In the beginning, before time and space took shape, the cosmos was a boundless void where two radiant pearls emerged from the primordial chaos. One shone with pure, blinding light—this was the Pearl of Radiance. The other gleamed with profound darkness—the Pearl of Shadows.
From the Pearl of Radiance arose Long, the majestic dragon of light. With his breath, he sculpted the heavens and breathed life into the first immortals, weaving the fabric of order and harmony across the realms. From the Pearl of Shadows slithered forth Hei She, the colossal serpent of darkness. From his coils, the Obsidian Realm was born—a realm of shadow and strife—and the fierce Demons who thrived within it.
Ambitious and consumed by desire, Hei She sought to conquer the heavens and overthrow the light. Yet, the radiant dragon stood firm. A titanic battle shook the skies, and though Hei She was vanquished, his physical form was shattered, and his spirit dissolved into the void.
To guard the heavens and maintain balance, Long divided himself into three celestial dragons: Long Zhaoyang, dragon of the blazing sun; Long Tianyue, dragon of the serene moon; and Long Yaoxing, dragoness of the twinkling stars. Though they did not rule the heavens—that duty belonged to the Heavenly Emperor—their wisdom guided all great decisions, and their names were honored across the Three Realms.
Thus, light and darkness remained forever intertwined, their legacy shaping the fate of the cosmos, although whispers crawled underfoot warning of a day a battle between light and darkness would rise again.
