Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Reborn in the Hunter World

In the bathroom, beside the sink, a young man appeared in the mirror.

The youth opened his eyes wide, carefully observing himself in the mirror. His eyes were red, with tomoe patterns within them.

"Sharingan? Unfortunately, it's not the real Sharingan." Looking at his eyes in the mirror, the youth said with a hint of regret.

"But its potential is still great. Since I've already mastered Gyo, does it start directly at two tomoe?"

He felt the power in his eyes.

"With the power of the Sharingan, I can start training in physical techniques."

The youth's name was Luci Felix.

He was a reincarnator.

Reborn into the Hunter x Hunter world, he was innately a Nen user.

However, his Sharingan wasn't the authentic Sharingan from the Naruto world but was instead derived from Nen of the Transmutation type.

His ability was unclear—whether it was a "system" or a Nen ability.

Luci was a Specialization type Nen user, with an ability called "Check-in."

He could "check in" to obtain items from other dimensions. Starting from the day of his birth, he could perform a check-in once every 12 years.

Today was his second check-in, the first being at birth.

The Sharingan was the item he obtained from this check-in, its abilities altered to suit the world he was in.

In the Naruto world, the Sharingan possessed many powerful abilities.

But Luci's Sharingan in this world was somewhat different.

In the mirror, Luci's Sharingan changed, shifting from two tomoe to one tomoe.

"One tomoe is the default bloodline ability, but starting from two tomoe, it requires Nen to activate?"

Having just acquired the Sharingan, Luci hadn't fully grasped its abilities yet.

A bloodline ability activated by Nen?

The one-tomoed Sharingan granted innate Gyo (not just opening aura nodes but also the ability to see through concealment) and enhanced dynamic vision.

The two-tomoed Sharingan added a copying ability, allowing him to replicate physical techniques.

Luci speculated that it might also allow him to copy Enhancement type Nen abilities.

The three-tomoed Sharingan possessed hypnotic illusion abilities.

The Mangekyou Sharingan would allow the use of Susanoo, like piloting a giant mech.

Starting from two tomoe, Nen was required to activate it.

In the mirror, the tomoe in Luci's eyes changed again, from one tomoe to two, then to three.

From two tomoe onward, it consumed Nen. The copying ability required Nen, as did the hypnotic ability.

Luci tried to activate the Mangekyou but found he couldn't. It wasn't just a matter of insufficient Nen—there seemed to be some restriction, requiring specific conditions to unlock it.

"Since the world is different, the conditions to awaken it are probably different too, right?" Luci thought about the Uchiha clan's method of awakening their eyes.

The "Check-in" ability didn't make Luci instantly powerful.

For example, the first item Luci obtained from a check-in was a phoenix, a magical creature from the Harry Potter world.

In this world, it became his Nen ability.

It was called Nen Beast: Phoenix.

Luci began trying to "deactivate" his Sharingan, and soon his eyes returned to black pupils.

Being able to deactivate it was good—otherwise, people might mistake it for the Crimson Eyes.

Still, he might need contact lenses. Did contact lenses even exist in this world?

Luci wasn't entirely sure.

Regarding Hunter x Hunter, Luci had some knowledge, as it was one of his favorite anime.

However, he wasn't clear on the specific timeline.

But it was definitely before the main storyline began.

One reason was the environment he was in, which gave him some clues.

Luci was born in Kuri City (a fan-made setting). This might not ring a bell, but the city is home to the world-famous Sky Arena, which makes it clear where it is.

The famous fighting city in the Hunter x Hunter world, where the protagonists Gon and Killua learned Nen.

Luci was born here, and though he wasn't exactly an orphan, it was close enough.

His father was unknown, and his mother, a working woman, abandoned him a few days after birth. He was lucky to survive, or he might have died long ago.

Based on the Sky Arena, he could tell it was before the main storyline.

The Sky Arena here was somewhat different from what he knew from the anime. For one, the rewards were different, and the technology, like household appliances, was less advanced.

There were no large screens at the Sky Arena, and even televisions were still black-and-white.

Matches could only be watched live, with no recordings or broadcasts.

It was quite different from the Sky Arena in the anime.

Another clue was President Netero.

As a renowned fighting city, Sky Arena held a martial arts tournament every few years, and the world-famous martial artist Netero would appear here.

Luci had never met him in person but had seen newspapers, magazines, and photos.

The current Netero was clearly much younger than in the anime.

Luci had reason to believe that it was still a considerable time before the "main story" began.

After familiarizing himself with the Sharingan, Luci began to plan.

Reborn in the Hunter x Hunter world and innately gifted with Nen, his mindset was naturally different from his previous life.

What was once just a fantasy could now become reality.

Supernatural powers were now within his grasp, and the exciting adventures from the anime were now something he could truly experience.

The many unknowns of the Hunter x Hunter world were calling to him.

What was the Dark Continent really like?

When he was reborn, Hunter x Hunter hadn't been completed yet.

Of course, to explore those unknowns, he first needed great strength.

The Hunter x Hunter world was far from safe, vastly different from a typical modern society.

Gangs thrived, wanted criminals roamed, most countries didn't ban guns, wars raged, and disasters caused by magical beasts or dangerous creatures were common.

Even in the known human world, it was far from safe.

If he had to compare, the Hunter x Hunter world was much like the "fantasy novel" worlds he had read in his previous life.

Fortunately, Luci, who was born with mastery of Nen, was already far beyond ordinary people.

Moreover, his ability was tied to "other worlds," ensuring his strength wouldn't be ordinary.

The only downside was that, while powerful, his check-in ability could only be used once every 12 years.

That was a bit long, and unless he could check in for a life-extending ability, his potential had a limit.

Having come to a world with supernatural powers, how could Luci not dream of immortality or "ascending to godhood"?

And in the Hunter x Hunter world, there was the existence of "longevity rice."

Don Freecss had lived for centuries.

Luci believed that as long as he lived long enough, he would only grow stronger, and the unknowns of this world would all be explored by him.

Leaving the bathroom, he lay down to sleep.

He had already set a small goal in his mind: to start as a referee.
