couldn't help but steal glances at her, admiring the way her silver hair shone in the light.

During the break, Alya approached Kaito, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Kaito-kun, do you understand Russian?"

Kaito's heart skipped a beat. "A little," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

Alya's smile grew wider. "Really? I love speaking Russian. It's so much more expressive than Japanese."

Kaito's eyes locked onto hers, and he felt a sense of excitement wash over him. "I think it's beautiful," he said, his voice filled with genuine enthusiasm.

Alya's cheeks flushed, and she looked away, her silver hair falling like a curtain over her face. "You're kind, Kaito-kun," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

As the break ended, Kaito couldn't help but feel a sense of connection with Alya. He didn't know what the future held, but he was eager to find out.

The rest of the day passed in a blur, with Kaito's mind preoccupied by thoughts of Alya. He wondered what it would be like to get to know her better, to understand the intricacies of her personality, and to see beyond her flirtatious facade.

As he walked home from school, Kaito couldn't shake off the feeling that his life was about to take an unexpected turn. Little did he know, his encounter with Alya would be the start of a journey that would change him forever.

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the city. Kaito walked, lost in thought, his heart beating with anticipation. He didn't know what the future held, but he was ready to face it head-on.

As he turned the corner, Kaito caught a glimpse of Alya walking in the distance. She was alone, her silver hair shining in the fading light. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should approach her.

But something about her demeanor caught his attention. She seemed lost in thought, her eyes fixed on the ground. Kaito's curiosity got the better of him, and he quickened his pace, his heart pounding in his chest.

"Alya-san," he called out, his voice gentle.

Alya looked up, her eyes locking onto his. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the world around them melting away.

"Kaito-kun," she replied, her voice soft.

Kaito's heart skipped a beat. He didn't know what was happening, but he knew he wanted to be a part of it.
